Abstract

This invention relates to extracts of traditional Chinese medicine, and particularly to the application of a compound extract with lipid-regulating effects in the preparation of lipid-regulating drugs. Experimental studies of this invention have found that a compound traditional Chinese medicine lipid-regulating formula, administered for 14 weeks, can effectively reduce serum total cholesterol levels in hyperlipidemic mice. Furthermore, the lipid-lowering effects of the compound formula at 7.08 g / kg (high-dose group) and 3.54 g / kg (low-dose group) in hyperlipidemic mice are similar to those of simvastatin. Moreover, the dosage of the lipid-regulating compound formula is lower.
