[0058] When the driving circuit of the display device is directly arranged on the rear surface of the display panel, the inventor has recognized the problem that when the vibration of the vibration generating module is transmitted to the display panel, the desired sound is not transmitted to the display panel due to the driving circuit. In addition, when the vibration generating module is applied to an automobile display device with a relatively small size, the inventor has recognized the problem that the driving circuit is damaged by the vibration of the vibration generating module. Therefore, the inventor has conducted various experiments to reduce the damage to the driving circuit caused by the vibration generating module. Through various experiments, the inventor has invented a display device with a new structure, which prevents the driving circuit from being damaged by the vibration generating module, reduces the contact between the driving circuit and the display panel to reduce the vibration caused by the driving circuit, and enhances the sound of the vibration generating module.

[0097] The driving circuit 300 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a flexible circuit film 310, at least one data driving integrated circuit (IC) 320, and a printed circuit board (PCB) 330. For example, the driving circuit 300 may include a flexible circuit film 310, a plurality of data driving ICs 320, and a PCB 330.
[0098] The flexible circuit film 310 may be connected to a plurality of pad portions 217 provided at a first peripheral portion (or one peripheral portion) of the pixel array substrate 210 of the display panel 200. The plurality of pad portions 217 may be arranged at specific intervals in the first direction X. Therefore, the flexible circuit film 310 may be connected to the plurality of pad portions 217 arranged at specific intervals, and thus, may be arranged at specific intervals in the first direction X. For example, the flexible circuit film 310 may be provided in the pad portions 217 in the display panel 200 by a film attachment process using an anisotropic conductive film.
[0099] The flexible circuit film 310 may surround the rear surface of the display panel 200. The flexible circuit film 310 may be bent (or folded) from the pad portion 217 toward the rear surface of the display panel 200. For example, the other side of the flexible circuit film 310 may be disposed at the first rear peripheral portion (or first region) of the display panel 200. An intermediate portion (or bent portion) between one side and the other side of the flexible circuit film 310 may be bent (or folded) to surround one surface of the display panel 200.
[0100] The plurality of data driver ICs 320 may be mounted on the flexible circuit film 310, or may be mounted on the plurality of flexible circuit films 310. Each of the plurality of data driver ICs 320 may be mounted on the corresponding flexible circuit film 310 through a die bonding process or a surface mounting process. Each of the plurality of data driver ICs 320 may convert input digital pixel data into an analog data signal based on a data control signal provided from the outside, and may provide the analog data signal to the corresponding pixel.
[0101] The PCB 330 may be connected to the flexible circuit film 310. The PCB 330 may be electrically connected to the other side of the flexible circuit film 310 through a film attachment process using an anisotropic conductive film, and may be disposed on the first rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200 based on the bending of the flexible circuit film 310. The first rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200 may be an area of the rear surface of the display panel 200 where the flexible circuit film 310 and the PCB 330 are disposed. For example, the first rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200 may be a rear portion of the display panel 200. The PCB 330 may be between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the first support 600. The PCB 330 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be spaced apart from the rear surface of the display panel 200 or floated from the rear surface of the display panel 200, and thus may not directly contact the rear surface of the display panel 200. For example, the rear surface of the PCB 330 may be positioned so as not to contact the backplate 250 of the display panel 200.
[0102] For example, when the display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is applied to an automotive display device having a size relatively smaller than that of a display device for a large-screen television (TV), the size of the PCB 330 on the rear surface of the display panel 200 may correspond to approximately 20% to 30% of the size of the display panel 200, and the PCB 330 may be placed or disposed in a vibration region of the display panel 200 based on the vibration of the vibration generating module 700. Therefore, in a case where the PCB 330 is disposed so as to directly contact the rear surface of the display panel 200, when the vibration of the display panel 200 for the sound DVS is directly transmitted to the PCB 330, the PCB 330 may be damaged or detachment may occur between the PCB 330 and the flexible circuit film 310 due to the shaking vibration of the PCB 330, and the data driver IC 320 may be damaged due to the shaking vibration of the flexible circuit film 310 caused by the shaking vibration of the PCB 330. Therefore, in the display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the PCB 330 can be positioned between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the first support 600 so as not to directly contact the rear surface of the display panel 200. This can thereby prevent or minimize the transmission of vibration of the display panel 200 to the PCB 330, thereby preventing or minimizing damage to the PCB 330 caused by the vibration of the display panel 200, preventing or minimizing detachment between the flexible circuit film 310 and the PCB 330, and preventing or minimizing damage to the data driver IC 320.
[0103] The driving circuit 300 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a control board 340 , a signal transmitting member 350 , a timing control circuit 360 , and a user connector 370 .
[0104] The control board 340 may be provided on the rear surface of the first support 600 and may be connected to the PCB 330 via a signal transmission member 350. The control board 340 may be connected to a display host system (or a display driving system) via a user connector 370. The control board 340 may provide the timing control circuit 360 with a timing synchronization signal and video data, each provided from the display host system, and may provide digital pixel data output from the timing control circuit 360 to the data driver IC 320 via the signal transmission member 350, the PCB 330, and the flexible circuit film 310.
[0105] The control board 340 may further include a voltage generating circuit for generating various driving voltages required to drive the display device.
[0106] The timing control circuit 360 may be mounted on the control board 340 and may receive timing synchronization signals and video data respectively provided from the display host system through the user connector 370. For example, the timing synchronization signals may include a vertical synchronization signal, a horizontal synchronization signal, a data enable signal, and a main clock signal.
[0107] The timing control circuit 360 can generate a gate control signal for controlling the driving timing of the gate driving circuit and a data control signal for controlling the driving timing of each of the plurality of data driver ICs 320 based on the timing synchronization signal. For example, the gate control signal can include at least one gate start signal and a plurality of gate shift clocks. The data control signal can include a source start signal, a source shift clock, and a source output enable signal.
[0108] The timing control circuit 360 may be mounted on the front surface of the PCB 330 instead of the control board 340. In addition, the voltage generating circuit may be mounted on the front surface of the PCB 330 instead of the control board 340. In this case, the control board 340 may be omitted.
[0109] The driving circuit 300 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a touch driving circuit connected to the touch electrode layer of the display panel 200 .
[0110] The touch driving circuit may sense a user touch through each of a plurality of touch electrodes provided on the touch electrode layer to generate touch raw data, and may transmit coordinate information about the user touch to a display host system based on the generated touch raw data.
[0111] The display host system may include a mainboard, various circuits mounted on the mainboard, various storage media, peripheral devices, a keyboard, and a power supply. The various circuits mounted on the mainboard may include a central control circuit for processing various information, an image processing circuit for processing data under the control of the central control circuit, and a sound processing circuit for processing sound under the control of the central control circuit. The display host system may process various information, generate timing synchronization signals and video data, and provide the timing synchronization signals and video data to the control board 340, and may generate drive signals including sound signals or tactile feedback signals and provide the drive signals to the control board 340. For example, the sound signal may be synchronized with the video data, or may not be synchronized with the video data.
[0112] The display host system can execute an application associated with the touch coordinates corresponding to the coordinate information about the user's touch provided by the touch drive circuit, or can execute a user interface based on the user's touch drawing. In addition, the display host system can generate a drive signal including a tactile feedback signal corresponding to the coordinate information about the user's touch provided by the touch drive circuit.
[0113] The second support 400 may be disposed (or connected) between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the driving circuit 300. The second support 400 may be disposed (or connected) between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the PCB 330 of the driving circuit 300. The second support 400 may support the PCB 330 to separate the PCB 330 from the rear surface of the display panel 200. For example, the PCB 330 may be supported by the second support 400 and may be disposed between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the first support 600.
[0114] The first surface (or front surface) of the second support 400 may be disposed (or connected) on the rear surface of the display panel 200, and the second surface (or rear surface) of the second support 400 opposite to the first surface (or front surface) may be disposed (or connected) on the rear surface of the PCB 330. For example, the first surface (or front surface) of the second support 400 may be disposed (or connected) on the back plate 250, which is the rearmost surface of the display panel 200. Therefore, the PCB 330 may be supported by the second support 400 and may be disposed (or connected) on the rear surface of the display panel 200 using the second support 400.
[0115] The second support member 400 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a vibration absorbing material or an elastic material that can be compressed to a certain extent, which blocks or minimizes the transmission of vibration of the display panel 200 to the PCB 330. For example, the second support member 400 may include a double-sided tape or a double-sided foam tape each including a vibration absorbing layer (or elastic layer), but is not limited thereto.
