Description

Needleless syringe and method for controlling the same

[0001] The present invention relates to a needleless syringe, and more particularly, to a needleless syringe capable of repeatedly injecting a drug at high speed without an injection needle.

[0002] A syringe is a device used to inject medication into the tissues of a living organism. It consists of a needle inserted into the body, a syringe barrel containing the medication, and a piston that reciprocates within the syringe barrel, pushing the medication into the needle. The needle has a hole to allow the medication to be injected.

[0003] However, in the case of diabetic patients who need to receive injections several times a day, they need to receive injections frequently even while receiving treatment at home rather than in a hospital. However, because of the pain when the needle penetrates the skin, it is difficult for them to inject themselves while receiving treatment at home rather than in a hospital.

[0004] Recently, research and development on needle-less syringes have been actively pursued to alleviate the fear of needles and prevent needle-borne infections.

[0005] However, since existing needleless syringes are designed to inject a certain amount of drug into only one part of the skin at a time, damage to skin tissue may occur.

[0006] In addition, because of the inconvenience of reloading after a single injection, there is a limitation in using it to evenly inject multiple drugs into a large area of skin, such as in the field of skin beauty.

[0007] Accordingly, in order to solve these problems, the present inventors developed the needleless syringe disclosed in Patent Document 1. According to the needleless syringe disclosed in Patent Document 1, a piston that pressurizes and injects a drug is configured to repeatedly move back and forth using a power source such as a solenoid, thereby enabling a small amount of drug to be repeatedly injected at high speed and evenly injected into a wider area of skin.

[0008] (Patent Document 1) Patent Document 1: Republic of Korea Patent No. 10-2088830 (March 9, 2020)

[0009] Figure 11 is a diagram showing the injection depth, injection amount, and skin loss rate of each drug type when supplying drugs into subcutaneous tissue through a needleless syringe. As illustrated in Figure 11, the viscosity (molecular weight) shows a large variation depending on the type of drug. For example, in the case of drugs with a low molecular weight, such as saline, the injection depth is deep but the loss rate is high, and in the case of drugs with a high molecular weight, such as 1% HA polymer, the injection depth is low but the loss rate is low. Therefore, it is necessary to supply drugs to the skin with different pressures and injection amounts depending on the type of drug. However, in the case of needleless syringes such as Patent Document 1, there was an inconvenience in that the user had to manually set the current applied to the solenoid coil, etc. every time the drug solution being used was changed, and there was a problem in that the user had to understand the settings of the needleless syringe for each drug in advance.

[0010] The present invention has been devised to solve the above-mentioned problem, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide a needleless syringe that can automatically set the setting value of the needleless syringe according to the drug being used, even when the user is not aware of the characteristics of the drug used in the needleless syringe, such as viscosity, and the relationship between such characteristics and the setting value of the needleless syringe.

[0028] According to the present invention, by inserting a nozzle part into a main body part, an information part sensor of the main body part recognizes tag information of the information part provided in the nozzle part, and automatically sets a setting value for the operation of a needleless syringe based on the setting value stored in the tag information. Accordingly, the needleless syringe can be operated by automatically setting a setting appropriate for the type of drug without requiring the user to manually set the setting value for the operation of the needleless syringe according to the type of drug filled in the nozzle part. [0055]

[0056] Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of a needleless syringe according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0057] FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram of a needleless syringe according to the present invention, FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining a state in which the nozzle portion and the main body portion of the needleless syringe shown in FIG. 1 are separated, FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of the nozzle portion of the needleless syringe of FIG. 2 and the connecting portion of the main body portion coupled to the nozzle portion, and FIG. 4 is a diagram for explaining a state in which the nozzle portion and the connecting portion shown in FIG. 3 are connected.

[0058] As shown in Fig. 1, the needleless syringe according to the present invention has a main body (100) and a nozzle part (200).

[0059] In the example illustrated in FIG. 1, the main body (100) provides a pulse reciprocating motion of a moving magnet (120) provided inside the main body (100) by a driving force generated from a predetermined power source. In the example illustrated in FIG. 1, the main body (100) is provided with a solenoid coil (110) on the outer periphery, and provides a pulse reciprocating motion of the moving magnet (120) by periodically changing the direction of the current applied to the solenoid coil (110). When the moving magnet (120) moves forward by the magnetic field formed by the current applied to the solenoid coil (110), it collides with the piston (130) at the front, and as the piston (130) moves forward by this collision, it applies a predetermined pressure to the drug within the nozzle portion (200) described below. And, a spring (140) is provided as an elastic member on the inner wall of the main body (100) and the other end of the piston (130), so as to apply a force so that the piston (130) moves forward a certain distance and then moves back to its original position. However, the example illustrated in FIG. 1 is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and there is no limitation as long as it has a configuration that can apply a pressure in the form of a predetermined pulse to the drug filled inside the drug receiving portion (220) of the nozzle portion (200). For example, a configuration that forms power using compressed air or a spring and a motor instead of a solenoid coil may also be used.

