A method, apparatus and system for storing data

Abstract

This application discloses a method, apparatus, and system for storing data, relating to the computer field. It reduces the storage cost of a distributed data service system while ensuring its availability. Specifically, a replication group is configured with persistent servers and temporary servers. The persistent servers are used for long-term data storage, and the temporary servers are used for temporary data storage. The replication group uses a replication protocol to write the same data to its constituent servers. Each persistent server in the replication group performs an update operation, updating its stored data that meets a first condition to the union of all stored data in the replication group that meet the first condition. Each temporary server in the replication group determines that its stored data that meets a second condition has been stored on a persistent server in the replication group, and then performs a deletion operation to delete the data that meets the second condition.
