Abstract

Verschaft is a milking system with milk cups. The milk cup comprises a cup housing, a teat liner surrounding a teat chamber with a cup milk discharge opening, a pulsation chamber, and a chamber for receiving the milked milk and for milk-air separation. The chamber has a milk supply opening connected to the cup milk discharge opening and a chamber milk discharge opening, as well as a separate chamber air discharge opening above the chamber milk discharge opening. The milking system also features a control system, a milk collection vessel for temporarily collecting a milking, a milk hose between the chamber milk discharge opening and the milk collection vessel, and a controllable vacuum device configured to provide a pulsation vacuum Vp to the pulsation chamber, a milk vacuum Vm to the chamber, and a transport vacuum Vt to the milk collection vessel. The vacuum device is configured to set the transport vacuum Vt depending on a milking parameter.Due to the milk-air separation, the transport vacuum is independent of the milk vacuum. The adjustability of the transport vacuum allows the milking process to be better adapted to the requirements for optimal milking.