[0116] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the second support member 400 may include a double-sided conductive tape or a double-sided conductive foam tape. In this case, the PCB 330 may include a ground pattern exposed at its rear surface. For example, the second surface (or rear surface) of the second support member 400 may be electrically connected to the ground pattern exposed at the rear surface of the PCB 330, and the back plate 250 of the display panel 200 may be electrically connected to the ground pattern exposed at the rear surface of the PCB 330. Therefore, the back plate 250 of the display panel 200 can perform the heat dissipation function of the display panel 200 and the function of grounding the ground pattern of the PCB 330.
[0117] The support frame 500 may be on the rear surface of the front member 100. For example, the support frame 500 may surround the side surface of the display panel 200 or the side surface of the driving circuit 300. For example, the support frame 500 may surround the side surface of the display panel 200 and the side surface of the driving circuit 300. The support frame 500 may accommodate the driving circuit 300 of the display panel 200. The support frame 500 may have the same shape as that of the front member 100. The support frame 500 may be on the outermost surface of the display device and may be directly exposed to the outside of the display device. For example, the support frame 500 may be an "outermost frame", "outermost mold material", "outermost mechanism", "guide frame", "guide panel", "edge frame" or "molding frame", but the term is not limited thereto.
[0118] The support frame 500 may support the first support 600 and may provide an air gap AG between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the first support 600 , or may provide a receiving space or a storage space of the display panel 200 .
[0119] The support frame 500 may be provided at a rear peripheral portion of the front member 100 through a first connection member (or a first coupling member) 501 .
[0120] The first connecting member 501 can be arranged (or connected) between the rear peripheral portion of the front member 100 and the support frame 500, and therefore, the support frame 500 can be arranged on the rear surface of the front member 100 (or connected to the rear surface of the front member 100). The first connecting member 501 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include an adhesive resin, a double-sided tape with an adhesive layer, or a double-sided foam pad with an adhesive layer, but is not limited thereto. In the first connecting member 501 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the adhesive resin or adhesive layer may include an acrylic or urethane-based adhesive material, but is not limited thereto. For example, in the first connecting member 501 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the adhesive resin or adhesive layer may include a urethane-based adhesive material having relatively ductile properties, unlike an acrylic-based adhesive material having relatively high hardness properties, to prevent the transmission of the vibration of the front member 100 to the support frame 500 or minimize the transmission of the vibration of the front member 100 to the support frame 500.
[0121] The support frame 500 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a frame portion 510 and a frame side portion 530 .
[0122] The frame portion 510 may be provided on the rear surface of the front member 100. For example, the frame portion 510 may include an opening 515 provided at the rear peripheral portion of the front member 100 so as to overlap with the display panel 200. The frame portion 510 may be provided at the rear peripheral portion of the front member 100. For example, the frame portion 510 may have the same shape as the front member 100, but is not limited thereto. For example, the frame portion 510 may have the same polygonal shape as the front member 100 or a non-polygonal shape.
[0123] The opening 515 of the frame portion 510 may be defined by the inner surface of the frame portion 510. The opening 515 of the frame portion 510 may accommodate the display panel 200. The opening 515 of the frame portion 510 may have the same shape as that of the display panel 200 and may have a size larger than that of the display panel 200. The opening 515 of the frame portion 510 may have the same polygonal shape as that of the display panel 200 or a non-polygonal shape.
[0124] The frame side portion 530 may be provided at the inner periphery of the frame portion 510. For example, the frame side portion 530 may be vertically provided at the inner periphery of the frame portion 510 or protrude from the inner periphery of the frame portion 510. The opening 515 may also be provided in the frame side portion 530. For example, the frame portion 510 and the frame side portion 530 may each have a cross-sectional structure having a “┐┌” shape. The frame side portion 530 may surround the side surface of the display panel 200 and / or the driving circuit 300 of the display panel 200.
[0125] like Figure 4 As shown in , the support frame 500 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a plurality of connection portions 550 arranged at intervals on the outer side wall of the frame side portion 530. Each of the plurality of connection portions 550 may be a structure for placing the first support member 600 in the support frame 500 (or connecting to the support frame 500) and may protrude from the outer side wall of the frame side portion 530. For example, each of the plurality of connection portions 550 may include a hole. For example, the hole may be a screw hole, but is not limited thereto.
[0126] Reference Figures 2 to 5 , the first support member 600 may be on the rear surface of the display panel 200. For example, the first support member 600 may be supported by the outer periphery of the support frame 500 and may cover (or overlie) the rear surface of the display panel 200. The first support member 600 may support or accommodate (or store) the vibration generating module 700. The first support member 600 may have the same shape as that of the display panel 200 and may be supported by the support frame 500.
[0127] The first support member 600 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may serve as a support member for supporting the vibration generating module 700, and therefore, may include a metal material or a metal alloy material. For example, the first support member 600 may include one of Al, Al alloy, Mg alloy, iron-nickel (Fe-Ni) alloy, and stainless steel or an alloy thereof, or may have a knot structure, but is not limited thereto. For example, the first support member 600 may have a thickness of 0.5 mm or greater, but is not limited thereto. The first support member 600 may be a "support member", "back cover", "back cover" or "back member", but the term is not limited thereto.
[0128] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the first support member 600 may have a thickness of 0.5 mm or less to reduce the weight of the display device. In this case, because the first support member 600 is relatively thin compared to the front member 100 and has relatively low rigidity, the vibration of the vibration generating module 700 may cause the first support member 600 to twist. As a result, the vibration of the vibration generating module 700 may not be properly transmitted to the front member 100. When the first support member 600 lacks sufficient rigidity, the inventors have recognized that the first support member 600 absorbs some of the energy of the vibration generating module 700. For example, because the first support member 600 absorbs the energy of the vibration generating module 700, insufficient vibration equivalent to the energy absorbed by the first support member 600 may be transmitted to the display panel 200. Therefore, due to the insufficient vibration of the vibration generating module 700, the display panel 200 may have difficulty outputting sufficient sound. For this reason, when the energy or vibration of the vibration generating module 700 is lost, the inventors have recognized that the display panel 200 may have difficulty outputting the desired sound. Therefore, the inventors have conducted various experiments to increase or strengthen the rigidity of the first support member 600. Another structure can be provided in the first support member 600 to increase the rigidity of the first support member 600, but in this case, there may be a problem of thickening the display device. Through various experiments, the inventors provided a forming portion (or a receiving portion or a rigidity reinforcing structure) in the first support member 600 for increasing or strengthening the rigidity of the first support member 600 without increasing the thickness of the display device. In addition, the display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include at least one reinforcing portion for strengthening the rigidity of the first support member 600. For example, the at least one reinforcing portion may further include a reinforcing rod or a rigidity reinforcing structure. This will be described below.
[0129] The first support 600 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a first plate 610 , a side portion 620 , and a forming portion 630 .
[0130] The first plate 610 (or support plate) may be disposed on the rear surface of the display panel 200. For example, the first plate 610 may be disposed to face the rear surface (or backside) of the display panel 200 and may cover (or overlie) the rear surface of the display panel 200. The first plate 610 may be disposed at the frame side portion 530 of the support frame 500 (or supported by the frame side portion 530 of the support frame 500) via a plurality of first connecting members 613. Each of the first connecting members 613 may be a screw or a bolt, but is not limited thereto.
[0131] Each of the plurality of first connecting members 613 can pass through a corresponding hole 611 of the plurality of holes 611 along the outer periphery of the first plate 610 and can be disposed at a corresponding connection portion 550 of the plurality of connection portions 550 disposed at the frame side portion 530 of the support frame 500 (or connected to a corresponding connection portion 550 of the plurality of connection portions 550 disposed at the frame side portion 530 of the support frame 500), thereby placing the first plate 610 at the support frame 500 (or connected to the support frame 500). The first plate 610 can be disposed at the frame side portion 530 of the support frame 500 (or connected to the frame side portion 530 of the support frame 500) or supported by the frame side portion 530 of the support frame 500 using the plurality of first connecting members 613. Therefore, the first plate 610 and the support frame 500 can each include a four-surface support structure, and thus, the four surfaces (or upper, lower, left, and right surfaces) of each of the front member 100, the support frame 500, and the first support 600 can have the same rigidity. Therefore, since each of the first plate 610 and the first support member 600 has a four-surface support structure in which all four surfaces (or upper, lower, left, and right sides) are supported by the support frame 500, the four surfaces (or upper, lower, left, and right peripheral portions) of each of the front member 100, the support frame 500, and the first support member 600 can have the same rigidity. Therefore, the main vibration mode of the display panel 200 can be set near the vibration generating module 700, and the vibration area of the vibration generating module 700 can match the maximum displacement position of the display panel 200, thereby enhancing the vibration efficiency of the vibration generating module 700 and enhancing the sound pressure level, quality, and reproduction band of the sound generated by the vibration of the display panel 200.
