AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing technologies for paddy fields are inefficient in controlling perennial weeds with buried tubers, as they either fail to effectively prevent germination or are cumbersome in flooded conditions, and incur high fuel costs or soil sieving issues.

Method used

A tuber processing apparatus with a digging section that follows the rotational trajectory of a rotary, a two-stage conveyor system, and a roller section, designed to separate mud from tubers and crush them efficiently, while minimizing mud conveyance and accommodating waterlogged conditions.

Benefits of technology

Facilitates rapid and highly efficient processing of tubers and snails by controlling mud conveyance, preventing sprouting and damage, and optimizing load distribution for tractor operation in narrow fields.

Abstract

Provided are a device for processing tubers or snails and a method for processing tubers or snails. The device for processing tubers or snails according to the present invention processes a tuber A or a snail associated with a perennial weed buried in the soil of a paddy field, and has: a digging part 10 for scooping up the tuber A or the snail together with the soil; a rotary member 13 having claw parts that rotate above the digging part 10; a conveyor part 20 for roughly separating, from the soil, the tuber A or the snail scooped up by the digging part 10; and a roller part 30 for crushing the tuber A or the snail conveyed from the conveyor part 20. By forming the digging part 10 into a curved surface shape along a rotation track of the rotary 13, the amount of mud conveyed to the conveyor part 20 can be controlled to facilitate separation of the tuber A or the snail from the mud, thereby allowing rapid and efficient processing of the tuber or the snail.
