Abstract
Description
Hair cosmetic composition with excellent photoprotective efficacy
[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for hair with excellent photoprotective efficacy, and specifically, to a cosmetic composition for hair with significantly excellent photoprotective efficacy for hair by including two or more specific silicone oils.
[0002] In modern society, the frequency of exposure to various environmental factors, particularly rays such as ultraviolet (UV), visible light, and infrared (IR), is increasing. These rays act as major factors that can damage not only the skin but also the hair.
[0003] If hair is continuously exposed to harmful rays, it may become dry or breakage, lose elasticity and become rough, and lose its shine.
[0004] However, since hair damage caused by exposure to harmful rays is usually painless, it often goes unrecognized and is neglected, leading to severe damage. As such damage also has a negative aesthetic impact, there is a need for a product that can prevent hair damage, maintain its natural shine, and provide long-term protection against harmful rays.
[0005] Existing hair protection products are primarily designed to protect hair from external heat, and there are almost no products designed to protect hair from light. However, there is a problem in that if an excessive amount of light stabilizer is applied to a product for light protection of hair, an excessive amount of oil is added to dissolve it, resulting in a formulation that is unsuitable for application to hair, and if a small amount of light stabilizer is applied, it cannot provide sufficient light protection.
[0006] In order to solve these problems, the inventors continued research to develop a cosmetic composition that exhibits sufficient photoprotective efficacy with only a small amount of photostabilizer while having a texture suitable for use in hair products. As a result, by combining a specific silicone oil and a thickening agent, they completed a cosmetic composition that exhibits excellent photoprotective efficacy for hair and is suitable for application to hair.
[0007] The present invention aims to provide a cosmetic composition for hair with excellent photoprotective efficacy.
[0008] The technical problems of the present invention are not limited to those mentioned above, and other unmentioned technical problems will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below.
[0009] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a cosmetic composition for hair with excellent photoprotective efficacy is provided, comprising two or more silicone oils and a light stabilizer, wherein the two or more silicone oils comprise at least one functional group among a hydroxyl group, a primary amine, and a secondary amine.
[0010] The hair cosmetic composition of the present invention can exhibit significantly superior harmful light blocking efficacy by including two or more specific types of silicone oils.
[0011] In addition, the above-mentioned cosmetic composition for hair can achieve an excellent user experience despite the application of a large amount of oil to dissolve the light stabilizer.

[0023] Unless otherwise defined, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by a skilled expert in the art to which the present invention pertains. In general, the nomenclature used herein is well known and commonly used in the art. Furthermore, in describing embodiments of the present invention, detailed descriptions of related known components or functions are omitted if it is determined that such detailed descriptions would hinder understanding of the embodiments of the present invention. Additionally, while embodiments of the present invention will be described below, the technical concept of the present invention is not limited or restricted thereto and can be modified and implemented in various ways by those skilled in the art.
[0024] In this specification, when a part is described as including a certain component, it means that, unless specifically stated otherwise, it does not exclude other components but may include additional components. In this specification, the term "and / or" includes a combination of a plurality of related items or any one of a plurality of related items.
[0025]
[0026] According to an embodiment of the present invention, a cosmetic composition for hair with excellent photoprotective efficacy is provided. The cosmetic composition for hair of the present invention comprises two or more types of silicone oils and a light stabilizer. The two or more types of silicone oils may include at least one functional group selected from a hydroxyl group (-OH), a primary amine (-NH2), and a secondary amine (-NHR1). The inventors of the present invention have confirmed that when two or more types of silicone oils containing the above functional groups are included, the cosmetic composition can adhere more closely to the hair due to hydrogen bonding between the silicone oils having negative charge and polarity of the hair, thereby significantly increasing the photoprotective efficacy.
[0027] In this specification, “photoprotective efficacy” means the efficacy of blocking harmful rays from an external environment, such as ultraviolet rays, and by exhibiting photoprotective efficacy, damage to the hair caused by harmful rays can be prevented, thereby reducing changes in hair color, thickness, and / or strength.
[0028] In one embodiment, two or more silicone oils of the present invention may be included in an amount of 1 to 20 weight% based on the total weight of the hair cosmetic composition, specifically 3 to 15 weight%, and more specifically 3 to 10 weight%. If the two or more silicone oils are included in an amount of less than 3 weight%, a synergistic photoprotective effect may not occur, and if they are included in an amount exceeding 20 weight%, the oily sensation may become strong, resulting in a sensation that is not suitable for use as a hair cosmetic composition.
[0029] In one embodiment, the two or more silicone oils of the present invention may include silicone oils of the dimethiconol and amodimethicone series. Specifically, the silicone oil of the amodimethicone series may include, but is not limited to, bis(C13-15 alkoxy) PG-amodimethicone. The bis(C13-15 alkoxy) PG-amodimethicone can scatter harmful light rays through a high refractive index due to its large molecular structure, and the two silicone oils can form stronger bonds due to hydrogen bonding, thereby exhibiting a superior synergistic effect of light protection.
