[0001] Description
[0002] Storage system and motor vehicle
[0003] The invention relates to a storage system for storing an object in a panel, and to a motor vehicle comprising the storage system.
[0004] In many countries, it is necessary to carry certain items of equipment in a motor vehicle for safety reasons. In addition, customers often request that certain items be carried in their vehicles.
[0005] A typical piece of equipment is a warning triangle, which should take up little space when stored in the vehicle, while at the same time being easy and safe to reach for quick use of the warning triangle in the event of a dangerous situation.
[0006] It is known that the warning triangle can be incorporated, for example, into the trim of a rear hatch of a passenger car.
[0007] One embodiment of this warning triangle mount, for example, provides for the warning triangle to be held by fixed contact elements. These fixed contact elements rest on the warning triangle or its housing. The disadvantage, however, is that such warning triangle mounts are not suitable for accommodating warning triangles with different geometric dimensions and / or tolerances.
[0008] Furthermore, with such designs, it cannot be ruled out that, particularly over the longer service life of the warning triangle or the mounting panel, play may develop between the warning triangle and the panel, which can lead to unwanted rattling noises when the vehicle vibrates. This disadvantage can be remedied by repositioning or subsequently adjusting the mounting elements on the warning triangle, although this involves a corresponding amount of personnel and time.
[0009] WO2018114146A1 discloses a further embodiment comprising a device for holding an object on an interior panel of a vehicle, wherein the interior panel forms a recess for receiving the object and has holding means for fixing the object in the recess. Advantageously, at least two oppositely arranged projections, which function as first holding means and narrow a loading opening of the recess, are provided and arranged such that, during loading of the recess with the object to be held, the object can be inserted into the recess between the projections exclusively with a narrow side of the object leading, and is or can be enclosed in the recess—in particular on all sides—by a subsequent rotational movement about a longitudinal axis of the object.
[0010] The present invention is based on the object of providing a storage system and a motor vehicle equipped therewith, which enable the arrangement of an object in or on a panel of the motor vehicle in a simple, cost-saving and volume-efficient manner.
[0011] This object is achieved by the storage system according to claim 1 and by the motor vehicle according to claim 10. Advantageous embodiments of the storage system are specified in subclaims 2-9.
[0012] A first aspect of the invention is a storage system for storing an object in a casing, comprising a casing with a cavity and an object received or to be received in the cavity of the casing, wherein the casing has at least one spring element with an elastically deformable contact side for contact with the object on at least one wall delimiting the cavity, and wherein the object is at least partially designed with an edge-shaped element and the spring element is arranged and designed such that a spring force is applied to the object in its state received in the cavity with spring-force-induced deformation of the contact side of the spring element for the purpose of fixing the object, so that the contact side of the spring element wraps around the edge-shaped element at least in sections. The paneling can, for example, be an interior paneling, such as the interior paneling of a tailgate of a passenger car. The paneling is thus a solid object that essentially extends in a main plane of extension.
[0013] In an alternative embodiment, it is provided that the panel is part of a body component.
[0014] The cavity is a hollow space that is open at least on one side, whereby an opening providing access to the cavity can extend parallel to the main extension plane of the cladding, or at an angle to it, up to a perpendicular extension to the main extension plane.
[0015] The main extension plane of the visible surface of the panel is the plane along which the panel extends with the side that is visible when mounted on the motor vehicle.
[0016] The article can, for example, be a foldable warning triangle, which itself forms the edge shaped element or several edge shaped elements. In one embodiment, the warning triangle comprises a housing, which itself forms the edge shaped element or several edge shaped elements. A wall of the cavity does not necessarily have to be continuous, but the wall can also have interruptions or openings. The edge shaped element is a component of the article. In the embodiment in which the article is formed by a folded warning triangle itself, the edge shaped element is a component of this warning triangle. In the embodiment in which the warning triangle comprises a housing for stowing the frame of the warning triangle, the edge shaped element is a component of the housing. The deformable contact side of the spring element can be formed by a soft body of the spring element, which may also determine the elasticity of the soft body and thus the elastic restoring force of the spring element.
