Main-chain polymers, optical films, methods for producing the same, and multilayer films
A main-chain polymer with photoreactive units and a monovalent carboxylic acid ester end group addresses the inefficiencies of existing methods by enabling the production of low-yellowness inverse wavelength dispersion films without alignment films, improving manufacturing efficiency and reducing costs.

Abstract
To provide a main chain polymer that enables the production of a film with low yellowness (YI).SOLUTION: A main chain polymer includes, in the polymer main chain, a photoreactive-reverse wavelength dispersion unit which expresses both functions of photoreactivity and reverse wavelength dispersion of birefringence. The main chain polymer has at least one end which is a monovalent carboxylate represented by the following formula (2'). [In the formula (2'), R10 is a group selected from the group consisting of an optionally substituted C1-20 alkyl group, an optionally substituted C3-8 cycloalkyl group, and an optionally substituted C3-12 aromatic group. ** denotes a position of bonding to another structure in the main chain polymer].SELECTED DRAWING: None
