Abstract

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for video processing. A method for video processing is proposed. The method comprises: determining, for a conversion between a video unit of a video and a bitstream of the video, whether to put a subblock-based merge candidate of the video unit into a subblock-based merge candidate list based on coding information of at least one neighboring block of the video unit, wherein the subblock-based merge candidate is one of: a subblock-based temporal motion vector prediction (sbTMVP) candidate, an affine candidate, or a subblock-based spatial motion vector prediction (sbSMVP) candidate; and performing the conversion based on the subblock-based merge candidate list.