[0017] By wrapping the edge form element, two translational degrees of freedom of the object are blocked in the plane of the object's insertion movement into the cavity. Furthermore, this results in a blocking of one rotational degree of freedom of the object about an axis running perpendicular to the plane of the object's insertion movement into the cavity. Along the axis running perpendicular to the plane of the object's insertion movement into the cavity, the wrapping contact of the contact side of the spring element on the object creates a force-locking connection. Depending on the magnitude of the spring force exerted and the surface properties of the object and the contact side, this can also result in a force-locking fixation of the object in a translational degree of freedom along this axis.
[0018] This allows the object to be fixed in its most important degrees of freedom in or on the panel, while at the same time ensuring simple, space-saving placement of the object in or on the panel and the possibility of easy manual removal from or on the panel.
[0019] The use of the spring element with its soft contact side makes it possible to adapt to objects with different contours and / or compensate for tolerances, thus locking objects of different shapes and / or sizes. The object is held under preload, ensuring that it remains securely fixed in the cavity even in the event of a crash. This eliminates the need to readjust or subsequently adjust the position of contact elements on the object for the purpose of securing it.
[0020] In an advantageous embodiment of the storage system, the lining has at least one support rib on at least one wall of the cavity opposite the spring element, for supporting a spring force applied by the spring element to the object via its contact side. Depending on the spatial arrangement of the object and the support rib, this can also be configured to partially absorb the weight of the object. The shape of the support rib is not limited to a narrow element; the support rib can also be wide, for example, up to 1 / 3 of the length of the object.
[0021] Furthermore, the storage system can be designed such that the lining has at least one further spring element on at least one wall of the cavity opposite the spring element, for supporting a spring force applied by the spring element to the object via its contact side. The further spring element can be designed like the first-mentioned spring element described above and perform the same function. Depending on the spatial arrangement of the object and the further spring element, the latter can also be configured to partially absorb the weight of the object.
[0022] The cavity can be open on one side, which runs in an opening plane that extends essentially perpendicular to a main extension plane of a visible surface of the panel. If the cavity is formed in the interior panel of a tailgate of a passenger car, the main extension plane of the visible surface of the panel runs transversely to the direction of travel of the passenger car. The cavity can accordingly form a downward-facing pocket for receiving the object.
[0023] The storage system can be designed such that multiple spring elements are arranged on multiple edge elements on the same side of the object. The object can also be equipped with at least one longer edge, which has multiple edge elements spaced apart along the edge, against which spring elements rest. The individual, spaced-apart edge elements do not need to be clearly separated from one another.
[0024] In the object received in the cavity, spring elements and / or support ribs can be arranged parallel to the direction of extension at different positions, at least with respect to one direction of extension of the object, on opposite sides of the object and transversely offset to the direction of extension. This means that the spring elements and / or support ribs are not arranged opposite one another.
[0025] As a result, when the object is elastically bent due to forces being applied to the object at a distance from one another by means of spring elements and / or support ribs, the elastic restoring force of the object can increase the contact forces between a respective spring element and the object or a respective support rib and the object, so that a force-fitting connection between the object and the spring element or between the object and the support rib is strengthened.
[0026] At least the contact side of the spring element can be formed from an elastomer. The elastomer can be a thermoplastic elastomer. The softness and elastic deformability of the elastomer enable the edge-forming element to wrap around it. If only the contact side is soft or elastic, an element forming the contact side can be attached, for example, by injection molding, to a harder plastic part that forms another component of the spring element, so that the spring element is a multi-component component.
[0027] At least the contact side of the spring element, and possibly also the entire spring element, can have, for example, a hardness of maximum 50° Shore A and / or a modulus of elasticity of maximum 1 GPa, so that the contact side of the spring element is easily elastically deformable and can accordingly be elastically deformed in a simple manner by an edge forming element, so that the contact side wraps around the edge forming element.
[0028] The edge element of the object can be formed by two surfaces running perpendicular to each other. However, this does not preclude the possibility of a rounded shape being realized at the angle vertex between these two surfaces.
[0029] Depending on the design of the warning triangle, with or without a housing, these two surfaces running perpendicular to each other are either components of the collapsible frame of the warning triangle or components of the housing.
[0030] The wrapping of the edge shaped element by the contact side thus creates a contact with these two surfaces running perpendicular to each other, so that the object with its edge shaped element penetrates into the contact side like a wedge and is accordingly partially covered by the contact side on this wedge formed by the object.
