Abstract

The disclosure relates to an apparatus (10) for determining a value of at least one characteristic of an eye of an individual (200), comprising: - a housing (22), - a individual's head support (25), - a tonometer arm (100) configured to determine the value of the at least one characteristic, and movable relative to the housing between a position of use and a retracted position distinct from the position of use, and wherein the housing comprises positioning means suitable to determine the position of the individual 's eye relative to the housing when the individual's head rests on the individual's head support, whether the tonometer arm is in retracted position or in position of use.