[0132] The side portion 620 (or support side portion) may be bent from the outer periphery of the first plate 610. The side portion 620 may increase the rigidity of the first support member 600 and may provide an accommodation (or storage) space on the first plate 610 for accommodating the frame side portion 530 of the support frame 500.
[0133] The side portion 620 may be on the rear surface of the support frame 500. For example, the side portion 620 may be provided at the rear peripheral portion of the support frame 500 using a second connection member (or second coupling member) 621. For example, the side portion 620 may be provided at the frame portion 510 of the support frame 500 or connected to the frame portion 510 of the support frame 500 through the second connection member 621.
[0134] The second connecting member 621 may be between the side portion 620 and the frame portion 510 of the support frame 500, and the side portion 620 may be placed at the frame portion 510 of the support frame 500 to be connected or coupled to the frame portion 510 of the support frame 500. The second connecting member 621 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include, but is not limited to, an adhesive resin, a double-sided tape having an adhesive layer, or a double-sided foam pad having an adhesive layer. The adhesive resin or adhesive layer of the second connecting member 621 according to an embodiment may include, but is not limited to, an acrylic-based or urethane-based adhesive material. For example, the adhesive resin or adhesive layer of the second connecting member 621 may include a urethane-based adhesive material having relatively ductile properties, unlike an acrylic-based adhesive material having relatively high hardness properties. Therefore, the urethane-based adhesive material can prevent the transmission of vibration based on the vibration of the vibration generating module 700 from the first support member 600 to the support frame 500 or minimize the transmission of vibration based on the vibration of the vibration generating module 700 from the first support member 600 to the support frame 500, but the embodiments of the present disclosure are not limited thereto.
[0135] The forming portion 630 may be provided on the first plate 610 (or connected to the first plate 610). The forming portion 630 may support the vibration generating module 700. The forming portion 630 may be provided (or connected) to be recessed or protruding from the first plate 610. The forming portion 630 may increase or strengthen the rigidity of the first support 600. For example, the forming portion 630 may be provided to be recessed from the first plate 610 to reduce the increase in the thickness (or height) of the display device caused by the thickness (or height) of the vibration generating module 700 or to minimize the increase in the thickness (or height) of the display device caused by the thickness (or height) of the vibration generating module 700, and to thin the display device. However, the shape is not limited thereto.
[0136] The forming portion 630 may be concavely disposed (or connected) to have a quadrilateral shape from the front surface of the first plate 610 facing the rear surface of the display panel 200. The forming portion 630 may protrude from the first plate 610 in a rearward direction opposite to the forward direction toward the rear surface of the display panel 200, and therefore, may be concavely disposed on the first plate 610 (or connected to the first plate 610). However, embodiments of the present disclosure are not limited thereto. The forming portion 630 may be a "first forming portion," a "groove portion," a "concave portion," a "protruding portion," an engraved portion, an accommodating portion, or a "rigidity reinforcing portion."
[0137] The forming portion 630 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a bottom surface 631 facing the rear surface of the display panel 200 and an inclined surface 633 between the first plate 610 and the bottom surface 631. The inclined surface 633 may provide an accommodation space (or a supporting space) on the bottom surface 631 and may increase or strengthen the rigidity of the first support 600 and the rigidity of the first plate 610.
[0138] The first support 600 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a hole 640 in the formed portion 630. The hole 640 may be provided in the formed portion 630 to have a size and shape each capable of embedding or accommodating a portion of the rear surface of the vibration generating module 700 therein.
[0139] The hole 640 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a first hole 641 in a first region of the forming portion 630 and a second hole 643 in parallel with the first hole 641 in a second region of the forming portion 630 .
[0140] The first hole 641 may be provided to pass through a first area of the forming portion 630 overlapping with the first rear area A1 of the display panel 200. For example, the first rear area A1 of the display panel 200 may be a region (or left region) of the display panel 200 with respect to a center line (or horizontal length center line) CL of the display panel 200 parallel to the first direction X.
[0141] The second hole 643 may be provided through a second area of the forming portion 630 overlapping the second rear area A2 of the display panel 200. For example, the second rear area A2 of the display panel 200 may be another area (or right area) of the display panel 200 with respect to the center line CL of the display panel 200.
[0142] like Figure 2 and Figure 3 As shown in , the first hole 641 and the second hole 643 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may each have a circular shape, but are not limited thereto. For example, the first hole 641 and the second hole 643 may each have an elliptical shape or a polygonal shape, or may have a shape capable of embedding or accommodating a portion of the rear surface of the vibration generating module 700 therein.
[0143] The first support 600 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a cable hole 650 and a wire hole 660 in the formed portion 630 .
[0144] The cable hole 650 may be between the first hole 641 and the second hole 643 in the shaped portion 630. The cable hole 650 may have a size and shape that enables the signal transmitting member 350 to pass through the cable hole 650 to electrically connect the PCB 330 to the control board 340. A portion of the signal transmitting member 350 may be connected to the PCB 330 between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the first support 600, and another portion of the signal transmitting member 350 may pass through the cable hole 650, be unloaded to the rear surface of the first support 600, and be connected to the control board 340.
[0145] The wire hole 660 may be formed in the bottom surface 631 of the forming portion 630 adjacent to the hole 640. The wire hole 660 may have a size and shape that each enables the drive signal cable of the vibration generating module 700 disposed between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the first support member 600 to be unloaded to the outside through the wire hole 660. The wire hole 660 according to an embodiment may include a first wire hole 661 in the bottom surface 631 of the forming portion 630 adjacent to the first hole 641 and a second wire hole 663 in the bottom surface 631 of the forming portion 630 adjacent to the second hole 643.
[0146] The first support 600 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a second forming portion 670 .
[0147] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the second forming portion 670 may be provided on the first plate 610. For example, the second forming portion 670 may protrude from the center portion of the first plate 610, excluding the outer portion, toward the rear surface of the display panel 200. The second forming portion 670 may protrude with an inclined surface extending from the center portion of the first plate 610, excluding the outer portion, toward the rear surface of the display panel 200, thereby reinforcing the rigidity of the first plate 610. The second forming portion 670 may support the forming portion 630 (or the first forming portion 630). Therefore, the forming portion 630 may be arranged (or connected) to be recessed from the second forming portion 670. For example, the second forming portion 670 may be referred to as an "auxiliary forming portion," "groove portion," "recessed portion," "protruding portion," "engraved portion," "accommodating portion," "storage portion," or "rigidity reinforcing portion," but these terms are not limited thereto. Therefore, the rigidity of the first support 600 may be increased due to the dual reinforcement structure comprising the forming portion 630 and the second forming portion 670.
[0148] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the second forming portion 670 may protrude from the central portion of the first plate 610 excluding the peripheral portion in a direction toward the rear surface (or back surface) of the first support 600, opposite to the direction toward the rear surface of the display panel 200, thereby reinforcing the rigidity of the first plate 610. The forming portion 630 may be concavely or convexly provided at the second forming portion 670.
[0149] The first support 600 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a plurality of support portions 680. The plurality of support portions 680 may each be a "support pin," "bracket," or "support portion," but the term is not limited thereto.
[0150] A plurality of support portions 680 may be provided on the rear surface of the first plate 610. For example, each of the plurality of support portions 680 may be provided along a rear peripheral portion of the first plate 610. Each of the plurality of support portions 680 may be provided at a support or a separate structure that supports the display device. Thus, a display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may use a plurality of support portions 680 to be supported by or provided at a support or a separate structure.
[0151] Reference Figures 2 to 5 , the vibration generating module 700 may be provided (or connected) between the first support member 600 and the display panel 200. The vibration generating module 700 may be supported by the first support member 600 and may vibrate the display panel 200. The vibration generating module 700 may vibrate based on a driving signal including a sound signal or a tactile feedback signal to directly vibrate the display panel 200, and thus, may output a sound DVS based on the vibration of the display panel 200 or may generate tactile feedback (or tactile vibration) in response to a user's touch.
[0152] The vibration generating module 700 may be implemented as a sound generating device including a coil (or voice coil) and a magnet. The vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment may include a bobbin and a coil wound around the bobbin, and the bobbin may contact the rear surface of the display panel 200.
[0153] The vibration generating module 700 may include one sound generator or a plurality of sound generators 710 and 730. The sound generators 710 and 730 may be disposed in the shaped portion 630 in the first support 600 or accommodated (or stored) in the shaped portion 630 in the first support 600 and may vibrate the display panel 200. For example, the sound generators 710 and 730 may each include a bobbin and a coil wound around the bobbin, and the bobbin may contact the rear surface of the display panel 200.
