Abstract
This detection device for detecting vibration of a subject comprises: a diaphragm that is displaced in accordance with the vibration of the subject; an acquisition unit that acquires a sound signal representing the vibration conveyed from the subject to the diaphragm; a detection unit that detects contact between the diaphragm and the subject; a determination unit that determines a scale for adjusting amplitude of the sound signal on the basis of the sound signal acquired while the contact is being detected; and a conversion unit that adjusts the amplitude of the sound signal by the scale and converts the adjusted sound signal into acoustic data in a predetermined format. Determining and applying the scale on the basis of the sound signal acquired during the period in which the contact between the diaphragm and the subject is detected enables clipping and listening difficulty caused by amplitude difference of the subject to be suppressed, and the sound data can be stably converted into acoustic data in a predetermined format.
