A down recovery method, and a down jacket and a folding method therefor. The down recovery method comprises cutting a compressed down product. Because down in a compressed state requires a certain amount of time to expand to a fluffy state, and the down tends to escape primarily when in the fluffy state, escape of the down in the cutting process can be reduced, thereby helping to reduce loss of the down and reduce waste. All down-filling chambers of the down jacket are at least partially oriented transversely, thereby facilitating folding of all the down-filling chambers of the down jacket to a same cutting line, facilitating subsequent cutting, and further improving the efficiency of down recovery. In the folding method for the down jacket, the down jacket can be folded into a relatively regular block, facilitating handling and storage.