[0154] The vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a first sound generator 710 for vibrating the first rear surface of the display panel 200 and a second sound generator 730 for vibrating the second rear surface of the display panel 200 .
[0155] The first sound generator 710 may be supported by the shaped portion 630 in the first support 600 or accommodated (or stored) in the shaped portion 630 in the first support 600, and may be on the first rear surface of the display panel 200. The first sound generator 710 may vibrate based on a first drive signal including a sound signal or a tactile feedback signal to directly vibrate the first rear surface of the display panel 200, and thus, may generate a sound DVS based on the vibration of the display panel 200 or may generate tactile feedback (or tactile vibration) in response to a user's touch. For example, a portion of the rear surface of the first sound generator 710 may be embedded in or accommodated in the first hole 641 in the first region of the shaped portion 630, thereby reducing the thickness of the display device.
[0156] The second sound generator 730 may be supported by the shaped portion 630 provided in the first support 600 or accommodated (or stored) in the second region of the shaped portion 630 provided in the first support 600, and may be on the second rear surface of the display panel 200. The second sound generator 730 may vibrate according to a second drive signal including a sound signal or a tactile feedback signal to directly vibrate the second rear surface of the display panel 200, and thus, may generate a sound DVS through the vibration of the display panel 200, or may generate tactile feedback (or tactile vibration) in response to a user's touch. For example, a portion of the rear surface of the second sound generator 730 may be embedded in or accommodated (or stored) in the second hole 643 in the second region of the shaped portion 630, thereby reducing the thickness of the display device.
[0157] The first drive signal and the second drive signal may be the same or different. For example, the first drive signal may include a left sound signal or a first tactile feedback signal corresponding to the first area (or left area) A1 of the display panel 200. The second drive signal may include a right sound signal or a second tactile feedback signal corresponding to the second area (or right area) A2 of the display panel 200.
[0158] Each of the first sound generator 710 and the second sound generator 730 may be provided at the first support 600 and may be symmetrical about the center line (or horizontal length center line) CL of the display panel 200, and may include substantially the same structure as each other. The first sound generator 710 and the second sound generator 730 may be a "vibration unit," "actuator," "stimulator," or "transducer," but the term is not limited thereto.
[0159] Therefore, the display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may output sound to the front region FD in front of the display panel 200 using the display panel 200 as a vibration plate for generating sound DVS, thereby improving sound quality and increasing the viewer's immersive experience.
[0160] In a display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the PCB 330 connected to the display panel 200 may be between the display panel 200 and the first support member 600 and may be spaced apart from the rear surface of the display panel 200, thereby preventing damage to the PCB 330 caused by vibration of the display panel 200 or minimizing damage to the PCB 330 caused by vibration of the display panel 200.
[0161] In addition, the display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may have a four-surface support structure in which all four surfaces (upper, lower, left, and right) of each of the front member 100 and the first support member 600 are supported by the support frame 500, the main vibration mode generated by the vibration of the vibration generating module 700 may be set near the vibration generating module 700, and the vibration area of the vibration generating module 700 may match the maximum displacement position of the display panel 200, thereby enhancing the vibration efficiency of the vibration generating module 700 to enhance the sound pressure level, quality, and reproduction band of the sound generated by the vibration of the display panel 200. For example, the display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may output a sound of 100 Hz to 20 kHz at a sound pressure level of 65 dB or higher based on the vibration of the display panel 200, and, for example, may output a sound of 150 Hz to 20 kHz at a sound pressure level of 75 dB or higher.
[0162] Figure 6 yes Figure 4 1 is an enlarged view of a portion 'A' shown in FIG. 1 and is a diagram for describing the first sound generator 710 of the vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0163] Reference Figure 4 and Figure 6 , the first sound generator 710 of the vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be configured to vibrate the display panel 200 using a current of a driving signal including a sound signal or a tactile feedback signal, each of which is applied to the first sound generator 710 based on Fleming's left-hand rule of motors.
[0164] The first sound generator 710 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a base plate 711 , a magnet 712 , a center rod 713 , a bobbin 714 , a coil 715 , an edge plate 716 , a damper 717 , and a terminal portion 718 .
[0165] The base plate 711 may be provided at the first support member 600 and may be the main body of the first sound generator 710. The base plate 711 may support the magnet 712, the center rod 713, and the edge plate 716. The base plate 711 may include a metallic material having magnetism, such as iron (Fe). The base plate 711 may be a "lower plate," a "base frame," or a "yoke," but the term is not limited thereto.
[0166] The base plate 711 may include a groove portion accommodating the magnet 712 and the bobbin 714. For example, the groove portion may be concavely provided from the upper surface of the base plate 711 to have a circular shape, but the shape is not limited thereto.
[0167] The base plate 711 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be on the bottom surface of the forming portion 630 of the first support 600 using a fixing member such as an adhesive or a double-sided tape.
[0168] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, a portion of the rear surface of the base plate 711 may be embedded in or accommodated in the first hole 641 in the formed portion 630 of the first support 600. In this case, the base plate 711 according to another embodiment of the present disclosure may include a rear protruding portion 711a that is embedded in the first hole 641 provided in the formed portion 630 of the first support 600. The rear protruding portion 711a may protrude from the base plate 711 toward the first support 600 to include a groove portion for accommodating the magnet 712 and the bobbin 714, and may protrude to the outside of the rear surface of the rear cover 600 through the first hole 641 in the formed portion 630 of the rear cover 600 or may be exposed to the outside of the rear surface of the rear cover 600 through the first hole 641 in the formed portion 630 of the rear cover 600. Therefore, the heat generated by the driving (or vibration) of the first sound generator 710 can be dissipated through the rear surface of the base plate 711 based on air cooling, and the rear surface of the base plate 711 protrudes to the outside of the rear surface of the rear cover 600 through the first hole 641 or is exposed to the outside of the rear surface of the rear cover 600.
[0169] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the base plate 711 may be provided at the formed portion 630 of the first support 600 using a plurality of second connection members 701 passing through the bottom surface of the formed portion 630 of the first support 600. The plurality of second connection members 701 may be respectively in a plurality of holes passing through the bottom surface of the formed portion 630 in the corner portions of the base plate 711, and thus, the first sound generator 710 may be provided at the formed portion 630 of the first support 600.
[0170] The magnet 712 , the center rod 713 , the bobbin 714 , and the coil 715 may each be a magnetic circuit unit or a magnetic vibration unit on the base plate 711 to vibrate the display panel 200 .
[0171] The magnetic circuit unit according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may have an external magnetic structure or a dynamic structure including a magnet 712 arranged outward from the coil 715, or may have an internal magnetic structure or a microstructure including a magnet 712 arranged inward from the coil 715. The first sound generator 710 including the magnetic circuit unit having the internal magnetic structure may have a small size as a whole and low leakage magnetic flux. The first sound generator 710 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may have an external magnetic structure or an internal magnetic structure. Hereinafter, an example in which the first sound generator 710 has an internal magnetic structure will be described.
[0172] The magnet 712 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be inserted into the groove portion of the base plate 711. The magnet 712 may be a permanent magnet having a cylindrical shape capable of being inserted into the bobbin 714. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the magnet 712 may be implemented with a sintered magnet such as barium ferrite, and the material of the magnet 712 may include Fe2O3, BaCO3, neodymium magnet, strontium ferrite (Fe2O3) with an improved magnet composition, and the like. 12 O 19 The neodymium magnet may be one or more of an alloy cast magnet including Sr, Al, nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co). For example, the neodymium magnet may be neodymium iron boron (Nd-Fe-B).
[0173] The bobbin 714 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be located on the base plate 711 to surround the magnet 712. The bobbin 714 may have a circular shape or an elliptical shape, but is not limited thereto. The elliptical shape may have an elliptical shape, a rectangular shape with rounded corners, or a non-circular curved shape with a width different from its height, but the embodiment is not limited thereto. For example, in the bobbin 714 having an elliptical shape, the ratio of the major axis diameter to the minor axis diameter may be set to 1.3:1 to 2:1. The bobbin 714 having an elliptical shape may improve the sound of the high vocal cords more than a circular shape, and may reduce the generation of heat caused by vibration, and therefore, may have excellent heat dissipation characteristics.
[0174] The coil 715 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can be wound around the outer peripheral surface of the bobbin 714 and can be provided with an electric current (or voice current) of a drive signal from the outside. The coil 715 can be lowered or raised together with the bobbin 714. The coil 715 can be a "voice coil", but the term is not limited to this. When an electric current is applied to the coil 715, the entire portion of the bobbin 714 can vibrate upward and downward based on the applied magnetic field generated around the coil 715 and the external magnetic field generated around the magnet 712 according to Fleming's left-hand rule of the motor, and sound DVS or sound waves can be generated by the vibration of the display panel 200 caused by the vertical movement (or vibration) of the bobbin 714.