[0030] In a specific embodiment, the dimethiconol and amodimethicone-based silicone oils may be included in a weight ratio of 1:0.04 to 25, specifically in a weight ratio of 1:0.5 to 20, and more specifically in a weight ratio of 1:0.1 to 10. When the two types of silicone oils are included in the above weight ratios, an even better synergistic effect of light protection and an excellent user experience can be achieved.

[0045] In one embodiment, the oil may be included in an amount of 3 to 15 weight%, specifically 4 to 12 weight%, and more specifically 5 to 10 weight% based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition for hair. However, it is not limited thereto.
[0046]
[0047] In one embodiment, the hair cosmetic composition of the present invention may further include a moisturizer, a preservative, or a functional ingredient.
[0048] The above moisturizer provides moisture to the skin or maintains moisture in the skin and provides a continuous moisturizing sensation. [0058]
[0059] In the following, examples and experimental examples are presented to further explain the present invention in more detail, but the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0060]
[0061] Experimental Example 1. Comparative experiment according to silicone oil type
[0062] (1) Preparation of Examples and Comparative Examples
[0063] In order to confirm the difference in effect according to the type of silicone oil in the present invention, cosmetic compositions for hair of the Examples and Comparative Examples were prepared as shown in Table 1 below. The units in Table 1 below are weight%.
[0064]
[0065]
[0066] The specific manufacturing method is as follows.
[0067] After heating purified water to 80°C or higher, a thickening agent, preservative, ion chelating agent, humectant, and conditioning agent were added and completely dispersed while stirring with an AGI-HOMOMIXER to prepare a first mixture. In a separate container, oil and a light stabilizer were heated to 80°C or higher to completely dissolve them, and the oil and light stabilizer were added to the first mixture while stirring with an AGI-HOMOMIXER for an additional 5 minutes to prepare a second mixture. Silicone oil was added to the second mixture while stirring with an AGI-HOMOMIXER for 3 minutes, and then cooled to 30°C to complete the examples and comparative examples.
[0068]
[0069] (2) Measurement of photoprotection efficacy
[0070] Photoprotection efficacy was measured for the above examples and comparative examples prepared with the ingredients and content as shown in Table 1. To measure the photoprotection efficacy, SPF measurements were performed using a Multiport simulator (601-300) and Mark-Vu at light intensities of 80,000 to 100,000 mJ / cm² per port. 2 , 1.3 mg / cm² on a PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) sample plate 2 The SPF of the above examples and comparative examples was measured under the condition that the sample was applied in an amount and stabilized for 15 to 30 minutes before application.
[0071] In addition, colorimeter and brightness difference measurements were performed to measure the degree of hair discoloration caused by harmful light. Specifically, color information was generated on dry hair using a colorimeter (Spectrophotometer CM-600d, Konica Minolta), then the example or comparative example was applied to the dry hair and left for 30 minutes, and then ultraviolet rays were irradiated on the left-behind hair for 10 minutes under the same conditions as in the SPF measurement. Afterward, color information was generated again using the colorimeter, and the color difference value (△E) and brightness difference (△L) were measured four times, and the average value was calculated. The color difference value (△E) was calculated by measuring the L*, a*, and b* coordinate values indicated by the hue tab in the L* (lightness), a* (red-green degree), and b* (yellow-blue degree) color space, and by the following formula.
[0072]
[0073] The smaller the above color difference value (△E) and brightness difference value (△L), the less hair damage is assessed to be caused by harmful rays.
[0074] The measurement results by the above method are shown in Table 2 below, and Figure 1 shows photographs of samples taken after irradiating hair with harmful light before and after the application of the formulation for colorimeter measurements of Comparative Examples 1 to 5.
[0075]
[0076]
[0077] According to Table 2 above, Comparative Example 1, which does not contain silicone oil; Comparative Examples 2 to 5, which contain only one type of silicone oil; and Comparative Examples 6 to 7, which contain two types of silicone oil but contain only one type of silicone oil containing at least one of a hydroxyl group, a primary amine, and a secondary amine within the molecule, were found to have SPF values of approximately 5 to 15. On the other hand, Example 1, which contains dimethiconol containing a hydroxyl group within the molecule and bis(C13-15 alkoxy) PG-amodimethicone, an amodimethicone-based silicone oil containing a primary amine and a secondary amine within the molecule, was found to have an excellent SPF value. In addition, regarding color difference and brightness difference, Example 1 was found to have lower values compared to Comparative Examples 1 to 7, confirming that it has excellent efficacy in protecting hair from harmful light. The above measurement results of photoprotective efficacy suggest that the cosmetic composition can adhere more closely to the hair due to the interaction of hydrogen bonds between the negative charge and polar silicone oil of the hair, thereby significantly enhancing the photoprotective efficacy.
[0078] Accordingly, it has been confirmed that including two or more types of silicone oils containing at least one of a hydroxyl group, a primary amine, and a secondary amine is an important component in the preparation of a cosmetic composition for hair with excellent photoprotective efficacy, which is the objective of the present invention.
