Abstract

1. Desk display for showing the presence status of a person, consisting of a one-piece body in the form of an equilateral triangular prism with three equally sized, flat side faces, each side face being labelled with a fixed status information and the display being manually rotatable on a table for status indication, so that one side face is always visibly oriented towards a viewer.

Description

[0001] The invention relates to a desk display for showing the presence status of a person in an office environment.

[0002] The display stand consists of a single, three-sided body in the shape of an equilateral triangular prism. Each of the three flat faces is labeled with permanently attached status information. The stand is placed on a table and can be manually rotated so that one of the faces is visibly oriented towards the viewer.

[0003] The purpose of the display is to provide information on whether a person is available at the workplace or is located elsewhere. It should indicate both physical absence and the degree of availability.

[0004] Examples of terms that may be displayed on the side panels are: "Home office" (not in the office, but reachable), "Meeting" (not at your desk, not reachable), "Vacation" (not reachable), "Break" (temporarily unreachable, possibly locatable), "Field service" (not in the office, possibly reachable by phone) or "Sick" (not reachable).

[0005] The labels are permanently applied at the factory. These are not individually writable surfaces. Instead, different product variants with varying status combinations are offered.

[0006] The stand can be made of various materials, such as plastic, wood, or metal. The underside can optionally be fitted with a non-slip coating. The dimensions are preferably approximately 20 cm in length (along the long edge) and approximately 6 cm in height at the sides.

[0007] To improve visibility, the status information can be supplemented with colors or symbols.

Desk display for indicating the presence status of a person, consisting of a one-piece body in the form of an equilateral triangular prism with three equal, flat side faces, each side face being inscribed with a fixed status information and the display being manually rotatable on a table for status indication, such that one side face is visibly oriented towards a viewer at any given time. Desk stand according to claim 1, characterized by that the status information is derived from a predefined selection of terms that describe physical absence from the workplace and the degree of availability, such as "home office", "meeting", "vacation", "break", "field service" or "sick". [3] 3. Desk stand according to any of the preceding claims, characterized by, that different versions of the display stand are each factory-labeled with different combinations of such terms. [4] 4. Desk stand according to any of the preceding claims, characterized by that the status information is additionally supplemented by colors, pictograms or graphic symbols. [5] 5. Desk stand according to any of the preceding claims, characterized by that the body is made of plastic, wood, metal or another dimensionally stable material. [6] 6. Desk stand according to any of the preceding claims, characterized by that the long edge of the prism is approximately 20 cm and the height of the side faces is approximately 6 cm. [7] 7. Desk stand according to any of the preceding claims, characterized by that the underside of the body is provided with a non-slip coating or material layer.