[0175] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, when coil 715 is wound around the outer circumferential surface of bobbin 714, heat generated in coil 715 can be transferred to bobbin 714. Coil 715 can also be made of a material with relatively good heat dissipation properties to reduce image quality defects affecting display panel 200 due to the heat from bobbin 714. Furthermore, because bobbin 714 vibrates upward and downward, horizontal vibration may occur due to the vertical vibration, and the horizontal vibration of bobbin 714 may be affected by the weight of bobbin 714. The weight of bobbin 714 may be affected by the weight of coil 715, and therefore, when the weight of coil 715 is reduced, the horizontal vibration of bobbin 714 may be reduced. Therefore, considering the heat transferred to bobbin 714 and the horizontal vibration of bobbin 714, coil 715 can have relatively good heat dissipation properties because its thermal conductivity is superior to that of copper, a material used for conventional coils, and can be made of aluminum material, which has relatively good heat dissipation properties and is relatively lightweight compared to copper.
[0176] In addition, in aluminum, since oxides are formed in the air, welding may not be easy when manufacturing the first sound generator 710. Therefore, the coil 715 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include an Al layer (or a first metal layer) for heat dissipation and a metal covering layer (or a second metal layer) surrounding the Al layer. The metal covering layer may include one of Cu, Ag, and gold (Au). For example, the coil 715 may be a copper-clad aluminum wire covered with copper. The metal covering layer may be formed as a thin film type outside the first metal layer, and therefore, may not greatly affect the increase in the weight of the coil 715. The weight of the coil 715 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can be reduced by about 60% compared to a coil including only Cu or Cu wire.
[0177] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the bobbin 714 may include a structure including a material obtained by processing pulp or paper, Al or Mg or an alloy thereof, or a synthetic resin such as polyimide. For example, the bobbin 714 may be implemented using a polyimide film having relatively good heat dissipation characteristics and being relatively lightweight to prevent local image quality defects of the display panel 200 caused by heat generated by the coil 715.
[0178] The polyimide film may have physical properties that do not change over a wide temperature range of -273°C to 400°C, and may have heat resistance, electrical insulation, flexibility, and non-uniformity. Furthermore, because the polyimide film has good thermal and mechanical rigidity, it may enhance the reliability of the bobbin 714 and, due to its excellent heat dissipation properties, reduce heat generation caused by vibration of the bobbin 714. For example, the polyimide film may be KAPTON, which may be a condensation of 1,2,4,5-pyromellitic dianhydride and 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl ether, but is not limited thereto.
[0179] The center rod 713 may be accommodated in or inserted into the spool 714 and may guide the raising or lowering of the spool 714. For example, since the center rod 713 is inserted into the spool 714, the outer peripheral surface of the center rod 713 is surrounded by the spool 714. The center rod 713 may be a "height guide" or a "rod member," but the term is not limited thereto.
[0180] The edge plate 716 may be provided at the front peripheral portion of the base plate 711 and may support the damper 717. The edge plate 716 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be provided at the front peripheral portion of the base plate 711 to have a certain height and a shape identical to that of the bobbin 714. According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the edge plate 716 may include a hollow portion provided at the front peripheral portion of the base plate 711 to have a certain height and a shape identical to that of the bobbin 714.
[0181] The damper 717 may be located between the edge plate 716 and the magnetic circuit unit. For example, the damper 717 may be located between the edge plate 716 and the spool 714. The damper 717 may be a "tripod," "suspension," or "edge," but the term is not limited thereto.
[0182] A portion of the damper 717 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be connected to the edge plate 716, and another portion of the damper 717 may be connected to the upper outer surface of the spool 714. The damper 717 may have a pleated structure between one portion and another portion thereof, and may contract and relax based on the vertical movement of the spool 714 to control the vibration of the spool 714. The damper 717 may be connected between the spool 714 and the edge plate 716 and may limit the vibration distance of the spool 714 with a restoring force. For example, when the spool 714 vibrates a certain distance or more or a certain distance or less, the spool 714 may be restored to its original position by the restoring force of the damper 717.
[0183] Because the first sound generator 710 is located between the display panel 200 and the first support 600, the first sound generator 710 can have a relatively thin thickness to reduce the thickness of the display device or make the display device thinner. Thus, when the height (or thickness) of the bobbin 714 is reduced, the sound pressure level may be reduced. Therefore, in order to solve the problem of reduced sound pressure level due to the reduction in the height of the bobbin 714, the first sound generator 710 can be configured with a structure in which the area of the damper 717 provided near the bobbin 714 is wide. When the area of the damper 717 is increased, the space for providing the wire for applying current to the coil 715 can be narrowed, thereby causing interference between the wire and the damper 717. Therefore, the damper 717 can be formed by a conductor and can therefore perform the function of a wire.
[0184] The damper 717 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a metal material electrically connected to the coil 715. For example, the damper 717 may be formed of stainless steel or Cu, but is not limited thereto.
[0185] The terminal portion 718 may include a pair of terminals on a portion of the base plate 711 and electrically connected to the damper 717. The terminal portion 718 may overlap with the first wire hole 661 in the formed portion 630 of the first support 600 and may be exposed at the outer side of the rear surface of the first support 600. The pair of terminals in the terminal portion 718 may be electrically connected to a driving signal cable passing through the first wire hole 661, and a driving signal may be provided from the display host system through the driving signal cable.
[0186] The first sound generator 710 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a bobbin protection member 719 .
[0187] The bobbin protection member 719 may be provided on (connected to) the front surface (or front end portion) of the bobbin 714 and may transmit the raising and lowering motion (or vibration) of the bobbin 714 to the rear surface of the display panel 200. The bobbin protection member 719 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may have a ring shape on the front surface of the bobbin 714, a disc shape covering the entire front surface of the bobbin 714, or a notch shape surrounding the front surface and upper outer surface of the bobbin 714, but the shape is not limited thereto. For example, the bobbin protection member 719 may be a "bobbin ring", but the term is not limited thereto.
[0188] The bobbin protection member 719 may be provided on (or coupled to) the rear surface of the display panel 200 using a first adhesive member. The first adhesive member may be located between the back plate 250 of the display panel 200 and the bobbin protection member 719. The adhesive member according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include an adhesive or a double-sided tape, but is not limited thereto.
[0189] The second sound generator 730 of the vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be provided at the first support 600 and may be symmetrical with the first sound generator 710 with respect to the center line (or horizontal length center line) CL of the display panel 200. The second sound generator 730 may include a structure substantially the same as that of the first sound generator 710, and therefore, a repeated description thereof is omitted.
[0190] Figure 7 yes Figure 4 'A' is another enlarged view of the portion 'A' shown in FIG and shows an example in which the blocking member is disposed between the display panel and the vibration generating module. Hereinafter, descriptions of the same elements except the blocking member and related elements will be briefly given or omitted.
[0191] Reference Figure 7 The display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a blocking member 720 provided between the display panel 200 and the vibration generating module 700. The first sound generator 710 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a blocking member 720.
[0192] The blocking or shielding member 720 (or heat blocking member or heat insulating member) can block or minimize the transfer of heat generated in the first sound generator 710 due to the driving (or vibration) of the first sound generator 710 to the display panel 200. Thus, it is possible to prevent or minimize a local temperature increase of the display panel 200 caused by the heat generated in the first sound generator 710, thereby preventing image quality defects of the display panel 200 caused by a rapid temperature difference in a local area of the display panel 200 overlapping with the first sound generator 710. For example, heat generated in the coil 715 of the first sound generator 710, etc., may not be transferred to the display panel 200 by the blocking member 720, and may be diffused and dissipated through the first support 600 and the heat dissipation member 130 via the base plate 711, or may be dissipated to the first support 600 based on air cooling through the rear surface (or backside) of the base plate 711. The blocking member 720 may be configured to have a size that is the same as or similar to that of the first sound generator 710, but is not limited thereto. For example, the blocking member 720 may be configured to have a size that is the same as or similar to that of the pixel array substrate 210 .
[0193] For example, the blocking member 720 may be a film or plate type, each of which includes one of polyethylene, polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), polyethylene oxide (PEO), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), polyvinyl acetate (PVAc), polylactic acid (PLA), polyamide (PA), polyester (PE), and polypropylene (PP), but is not limited thereto. As another example, the blocking member 720 may be a film or plate type, each of which includes one of rubber, silicon, fiber-reinforced plastic, and a composite resin including fiber-reinforced plastic, but is not limited thereto. For example, the fiber-reinforced plastic may include one of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, glass fiber-reinforced plastic, and graphite fiber-reinforced plastic, or a combination thereof, but is not limited thereto.