[0060] The nozzle part (200) is formed as a hollow cylindrical member and has a drug receiving part (220) filled with a drug therein, and a nozzle hole (210) is formed at the tip. The nozzle part (200) discharges the drug contained in the drug receiving part (220) in the form of a microjet from the nozzle hole (210) according to the pulse-shaped pressure provided by the main body part (100). A hollow cylindrical connecting part (300) to which the nozzle part (200) is coupled is integrally formed at the front end of the main body part (100), and the nozzle part (200) is coupled to the main body part (100) through the connecting part (300). In the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 1, the nozzle tip part having the nozzle hole (210) through which the drug is discharged and the drug receiving part (220) are formed integrally, but the present invention is not limited to this embodiment. Preferably, the nozzle tip and the drug receiving portion (220) may be configured as separate components that can be in fluid communication with each other and configured to be detachable from each other. In this case, by configuring the drug receiving portion (220) as a replaceable component and the nozzle tip as a permanent component, when the drug in the drug receiving portion (220) is completely exhausted, only the drug receiving portion (220) can be separated from the needleless syringe and replaced.

[0061] Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view showing the configuration of the nozzle portion of the needleless syringe of Fig. 2 and the connecting portion of the main body portion combined with the nozzle portion, and Fig. 4 is a drawing for explaining the state in which the nozzle portion and the connecting portion shown in Fig. 3 are connected.

[0062] As illustrated in Fig. 3, a cylindrical nozzle-side connection portion (230) is formed at the end portion of the main body (100) of the nozzle portion (200). In addition, a notch portion (231) protruding toward the main body (100) is formed at the end portion of the nozzle-side connection portion (230). An RFID (240) is provided on the inner side of the wall portion forming the connection portion (230) as an information portion that stores setting values for the operation of the needleless syringe as tag information. The RFID (240) is located at a predetermined position in the circumferential direction of the inner wall of the nozzle-side connection portion (230). The setting values for the operation of the needleless syringe include, for example, current values and voltage values applied to the solenoid coil (110) for driving the motion magnet (120), current pulse width, and the number of repeated injections per second. Furthermore, tag information may include not only the operating settings for the needleless syringe, but also identification information such as the serial number of the needleless syringe and information related to the drug contained in the nozzle unit (200). While the present invention discloses an RFID (240) as an example of an information unit, any configuration capable of recognizing the information contained therein through a predetermined sensor may be applied. For example, barcodes may also be included in the information unit of the present invention.

[0063] The connection part (300) is composed of an inner barrel part (324) configured to surround a piston (330) and an outer barrel part (320) configured to surround the inner barrel part (324). An insertion space (321) is formed between the inner barrel part (324) and the outer barrel part (320) into which the nozzle-side connection part (230) of the nozzle part (200) is inserted. In addition, an RFID sensor (322) is provided in the insertion space (321) as a sensor capable of recognizing an RFID (240) which is an information part provided in the nozzle part (200). Although the present invention discloses the RFID sensor (322) as a sensor, any configuration capable of recognizing information included in the information part may be applied. For example, a barcode sensor capable of recognizing a barcode, etc. may also be included in the sensor of the present invention. Like the RFID (240), the RFID sensor (322) is also located at a specific location in the circumferential direction of the insertion space (321).

[0064] Fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view showing a part of the main body of the needleless syringe shown in Fig. 2, and Fig. 6 is a photograph showing the structure of the main body shown in Fig. 5 when viewed along the longitudinal direction of the needleless syringe.

[0065] In the examples shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a notch hole (323) extending in the axial and circumferential directions of the connection part (300) is formed in the outer cylinder (320) of the connection part (300), and a notch portion (231) formed at the end of the nozzle-side connection part (230) is inserted into the notch hole (323). Accordingly, when a user inserts the nozzle part (200) into the main body part (100) through the connection part (300) so that the notch portion (231) is inserted into the axial groove portion of the notch hole (323), and then relatively rotates the nozzle part (200) and the main body part (100) along the circumferential groove portion of the notch hole (323) so that the notch portion (321) moves along the notch hole (323), the nozzle part (200) is fixed to the main body part (100).

