Optical connector boot and loop back connector

Abstract

An optical connector boot according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a housing part having therein a space for housing two optical fiber cables shown in a cross section obtained by cutting a folded part along a plane orthogonal to a first direction. An outermost part in a cross section of the space when the housing part is cut along a plane orthogonal to the first direction extends in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and in a third direction orthogonal to both the first direction and the second direction. A first length, which is the length in the second direction of the outermost part in the cross section of the space, is greater than a second length, which is the length in the third direction of the outermost part in the cross section of the space. The first length is at least twice the diameter of the optical fiber cable when cut along a plane orthogonal to the first direction, and the second length is greater than the diameter and less than twice the diameter.
