A vehicle frame modified to mount a crane hydraulic arm

Abstract

The frame (1) of the vehicle with a modification for placing a crane hydraulic arm is formed by two essentially parallel peripheral longitudinal members of the C profile, a plurality of cross members and in the rear part of the frame (1) a reinforced welded cross member (2) of essentially rectangular plan is placed, the upper surface of which is formed by a plate (4) for seating the hydraulic arm and the lower surface of which is formed by the lower flange of the reinforced welded cross member (2). The reinforced welded cross member (2) is preferably provided with four vertically welded thick-walled tubes (5) for extending threaded rods anchoring the hydraulic arm on the plate (4), the lower ends of which pass through the lower flange of the respective longitudinal member of the reinforced welded cross member (2) and protrude below its plane so that the anchor nuts do not rest directly on these flanges. In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the vehicle's coupling device, usually formed by a hook, is tiltable in order to achieve a full approach angle, which is given by the beveling of the rear lower corners of the side members.
