Abstract
This automated analyzer comprises: a dispensing unit that dispenses a specimen and a reagent into a first container; an analysis unit that analyzes components of the specimen by using a liquid mixture composed of the specimen and the reagent; a nozzle that suctions the liquid mixture from the first container and sends the liquid mixture to the analysis unit; and a control unit that controls the dispensing unit, the analysis unit, and the nozzle. The automated analyzer has set therein: an analysis step in which at least a first process for dispensing the specimen and the reagent into the first container, a second process for sending the liquid mixture from the first container to the analysis unit, and a third process for analyzing the components of the specimen by using the liquid mixture in the analysis unit are performed in the stated order; and a cleaning step in which at least a fourth process for sending a cleaning liquid from a second container to the analysis unit via the nozzle is executed. The control unit schedules the cleaning step to be executed between a plurality of analysis steps executed sequentially in the analysis unit. Consequently, carry-over can be reduced even when a low sensitivity item and a high sensitivity item are measured continuously.