[0194] The blocking member 720 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be located between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the bobbin 714 of the first sound generator 710, and in this case, the bobbin protection member 719 may be omitted. For example, the blocking member 720 may be located on the bobbin 714 of the first sound generator 710 and may be provided on the back plate 250 of the display panel 200 or connected (or coupled) to the back plate 250 of the display panel 200 by an adhesive member.
[0195] According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the blocking member 720 may be located between the back plate 250 of the display panel 200 and the bobbin protection member 719 of the first sound generator 710. For example, the blocking member 720 may be provided on (or connected to) the front surface of the bobbin protection member 719 and may be provided on the back plate 250 of the display panel 200 or connected (or coupled) to the back plate 250 of the display panel 200 by an adhesive member.
[0196] The blocking member 720 may be located between the display panel 200 and the second sound generator 730 of the vibration generating module 700. For example, the blocking member 720 may be located between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the bobbin 714 of the second sound generator 730, and in this case, the bobbin protection member 719 of the second sound generator 730 may be omitted. As another example, the blocking member 720 may be located between the back plate 250 of the display panel 200 and the bobbin protection member 719 of the second sound generator 730.
[0197] The display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a blocking member 720 between the display panel 200 and the vibration generating module 700, and thus, a local temperature increase of the display panel 200 caused by heat generated in the vibration generating module 700 may be prevented or minimized, thereby preventing image quality defects of the display panel 200 caused by a rapid temperature difference in a local area of the display panel 200 overlapping with the vibration generating module 700.
[0198] Figure 8 yes Figure 4 Another enlarged view of the portion 'A' shown in FIG and showing an example in which the arrangement or connection (or coupling) structure between the vibration generating module and the first support is modified. Hereinafter, descriptions of the same elements other than the arrangement or connection (or coupling) structure between the vibration generating module and the first support will be briefly given or omitted.
[0199] Reference Figure 8 , the first sound generator 710 of the vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can be set at the forming portion 630 of the first support 600 using a plurality of second connecting members 701, supported by the forming portion 630 of the first support 600 or connected (or coupled) to the forming portion 630 of the first support 600.
[0200] Each of the plurality of second connection members 701 can be connected to the inner surface of the first support member 600 or disposed on the inner surface of the first support member 600 through the vibration generating module 700, and thus, the vibration generating module 700 can be supported by the first support member 600 or connected (or coupled) to the first support member 600. For example, each of the plurality of second connection members 701 can be disposed on the bottom surface of the forming portion 630 or connected to the bottom surface of the forming portion 630 through the outer periphery of the base plate 711 of the first sound generator 710 using an internal connection method. Therefore, the first sound generator 710 can be supported by the bottom surface of the forming portion 630 or connected (or coupled) to the bottom surface of the forming portion 630.
[0201] The first support 600 may further include a plurality of boss portions 635 on the bottom surface of the first forming portion 630. Each of the plurality of boss portions 635 may include a hole that protrudes from the bottom surface of the forming portion 630 overlapping the peripheral portion of the base plate 711 and is connected to a corresponding second connection member 701 of the plurality of second connection members 701. For example, each of the plurality of boss portions 635 may be inserted into or accommodated in a corresponding boss groove of a plurality of boss grooves provided at the peripheral portion of the base plate 711 of the first sound generator 710.
[0202] Similar to the first sound generator 710, the second sound generator 730 of the vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can be set on the bottom surface of the forming part using an internal connection method using a connecting member, supported by the bottom surface of the forming part or connected (or coupled) to the bottom surface of the forming part.
[0203] The vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can be connected (or coupled) to the first support member 600 according to an internal connection method using multiple second connection members 701 to increase the supporting force or coupling force between the vibration generating module 700 and the first support member 600, and when the vibration generating module 700 is being driven (or vibrating), it is possible to prevent noise caused by undesirable vibration between the vibration generating module 700 and the first support member 600. In addition, because each of the multiple second connection members 701 for supporting the vibration generating module 700 or coupling the vibration generating module 700 to the first support member 600 is not exposed to the rear surface (or back side) of the first support member 600, the display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can have a clean back structure, thereby enhancing the aesthetics of the design. In addition, in the display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the thickness of the vibration generating module 700 can be reduced, and therefore, the vibration generating module 700 can be disposed between the display panel 200 and the first support member 600, thereby reducing the thickness of the display device. In addition, since the vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is disposed between the display panel 200 and the first support 600, the rear surface of the first support 600 may not need to be provided with a hole for the vibration generating module 700, thereby enhancing the degree of freedom based on the size or model of the display device.
[0204] Figure 9 yes Figure 4 Another enlarged view of the portion 'A' shown in FIG and showing an example in which the arrangement or connection (or coupling) structure between the vibration generating module and the first support is modified. Hereinafter, descriptions of the same elements other than the arrangement or connection (or coupling) structure between the vibration generating module and the first support will be briefly given or omitted.
[0205] Reference Figure 9 , the first sound generator 710 of the vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can be set at the forming portion 630 of the first support member 600 using a bidirectional connection method, supported by the forming portion 630 of the first support member 600 or coupled to the forming portion 630 of the first support member 600.
[0206] The display device according to the embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a plurality of coupling members 703 fastened (connected) to each of the plurality of second connection members 701 .
[0207] Each of the plurality of coupling members 703 may pass through the outer periphery of the base plate 711 of the first sound generator 710 and may be provided at a corresponding second connection member 701 of the plurality of second connection members 701 or connected (or coupled) to a corresponding second connection member 701 of the plurality of second connection members 701. For example, each of the plurality of coupling members 703 may be inserted into or accommodated in a corresponding second hole 711b of the plurality of second holes 711b provided in the outer periphery of the base plate 711 of the first sound generator 710. Each of the plurality of coupling members 703 according to an embodiment may be a nut or a self-tightening (e.g., ) nuts, each nut including a head that is larger than the diameter of the second hole 711b, but is not limited thereto.
[0208] Each of the plurality of second connection members 701 can pass through the bottom surface of the forming portion 630 of the first support 600 and can be connected or coupled to a corresponding coupling member 703 among the plurality of coupling members 703. Therefore, the first sound generator 710 can be supported by or coupled to the bottom surface of the forming portion 630. Therefore, the first sound generator 710 can be provided on the bottom surface of the forming portion 630 by a two-way connection manner using the second connection members 701 and the coupling members 703, and can be supported by or connected (or coupled) to the bottom surface of the forming portion 630.
[0209] The first support 600 may further include a hole 642 provided in the bottom surface of the forming portion 630. The hole 642 may include a thread connected or fastened to the second connection member 701 or may have a hole type, but is not limited thereto.
[0210] Similar to the first sound generator 710, the second sound generator 730 of the vibration generating module 700 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can be set on the bottom surface of the forming part according to a bidirectional connection method using multiple second connecting members 701 and multiple coupling members 703, and supported by the bottom surface of the forming part or connected (or coupled) to the bottom surface of the forming part.
[0211] In the display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, since the vibration generating module 700 and the first support member 600 are connected or coupled to each other according to a bidirectional connection method using the second connecting member 701 and the coupling member 703, the supporting force or coupling force between the vibration generating module 700 and the first support member 600 can be increased, and when the vibration generating module 700 is being driven (or vibrating), noise caused by unwanted vibration between the vibration generating module 700 and the first support member 600 can be prevented.
[0212] Figure 10 is an exploded view illustrating a display device according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. Figure 11 Shown are all set in Figure 10 The support frame and holder in the rear surface of the display panel shown in FIG. Figure 12 It is along Figure 11 sectional view taken along line III-III' shown in FIG. Figures 10 to 12 Shown Figures 1 to 9 An example in which the second support member of the display device shown in FIG is modified. Hereinafter, descriptions of the same elements except the second support member and related elements will be briefly given or omitted.
[0213] Reference Figures 10 to 12 In a display device according to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the second support 400 may include a holder 410 provided at the support frame 500 to support the PCB 330 of the driving circuit 300 .
[0214] The holder 410 may separate the PCB 330 from the rear surface of the display panel 200 to prevent vibration of the display panel 200 from being transmitted to the PCB 330. The PCB 330 may be disposed (or connected) at the holder 410. The first support 600 may protect the PCB 330.
[0215] The holder 410 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a second plate 411 and a pair of bridge portions 413 .
[0216] The second plate 411 (or holder plate) may be located between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the PCB 330. The second plate 411 may be spaced a certain distance from the rear surface of the display panel 200. For example, the second plate 411 may have a size wider than the PCB 330.
[0217] The second plate 411 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be disposed on the rear surface of the PCB 330 through the second adhesive member 430 .
