Abstract
Provided is a measurement device comprising: a light source configured to irradiate an object being transferred on a transfer path with light; an optical sensor configured to detect the light irradiated from the light source and associated with the object positioned at a detection position on the transfer path; an identification unit configured to identify the state of the object on the basis of a signal acquired by the optical sensor with respect to the light associated with the object; and a diffusion transmission member disposed between the light source and the detection position over regions respectively corresponding to the detection position on the transfer path, a region upstream of the detection position, and a region downstream of the detection position, the diffusion transmission member having a flat surface on the side opposite to the detection position.
