[0005] Security installations that are or include security monitoring systems for monitoring premises, often referred to as alarm systems, typically provide a means for detecting the presence and / or actions of people at premises and reacting to detected events. The security monitoring system according to claim 8, wherein the system further comprises at least one additional sensor, optionally at least one movement detector (114, 224), optionally a PIR sensor and / or a radar sensor, arranged in an exterior portion of the premises (100), configured to detect movement in the first and / or second portion (108, 222) of the premises (100).
