Abstract

The present invention relates to a system (100) for the automated layout planning and documentation of layout material which is tailored to room floor plans / areas. The system (100) comprises a data acquisition unit (102) that captures the room dimensions and / or structure using LiDAR technology and creates an Industry Foundation Class (IFC) file containing detailed floor plan or area data together with information relating to floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, heating pipes and / or radiators. A processor (104) extracts the floor plan or an area from the IFC file and creates a graphical representation of the layout plan by receiving layout part dimensions and layout parameters from a user interface. The user can modify the layout part arrangement by cutting out, for example, preferably circular, sections from individual layout parts, thus enabling personalized design solutions. In addition, the processor (104) creates a comprehensive layout plan containing graphical representations of the layout and tabular specifications for each layout part, and offering precise instructions for the layout, for example via individual identifiers or numbering of each layout part. This innovative approach improves design visualization, optimizes material use, and facilitates efficient decision-making in layout planning.