[0218] The second adhesive member 430 may be disposed (or connected) between the PCB 330 and the rear surface of the second plate 411 facing the first support 600. The second adhesive member 430 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a vibration absorbing material or an elastic material that can be compressed to a certain extent, which blocks or minimizes the transmission of vibrations of the display panel 200 to the PCB 330. For example, the second adhesive member 430 may include a double-sided tape or a double-sided foam tape, each including a vibration absorbing layer (or an elastic layer), but is not limited thereto.
[0219] The pair of bridging portions 413 can be bent from both sides of the second plate 411 and connected to the support frame 500, thereby supporting the second plate 411. For example, the pair of bridging portions 413 can be bent from both ends or both sides of the second plate 411 and connected to the support frame 500, thereby supporting the second plate 411. The pair of bridging portions 413 can be provided at the frame side portion 530 of the support frame 500 using a plurality of third connecting members 415. Each of the third connecting members 415 can be a screw or a bolt, but is not limited thereto. Therefore, the second plate 411 can be supported by the pair of bridging portions 413 connected to or provided at the support frame 500, and can therefore be spaced a certain distance from the rear surface of the display panel 200.
[0220] The second support 400 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a buffer member 450 .
[0221] The buffer member 450 may be disposed (or connected) between the second plate 411 and the rear surface of the display panel 200. When the display panel 200 is vibrating, the buffer member 450 may prevent physical contact between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the PCB 330 and may block or minimize transmission of vibration of the display panel 200 to the PCB 330.
[0222] The buffer member 450 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the first support 600. For example, the buffer member 450 may be provided in parallel with two peripheral portions of the second plate 411 that are parallel to the longitudinal direction X of the second plate 411. The buffer member 450 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a vibration absorbing material or an elastic material that can be compressed to a certain extent, which blocks or minimizes the transmission of vibrations of the display panel 200 to the PCB 330. For example, the buffer member 450 may include a double-sided tape or a double-sided foam tape, each including a vibration absorbing layer (or an elastic layer), but is not limited thereto.
[0223] Figure 13 A display device according to another embodiment of the present disclosure is shown. Figure 14 It is along Figure 13 sectional view taken along line IV-IV' shown in FIG. Figure 13 and Figure 14 Shows the addition of a balancing member to Figures 1 to 12 An example of a display device shown in . Figure 13 Shown from Figure 2 The rear surface of the display panel with the first support and the vibration generating module removed from the display device shown in FIG. Hereinafter, descriptions of the same elements except the balancing member and related elements will be briefly given or omitted.
[0224] Reference Figure 13 and Figure 14 In a display device according to another embodiment of the present disclosure, a balancing member 800 may be provided on (or connected to) the rear surface of the display panel 200. For example, the balancing member 800 may be provided in a third region of the rear area of the display panel 200, excluding the second region overlapping with the vibration generating module 700, and in a first region overlapping with the PCB 330 of the driving circuit 300. The balancing member 800 can evenly balance the vibration generated by the vibration of the vibration generating module 700 between the first and third regions of the display panel 200. For example, the balancing member 800 can prevent or minimize vibration deviation between the first region of the rear surface of the display panel 200 where the PCB 330 is provided and the third region where the PCB 330 is not provided.
[0225] For example, the PCB 330 (or the first PCB or the main PCB) may have a mass and thus may function as a mass on the first region of the display panel 200. Therefore, when the display panel 200 is vibrating, a vibration deviation or a maximum vibration displacement deviation may occur in the first region where the PCB 330 is located and the third region where the PCB 330 is not located. Therefore, the balancing member 800 may function as a mass on the third region where the PCB 330 is not located, and thus, may adjust the vibration balance between the first region where the PCB 330 is located and the third region where the PCB 330 is not located, thereby improving the vibration efficiency of the vibration generating module 700.
[0226] The balancing member 800 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a second PCB 810 and a third adhesive member 830 .
[0227] The second PCB 810 may be located on the rear surface of the display panel 200. For example, the second PCB 810 may be located in a third region of the rear area of the display panel 200, excluding the second region overlapping with the vibration generating module 700 and the first region overlapping with the PCB 330 of the driving circuit 300. The second PCB 810 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include the same material as that of the PCB 330 and may have a size larger than that of the PCB 330. For example, the second PCB 810 may be another PCB, a dummy PCB, or an auxiliary PCB, but the term is not limited thereto.
[0228] The second PCB 810 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include: a main board portion 811 disposed at a second rear peripheral portion parallel to the first rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200; a first board extension portion 813 extending from a central portion of the main board portion 811 to the first rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200; a second board extension portion 815 extending from one peripheral portion of the main board portion 811 to a first peripheral side portion of the display panel 200; and a third board extension portion 817 extending from the other peripheral portion of the main board portion 811 to the first rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200. For example, the second PCB 810 may have a “└┴┘” shape, which faces the first rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200 from the second rear peripheral portion.
[0229] The first plate extension portion 813 and the second plate extension portion 815 can be parallel to each other, with a setting area for the first sound generator 710 of the vibration generating module 700 between the first plate extension portion 813 and the second plate extension portion 815, and the first plate extension portion 813 and the third plate extension portion 817 can be parallel to each other, with a setting area for the second sound generator 730 of the vibration generating module 700 between the first plate extension portion 813 and the third plate extension portion 817.
[0230] The third adhesive member 830 may be disposed (or connected) between the rear surface of the display panel 200 and the second PCB 810. For example, the second PCB 810 may be disposed (or coupled to) the rear surface of the display panel 200 using the third adhesive member 830.
[0231] The third adhesive member 830 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a vibration absorbing material or an elastic material that can be compressed to a certain extent for preventing or minimizing noise generated by vibration of the second PCB 810 caused by the vibration of the display panel 200. For example, the third adhesive member 830 may include a material for blocking or minimizing the transmission of vibration of the display panel 200 to the PCB 330. For example, the third adhesive member 830 may include a double-sided tape or a double-sided foam tape, each including a vibration absorbing layer (or an elastic layer), but is not limited thereto.
[0232] Therefore, a display device according to another embodiment of the present disclosure may have Figures 1 to 12 The balancing member 800 can achieve vibration balance of the display panel 200, thereby improving the vibration efficiency of the vibration generating module 700 and increasing the reproduction band and sound pressure level of the sound generated by the vibration of the display panel 200.
[0233] As another example, Figure 11 and Figure 12 As shown in , the balance member 800 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be applied to a display device according to another embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0234] Figure 15 A display device according to another embodiment of the present disclosure is shown. Figure 16 It is along Figure 15 A cross-sectional view taken along line VV' shown in FIG. Figure 15 and Figure 16 Shows the settings Figures 1 to 14 An example in which the configuration of the vibration generating module in the display device shown in is modified. Hereinafter, a description of the same elements except the vibration generating module and related elements will be briefly given or omitted.
[0235] Reference Figure 15 and Figure 16 , in the display device according to another embodiment of the present disclosure, the vibration generating module 700 may include a first sound generator 710 , a second sound generator 730 , a third sound generator 750 , and a fourth sound generator 770 .
[0236] The first sound generator 710 and the second sound generator 730 may be substantially the same as the first sound generator 710 and the second sound generator 730 of the above-described display device. Hereinafter, therefore, the same reference numerals denote the same elements, and a repeated description thereof will be omitted or briefly given.
[0237] Each of the first sound generator 710 and the second sound generator 730 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can vibrate the display panel 200 to output the sound of the first sound band. The sound of the first sound band according to an embodiment can be output from the center portion of the display panel 200 to the front area relative to the display panel 200. The sound of the first sound band can have a frequency of the bass sound band. For example, the bass sound band can be less than 200 Hz, but is not limited thereto and can be less than 3 kHz.
[0238] The third sound generator 750 can vibrate the third rear surface of the display panel 200 to output the sound of the second sound cord higher than the sound of the first sound cord. The fourth sound generator 770 can vibrate the fourth rear surface of the display panel 200 to output the sound of the second sound cord. For example, the third rear surface of the display panel 200 can include a third rear peripheral portion, a left peripheral portion, or one peripheral portion. The fourth rear surface of the display panel 200 can include a fourth rear peripheral portion, a right peripheral portion, or another peripheral portion.
[0239] The sound of the second vocal cord according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can be output from the peripheral portion of the display panel 200 to the front area. The sound of the second vocal cord can have a frequency of a mid-high pitch vocal cord or a high pitch vocal cord. For example, the mid-range vocal cord can be 200Hz to 3kHz, but is not limited thereto, and can be 3kHz to 5kHz. The high pitch vocal cord can be 3kHz or higher, but is not limited thereto, and can be 5kHz or higher.
