Fermentation tank

Abstract

The fermentation tank is designed for fermenting grape must. The tank consists of a cylinder (1) with a top-mounted bottom (2), which features an inspection hatch with a cover (3).The cylinder also has a sloped bottom (4) and is made of stainless steel. There is a side access hatch (5) above the bottom. A temperature sensor (6) and a test valve are mounted on the wall of the cylinder (1). A pressure sensor (10) is mounted on the sloped bottom (4), and a radar sensor (9) is located on the upper bottom (2). A refractometer (7) is mounted on the cylinder wall. On the outside of the cylinder, there are thermocouples-an upper one (12) and a lower one (13)-enclosed by a common stainless steel casing (15). On the outside of the cylinder, there is a circulating pipe system (16) connecting the interior of the cylinder (1) above the sloped bottom (4) with the interior of the cylinder (1) below the upper bottom (2) via a pump (19) and a propeller-type irrigation device (24) located below the inspection hatch with a cover (3)