[0031] Minor deviations from this are included in the basic idea of the invention, such as that the surfaces of the edge-shaped element may run at a slightly different angle than 90° to one another, and / or that the surfaces forming the edge-shaped element are not fully contacted by the contact side in the area of the contact of the contact side of the spring element.
[0032] The object can be, for example, a warning triangle. The edge-shaped elements can be formed by the folded warning triangle itself or by a housing of the warning triangle.
[0033] A further aspect of the present invention is a motor vehicle comprising at least one described storage system. This motor vehicle can be, for example, a passenger car, a motor vehicle that is at least partially electric-driven, or optionally an at least partially autonomously driven motor vehicle.
[0034] The invention is explained below with reference to the embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings.
[0035] It shows
[0036] Figure 1: a panel of the storage system in frontal view,
[0037] Figure 2: detail A from Figure 1 , and
[0038] Figure 3: a sectional view of the storage system along section line BB in Figure 1.
[0039] First, the panel 10 of the storage system is explained with reference to Figure 1. The panel 10 shown here is an interior panel of a tailgate of a passenger car and thus extends predominantly along a main extension plane, which is indicated in Figure 3.
[0040] The cladding 10 forms a cavity 12 that opens upwards. Accordingly, the opening 20 of the cavity 12 is located on its upper side, so that the opening plane 21 runs essentially perpendicular to the main extension plane, which runs parallel to the plane of the illustration, and the passage direction of the opening 22 in turn runs parallel to the main extension plane. In the embodiment illustrated here, the cavity 12 is delimited by a first wall 13, the outer side of which is visible in Figure 1, and by a second wall 14 opposite the first wall. Support ribs 23 and at least one spring element 30 are arranged on the partially visible second wall 14 in the embodiment illustrated here.
[0041] Figure 2 shows, in an enlargement of detail A indicated in Figure 1, the support ribs 23 and the spring element 30. It can be seen that the spring element 30 has a raised region which forms a contact side 31 for contact with an object not shown here. It can also be seen that the support ribs 23 have an angular shape, so that they are suitable for enclosing a corner area. Figure 3 shows the entire storage system 1 in a sectional view along the section line BB indicated in Figure 1. Here it can be seen that the object 50 is arranged in the cavity 12, which can be, for example, a folded warning triangle, of which only the housing is shown here.
[0042] The section BB runs here in an area in which a further spring element 40 is arranged, namely on the inside of the first wall 13.
[0043] The further spring element 40 is designed in accordance with the spring element 30 shown and described in Figure 2. Aspects of the present invention are explained below with reference to the further spring element 40.
[0044] The further spring element 40 rests against the object 50 in the region of an edge-shaped element 70 formed by a rounded edge 60. This edge-shaped element 70 is formed by two mutually perpendicular surfaces, namely a first surface 71 and a second surface 72, wherein, however, a rounding is realized at the angle apex between these two surfaces 71, 72.
[0045] The contact side 31 of the further spring element 40 encloses the edge-shaped element 70 and rests against the surfaces 71, 72 forming the edge-shaped element 70 in a wrap-around area 80, so that the edge-shaped element 70 is embedded in the contact side 31 of the further spring element 30.
[0046] On the diagonally opposite side of the object 50, it is supported by a support rib 23.
[0047] Accordingly, the object 50 is blocked in a first translational degree of freedom 81 and in a second translational degree of freedom 82 extending perpendicularly thereto by the enclosure or wrap provided by the further spring element 40 and by the opposing support provided by the support rib 23. Likewise, the object 50 is deprived of a rotational degree of freedom 83.
[0048] When an insertion movement 91 indicated in Figure 3 is carried out in a plane of the insertion movement 90, which is again shown in Figure 1, the object 50 passes through the opening 20 into the cavity 12, where, with appropriate positioning, it comes into contact with at least one edge-forming element 70 in such a way that the spring element 30, 40 presses its contact side 31 against the edge-forming element 70 with a corresponding spring force 32 and thus partially wraps around it, so that the aforementioned degrees of freedom 81, 82, 83 are fixed in a form-fitting manner. Depending on the magnitude of the respective spring force 32 and the surface properties of the object 50 or the edge-forming element 70, further degrees of freedom of the object 50 can, if necessary, also be fixed in a force-fitting manner.