[0066] And, as described above, the RFID (240) installed in the nozzle portion (200) and the RFID sensor (322) installed in the connection portion (300) are each installed at specific positions in the circumferential direction. Therefore, according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, when the RFID (240) installed in the nozzle portion (200) is at a predetermined relative position in the circumferential direction and axial direction of the main body portion (100) with respect to the main body portion (100), that is, when the notch portion (321) moves along the notch hole (323) and the nozzle portion (200) rotates to a predetermined position, the RFID sensor (322) can be set to recognize the tag information of the RFID (240). Accordingly, for example, a control unit (400) for controlling a solenoid coil (110) of a needleless syringe is provided, and the control unit (400) can determine whether the nozzle unit (200) is at a predetermined position with respect to the main body unit (100) by determining whether the tag information of the RFID sensor (322) is recognized. Through this, it is possible to automatically determine whether the nozzle unit (200) is mounted at the correct position. As described below, the control unit (400) automatically sets the setting values for the operation of the needleless syringe based on the tag information of the RFID (240) recognized by the RFID sensor (322).

[0067] In this embodiment, the control unit (400) has a processor such as a CPU (Central Processing Unit), and may preferably be a PCB or the like that constitutes a control circuit for controlling the needleless syringe. The control unit (400) executes a predetermined control program to perform various processing and control operations of the needleless syringe. The control program may be stored in a separate storage device, such as a memory, provided within the control unit (400).

[0068] FIG. 7 is a flowchart illustrating a method for setting parameters related to the operation of a needleless syringe using a needleless syringe according to the present invention.

[0069] Referring to Fig. 7, when the user first turns on the power of the needleless syringe (step S10), the control unit (400) of the needleless syringe activates all functions except the spraying action (step S20). Then, when the user connects the nozzle unit (200) to the main body unit (100) through the connection unit (300), the control unit (400) of the needleless syringe recognizes whether the nozzle unit (200) is connected to the main body unit (100) based on whether the tag of the RFID (240) is recognized by the RFID sensor (322) (step S30). If the nozzle unit (200) is not recognized as being connected to the main body unit (100), the control unit (400) transmits an error message indicating that the nozzle unit (200) is not connected, for example, through a display device such as an LCD or a voice transmission device such as a speaker provided in the needleless syringe (S130).

[0070] Meanwhile, when it is recognized that the nozzle unit (200) is connected to the main body unit (100), the connection of the nozzle unit (200) is recorded in a storage device, etc., provided on the PCB of the control unit (400), and the connection of the nozzle unit (200) is indicated through the display device or voice transmission device mentioned above (S40).

[0071] Next, the control unit (400) recognizes the RFID tag through the RFID sensor (322) and determines whether the tag information can be recognized normally (step S50). If it is determined that the RFID is damaged or that some of the information stored in the RFID (240) has been lost, the control unit (400) transmits an error message indicating that the tag information cannot be recognized normally through the display device or voice transmission device (step S140).

[0072] Next, the control unit (400) checks whether the serial number (S / N) of the needleless syringe stored in the recognized tag information is not the serial number of this equipment but the serial number of another equipment. If it is determined that the serial number (S / N) of the needleless syringe stored in the recognized tag information is the serial number of another equipment, the control unit (400) transmits an error message through a display device or a voice transmission device, etc., indicating that the nozzle unit (200) does not correspond to the nozzle unit (200) used in this equipment (step S150).

[0073] Next, the control unit (400) determines whether or not information related to the serial number of the needleless syringe is not recorded in the recognized tag information (step S70). If it is determined that information related to the serial number of the needleless syringe is not recorded in the recognized tag information, the control unit (400) stores the serial number of the device in the tag information of the RFID (240) through a device such as NFC (Near Field Communication) (not shown), while recording identification information of the inserted nozzle unit (200), etc., in a storage device mounted on the PCB of the main body unit (100) (S160).

[0074] Meanwhile, if it is determined that information related to the serial number of the device is recorded in the recognized tag information, the control unit (400) recognizes parameter information related to the operation of the needleless syringe stored in the tag information of the RFID (240), and automatically sets the setting values of each device for operating the needleless syringe (coil application voltage, current pulse width, number of repeated injections per second, etc.) based on the recognized parameter information (S80).

