Abstract
Description
A TRAVELING GUIDANCE SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF FIELD OF INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a traveling guidance system, and in particular to the system that is adaptable to suggest the best possible mode of traveling from the desired source point to the destination point. More particularly, the system is adaptable to provide the most economical mode of transportation, in real-time, for desired journey routes. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Typically, travel, whether for work, leisure, or exploration, has always been an essential part of human life. People may choose, with various modes of transportation available, the one that best suits their needs in terms of cost, speed, convenience, and comfort, and in recent times there are multiple modes of transportation available with different fare costs. Further, the cost of transportation varies with the service providers and the types of transportation available in the region.
[0003] However, the cost of transportation may fluctuate based on several factors, including the service provider, the type of transportation, and regional characteristics. Further, the regional factors may include geography, infrastructure, local demand, and government regulations such as taxes, tariffs, and regulations can also impact the cost of transportation. For example, regions with higher taxes on fuel or emissions standards may see higher operational costs for transportation providers.
[0004] Diversity in transportation options can sometimes create confusion for travelers due to the wide variety of choices available. While having multiple transportation options can be beneficial, it can also lead to challenges in decision-making and understanding how to navigate the system. Some key reasons for this confusion include different transportation providers often have varying pricing structures and schedules, travelers need to use separate apps. Further, the use of multipleapps and technology platforms for booking rides or accessing transportation services can pose a challenge, especially for less tech-savvy travelers.
[0005] Further, the available technologies for travel guidance primarily focus on path finding and traffic management and have limitations such as technologies are majorly focused on road navigation, rely on user data to predict traffic patterns but can still miss sudden localized issues.
[0006] A patent application JP2009064283A titled “Traffic information providing system and traffic information providing method” discloses about a traffic information providing system and a traffic information providing method for properly collecting and analyzing traffic information. This traffic information providing system is provided with a control part of a communication part for acquiring ID and latitude / longitude from a GPS receiver mounted on a vehicle; a database for storing vehicle trajectory information acquired by associating the latitude / longitude and the date with the ID, and for storing zone information or link information showing a route to be analyzed; and a management server for extracting information on an object passing through the route of the zone information or link information by referring to the vehicle trajectory information and a communication part for outputting the extracted object information as OD information, OD trip information and traffic index information. Thus, it is possible to prevent the vehicle trajectory information passing through the route of the zone information or the link information from being extracted when traveling state satisfies predetermined exclusion conditions.
[0007] A patent application CN109887288B titled “Urban road network guidance scheme publishing method and system based on travel structure” discloses about a method and a system for releasing an urban road network guidance scheme based on a travel structure, wherein the system comprises a data access module, a demand structure analysis module, a guidance path searching module, a guidance strategy generating module and a guidance releasing module; firstly, acquiring a vehicle passing record of a vehicle gate of a full road network in a specified time period through a data access module, and acquiring a trip structure of the vehicle from the vehicle passing record of the gate; then, constructing a road network topological structure according to the travel structure to obtain an OD point pair set of the road network and a corresponding travel path set;then, acquiring real-time traffic flow data of the travel path set, and generating a congestion road section set based on the traffic flow data; meanwhile, constructing a guidance path search model based on the congested road section set, and generating a plurality of guidance paths for each OD point pair based on the traffic running condition and the historical traffic track of the road network; finally, determining an optimal induction release strategy and a suboptimal induction release strategy according to the travel of the motor vehicle; the invention can improve the traffic efficiency of the road network.
[0008] However, the available technologies are limited and adaptable to provide only solutions for traffic and route optimization and fail to provide any solution for traveling cost optimization. Further, to overcome available limitations, there is a need for the system which is adaptable to provide the best method of traveling based on the available mode of transportation and cost.