[0079]
[0080] Experimental Example 2. Comparative experiment according to the weight ratio of two types of silicone oils
[0081] (1) Preparation of Examples and Comparative Examples
[0082] In order to confirm the difference in effect according to the weight ratio of the two types of silicone oils in the present invention, an example was prepared as shown in Table 3 below using the same manufacturing method as Experimental Example 1 above. Specifically, only the weight ratio of the two types of silicone oils in Example 1, dimethiconol and bis(C13-15 alkoxy) PG-amodimethicone, a silicone oil of the amodimethicone series, was changed, while the remaining components and content are the same as in Example 1. The content in Table 3 below is in weight%.
[0083]
[0084]
[0085] (2) Measurement of photoprotection efficacy
[0086] For the above examples and comparative examples prepared with the ingredients and content as shown in Table 3 above, the photoprotective efficacy was measured using the same method as in Experimental Example 1 above, and the results are shown in Table 4 below. Figure 2 shows photographs of samples taken after irradiating hair with harmful light before and after application of the formulation for colorimeter measurements of Examples 1 to 3.
[0087]
[0088]
[0089] According to Table 4 above, Examples 1 to 3, which contain at least two types of silicone oils containing at least one of a hydroxyl group, a primary amine, and a secondary amine in an appropriate weight ratio, were all confirmed to have high SPF values and low color difference and brightness difference values, indicating excellent efficacy in protecting hair from harmful light. On the other hand, Comparative Example 8, which contains less than the appropriate weight ratio of amodimethicone-based silicone oil, and Comparative Example 9, which contains less than the appropriate weight ratio of dimethiconol, showed improved efficacy compared to Comparative Examples 1 to 7, which used other silicone oils, but were confirmed to have lower SPF values and higher color difference and brightness difference values compared to Examples 1 to 3, indicating poor photoprotective efficacy for hair.
[0090] Accordingly, it was confirmed that including a silicone oil containing at least one of two or more hydroxyl groups, a primary amine, and a secondary amine in an appropriate weight ratio is an important component in the preparation of a hair cosmetic composition with excellent photoprotective efficacy, which is the objective of the present invention.
[0091]
[0092] Experimental Example 3. Comparative experiment according to type and content of thickener
[0093] (1) Preparation of Examples and Comparative Examples
[0094] In order to confirm the effects according to the type and content of the thickener in the present invention, examples and comparative examples were prepared as shown in Table 5 below using the same manufacturing method as Experimental Example 1 above. Specifically, at least one of the gum thickener and the acrylate-based thickener was excluded or its content was changed from Example 1, while the remaining components and content are the same as in Example 1. The contents in Table 5 below are in weight%.
[0095]
[0096]
[0097] (2) Measurement of photoprotection efficacy and evaluation of usability
[0098] For the above examples and comparative examples prepared with the ingredients and content as shown in Table 5 above, photoprotective efficacy was measured using the same method as in Experimental Example 1 above, and the results are shown in Table 6 below. In addition, to determine whether they are suitable for application to hair depending on changes in the type or content of the thickener, 10 members of a professional evaluation panel were asked to apply an appropriate amount of the comparative example to their hair to evaluate the user experience, and the results are shown in Table 6 below.
[0099]
[0100]
[0101] According to Table 6 above, Comparative Example 10, which does not contain ammonium acryloyl dimethyl taurate / VP copolymer, was found to have a suitable texture for application to hair, but its photoprotective efficacy on hair was found to be very poor due to a low SPF value and high color difference and brightness difference values. In addition, Comparative Example 11, in which an equal amount of xanthan gum was substituted for the weight of ammonium acryloyl dimethyl taurate / VP copolymer in Example 1, was found to have poor texture due to being very stiff, in addition to having poor photoprotective efficacy similar to Comparative Example 10. Comparative Example 12, which does not contain xanthan gum, and Comparative Examples 13 and 15, which contain less than the appropriate amount of xanthan gum or ammonium acryloyl dimethyl taurate / VP copolymer, achieved a formulation with a suitable texture, but the photoprotective efficacy on hair was poor. In addition, Comparative Examples 14 and 16, which contained an excess amount of xanthan gum or ammonium acryloyl dimethyl taurate / VP copolymer compared to the appropriate content, showed high photoprotective efficacy compared to other comparative examples of the present experiment, but had poor usability to the extent that application was impossible.
[0102] Therefore, it was confirmed that including two specific types of thickening agents in appropriate amounts is an important component in the manufacture of a hair cosmetic composition with excellent photoprotective efficacy, which is the objective of the present invention.
[0103]
[0104] Experimental Example 4. Evaluation of the efficacy of preventing ultraviolet light-induced fading of dyed hair
[0105]
[0106] For the above Examples 1 to 3, which demonstrated excellent photoprotective efficacy, an evaluation of the anti-fading efficacy of dyed hair caused by ultraviolet rays was conducted. Specifically, samples were prepared on red-dyed hair with or without any of Examples 1 to 3 applied, and after irradiating with ultraviolet rays under the same conditions as in the photoprotective efficacy measurement experiment, the color difference (△a*) regarding the degree of red-green was calculated. Since red-dyed hair was used, a smaller △a* value, which is the color difference regarding the degree of red-green, corresponds to superior anti-fading efficacy. After repeating the above method a total of four times, the average of the measurement results regarding the color difference values was calculated and is shown in Tables 7 and 8 below.
