In an example method, the UE receives a first CSI report configuration for monitoring reporting of CSI compression associated with a CSI resource configuration for channel measurement, wherein the first CSI report configuration comprises a report quantity indicating a monitoring metric of CSI compression and an indication of a second CSI report configuration. The UE determines at least one performance metric corresponding to the monitoring metric of CSI compression based on CSI measurement of one or more transmission occasions of the CSI resource configuration of the first CSI report configuration and one or more inference reports of the second CSI report configuration. The UE further transmits a monitoring report comprising the at least one performance metric.
