Abstract

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling including an indication of a channel state information (CSI) report configuration. The CSI report configuration may include an indication of a channel state metric for which the UE is to monitor and may indicate a first event associated with the channel state metric that triggers the UE to transmit a CSI report. In some examples, the UE may obtain a measured value of the channel state metric in accordance with receiving the control signaling. In such examples, the first event may be satisfied in accordance with the measured value of the channel state metric. Accordingly, the UE may transmit the CSI report in response to the satisfaction of the first event.
