System and methods for filtering waste using ultrasound imaging

Abstract

Systems and methods for filtering out debris from an ultrasound image obtained using an ultrasound imaging system. The methods may include receiving an ultrasound image from a plurality of ultrasound images, determining a zone within the ultrasound image, applying a mask to the ultrasound image zone, wherein the mask is applied to the zone during a first number of iterations, determining a noise level in the ultrasound image, determining, based on the noise level, that additional noise suppression is required, applying the mask to the ultrasound image zone, wherein the mask is applied to the zone during a second number of iterations, and displaying the ultrasound image on a screen.