[0075] Meanwhile, the injection depth, injection amount, injection strength, etc. of the required drug need to be adjusted according to the patient's age, gender, target skin area, indication, etc. Therefore, when automatically setting the setting values of each device in step S80, the user can selectively input the patient's characteristic data to be injected with the drug using the needleless syringe. In this case, the needleless syringe is equipped with a separate input device (not shown), and the user can selectively input the patient's characteristic data related to the patient's age, gender, target skin area, and indication through the input device. When the patient's characteristic data is input through the input device, the control unit (400) changes or adjusts the corresponding equipment parameters (coil application voltage, current pulse width, number of repetitions per second) according to the input information to match the input patient's characteristic data, and automatically resets the adjusted parameters to the equipment's setting values. In the present embodiment, the input device has an input device including a mouse and a keyboard, and inputs the information received by the user by operating the input device into the control unit (400).

[0076] Next, the control unit (400) recognizes whether the user has operated a spray switch, such as a foot switch, etc. (S90), and if it is determined that the spray switch is turned on, the control unit (400) operates a solenoid coil (110), etc., to spray a drug in the form of a microjet from the nozzle unit (200) using the method described above (S100).

[0077] And, after one injection is performed, the control unit (400) updates the number of injections and records information about the updated number of injections in a storage device mounted on the PCB of the main body (100). And, the control unit (400) determines whether the updated number of injections is less than a predetermined number of injections (N) (S120). Here, the predetermined number of injections (N) means the number of injections at which the drug contained in the drug containing portion (220) in the nozzle portion (200) is completely consumed. Information about the number of injections is also stored in the tag information of the RFID (240) and can be automatically set by recognizing the tag of the RFID through the RFID sensor (322). If it is determined that the updated number of injections is less than the predetermined number of injections (N), it is determined whether the injection switch is turned on again. And, if it is determined that the updated number of injections is greater than or equal to the predetermined number of injections (N), the control unit (400) displays a message indicating the need for replacement of the nozzle unit (200) externally through the display device or voice transmission device described above (S170).

[0078] FIG. 8 is a drawing explaining a process of controlling a needleless syringe using parameters set according to the method according to FIG. 7, and FIG. 9 is a drawing explaining feedback control for operating a needleless syringe according to the present invention to obtain a target injection amount, etc.

[0079] According to the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 8, for example, an encoder (500) capable of detecting the real-time position of the piston (130) is provided on the inner wall facing the piston (130) of the main body (100), so that when the piston (130) advances and retreats, the position of the piston (130) per hour is detected, and the result detected by the encoder (500) is transmitted to the control unit (400). In addition, a blocker (410) capable of limiting the stroke distance of the piston (130) when the piston (130) advances is provided in front of the main body (100). The blocker (410) is integrally provided with a screw joint (430) that drives forward and backward according to the rotation of the drive shaft (420) of the stepper motor (440), so that the blocker advances or retreats a predetermined distance based on the rotation direction and rotation speed of the stepper motor (440).

[0080] Meanwhile, in the control unit (400), the target injection amount and injection speed of the drug in the form of a micro jet to be ejected from the nozzle unit (200), and the stroke distance and speed of the piston to satisfy the same are transmitted from the tag information of the RFID (240) and stored in advance as described above.

[0081] Accordingly, the control unit (400) performs the PID control illustrated in FIG. 9 based on information about the target injection amount and injection speed of the drug and the stroke distance and speed of the piston to satisfy them, information about the actual piston position per hour transmitted from the encoder (500) and the current position of the blocker (410) based on the rotation speed of the stepper motor (14). That is, after one piston advance, the stroke and speed of the piston at the time of the piston advance are calculated based on the information about the piston position per hour measured through the encoder (510) and the information about the current position of the blocker (410) measured through the rotation speed measuring sensor of the stepper motor (14), and the error between the calculated value and the target value of the piston stroke distance and speed is calculated, and then the amount of current applied to the solenoid coil (110) and the control signal value applied to the stepper motor (440) are calculated so that the error becomes 0. Then, the power source and the motor drive source are controlled so that the calculated amount of current and the control signal are applied. This allows the piston's movement to be controlled to achieve a target value. Through feedback control, which repeats this process, drug injection can be performed according to the target injection amount and injection rate.

[0082] Figure 10 illustrates graphs illustrating three different types of velocity profiles for changes in piston travel distance over time.

[0083] In the speed profile of the example shown in (a), the stroke distance (D) of the piston (130) increases constantly over time (T). That is, the piston (130) moves at a constant speed. In the example shown in (b), the stroke distance (D) of the piston (130) is constant over time (T). That is, the piston (130) is at rest. Next, in (c), the stroke distance (D) of the piston (130) increases constantly over time (T), and then, after a certain period of time, a speed profile is shown in which the piston stroke per hour rapidly increases. According to the present invention, it is possible to control the piston (130) to have various types of speed profiles as described above using the tag information of the RFID.
