Abstract
The present invention relates to the treatment of leachate from a controlled landfill using a geochemical approach. The process involves the preparation of a dolomite-based material and its application as a new geological material for treating leachate. Effluent purification, heavy metal removal, and reduction of the organic load are the cornerstones of this approach.