[0240] The third sound generator 750 can output the first sound (or left sound) together with the first sound generator 710, and the fourth sound generator 770 can output the second sound (or right sound) together with the second sound generator 730. The third sound generator 750 and the fourth sound generator 770 can supplement or enhance the sound (e.g., the sound of the high-pitched vocal cords) of each of the first sound generator 710 and the second sound generator 730. In addition, each of the first sound generator 710, the second sound generator 730, the third sound generator 750, and the fourth sound generator 770 can output multi-channel stereo or stereo sound.
[0241] The third sound generator 750 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a first piezoelectric device 751 disposed at a third rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200 .
[0242] The first piezoelectric device 751 may include a piezoelectric material layer having a piezoelectric effect.
[0243] The piezoelectric material layer may include a piezoelectric material that vibrates with an electric field. Here, the piezoelectric material may have the following characteristics: when pressure is applied to the crystal structure or distortion is generated in the crystal structure due to an external force, a potential difference is caused by dielectric polarization based on a change in the relative positions of positive (+) ions and negative (-) ions, and vibration occurs due to an electric field based on an applied voltage.
[0244] The piezoelectric material layer according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a piezoelectric material containing a polymer material, a piezoelectric material containing a thin film material, a piezoelectric material containing a composite material, or a piezoelectric material containing a single crystal ceramic or a polycrystalline ceramic. Examples of piezoelectric materials containing polymer materials may include polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polyvinylidene fluoride trifluoroethylene P(VDF-TrFe) and P(VDFTeFE). Examples of piezoelectric materials containing thin film materials may include ZnO, CdS and AlN. Examples of piezoelectric materials containing composite materials may include PZT-PVDF, PZT silicone rubber, PZT epoxy resin, PZT foam polymer and PZT foam polyurethane. Examples of piezoelectric materials containing single crystal ceramics may include α-AlPO4, α-SiO2, LiNbO3, Tb2(MoO4)3, Li2B4O7 and ZnO. Examples of piezoelectric materials containing polycrystalline ceramics may include PZT-based materials, PT-based materials, PZT composite perovskite-based materials and BaTiO3.
[0245] As another example, the first piezoelectric device 751 may include a plurality of first portions and a plurality of second portions, each second portion being disposed between two adjacent first portions of the plurality of first portions. Each of the plurality of first portions may be formed from a ceramic-based material for generating relatively high vibrations, or may be formed from a piezoelectric ceramic having a perovskite-based crystal structure. The perovskite crystal structure may have both a piezoelectric effect and an inverse piezoelectric effect, and may be an oriented plate-like structure. As another example, the inorganic material portion disposed in each of the plurality of first portions may include one or more of lead (Pb), zirconium (Zr), titanium (Ti), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), and niobium (Nb), but is not limited thereto. As another example, the inorganic material portion disposed in each of the plurality of first portions may include a lead zirconate titanate (PZT)-based material having lead (Pb), zirconium (Zr), and titanium (Ti), or may include a lead zirconate nickel niobate (PZNN)-based material having lead (Pb), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), and niobium (Nb), but is not limited thereto. In addition, the inorganic material portion may include at least one of CaTiO 3 , BaTiO 3 , and SrTiO 3 , each of which does not include Pb, but is not limited thereto.
[0246] The organic material portion provided in each of the plurality of second portions may include an organic material or an organic polymer, each of which has flexibility compared to the inorganic material portion of each of the first portions. For example, each of the plurality of second portions may include an organic material, an organic polymer, an organic piezoelectric material, or an organic non-piezoelectric material. For example, each of the plurality of second portions may be an adhesive portion, an elastic portion, a bending portion, a damping portion, or a flexible portion, but is not limited thereto.
[0247] The organic material portion according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include at least one of an organic piezoelectric material and an organic non-piezoelectric material. The organic material portion including the organic piezoelectric material can absorb the impact applied to the inorganic material portion (or the first portion), and therefore, the overall durability of the first piezoelectric device 751 can be enhanced and can provide piezoelectric characteristics corresponding to a certain level or higher. The organic piezoelectric material according to the embodiment may be an organic material having an electroactive material. For example, the organic piezoelectric material may include at least one of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), β-polyvinylidene fluoride (β-PVDF), and polyvinylidene fluoride trifluoroethylene (PVDF-TrFE), but is not limited thereto. The organic material portion including the organic non-piezoelectric material may include a curable resin composition and an adhesive having the curable resin composition, and therefore, the impact applied to the inorganic material portion (or the first portion) can be absorbed, thereby enhancing the overall durability of the first piezoelectric device 751. The organic non-piezoelectric material according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include at least one of an epoxy polymer, an acryl polymer, and a silicon-based polymer, but is not limited thereto. Therefore, the sound generator can be configured with a plurality of first parts and a plurality of second parts, each second part being arranged between two adjacent first parts of the plurality of first parts, thereby providing a vibration generating module for enhancing piezoelectric characteristics, stiffness, and flexibility. Therefore, a vibration generating module having enhanced piezoelectric characteristics, stiffness, and flexibility of a sound generator can be configured, and therefore, can be applied to a flexible display device (e.g., an automotive display device). For example, the flexible display device can be a foldable display device, a bendable display device, a wearable display device, and a rollable display device, but is not limited thereto.
[0248] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, an electrode may be located on each of the upper and lower surfaces of the first piezoelectric device 751. The electrode may include one or more of carbon (C), palladium (Pd), iron (Fe), tin (Sn), aluminum (Al), nickel (Ni), platinum (Pt), gold (Au), silver (Ag), copper (Cu), titanium (Ti), and molybdenum (Mo), or alloys thereof, but is not limited thereto. For example, the electrode may include indium tin oxide (ITO), indium zinc oxide (IZO), or a Mo-Ti alloy, but is not limited thereto.
[0249] The first piezoelectric device 751 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be disposed on (or connected to) the third rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200 through a third connection member 753 (or a third coupling member). The third connection member 753 may be a double-sided tape or a naturally curable adhesive, but is not limited thereto.
[0250] The third sound generator 750 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may further include a first protective member 755 provided on the rear surface of the first piezoelectric device 751. For example, the first protective member 755 may be located on the rear surface of the electrode on the rear surface of the first piezoelectric device 751. As another example, the first protective member 755 may be on each of the upper and lower surfaces (or rear surfaces) of the first piezoelectric device 751.
[0251] The first protective member 755 may have a size wider than the first piezoelectric device 751 and may be on the rear surface of the first piezoelectric device 751. The first protective member 755 may prevent the first piezoelectric device 751 from being damaged by electrical shocks such as static electricity and / or physical shocks. The first protective member 755 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a cross-sectional insulating tape or an insulating cross-sectional foam tape, each of which has an adhesive layer on the rear surface of the first piezoelectric device 751. For example, the first protective member may be a polyimide (PI) film, a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) insulating tape, or a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulating tape, but is not limited thereto.
[0252] The fourth sound generator 770 may include a second piezoelectric device 771 disposed on (or connected to) the fourth rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200 via a fourth connection member 773. In addition, the fourth sound generator 770 may further include a second protective member 775 disposed on (or connected to) the rear surface of the second piezoelectric device 771. Except that the second piezoelectric device 771 is disposed on (or connected to) the fourth rear peripheral portion of the display panel 200 via the fourth connection member 773, the fourth sound generator 770 having such a configuration may be substantially the same as the third sound generator 750, and therefore, a repeated description thereof will be omitted.
[0253] Therefore, a display device according to another embodiment of the present disclosure may have Figures 1 to 9 . In addition, the display device according to the embodiment of the present disclosure can output the sound of the first vocal cord based on the vibration of the display panel 200, which is in response to the vibration of each of the first sound generator 710 and the second sound generator 730 based on the coil type with relatively good low sound output characteristics. In addition, the display device can output the sound of the second vocal cord to the front area in front of the display panel 200 based on the vibration of the display panel 200, which is in response to the vibration of each of the third sound generator 750 and the fourth sound generator 770 based on the piezoelectric type with relatively good high sound output characteristics, thereby outputting sound with a wide vocal cord and outputting stereo sound or outputting multi-channel stereo sound.
[0254] As another example, the third sound generator 750 and the fourth sound generator 770 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be identically applied to Figures 10 to 12 In addition, the third sound generator 750 and the fourth sound generator 770 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure can be applied to the same Figure 13 and Figure 14 , and the balance member may be provided in an area of the rear area of the display panel 200 excluding where the third sound generator 750 and the fourth sound generator 770 are provided.
[0255] Figure 17 A vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is shown and a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is shown. Figures 1 to 16 The example in which the display device of the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 is applied to a vehicle.
[0256] Reference Figure 17 , a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include a dashboard DB, an instrument panel module IPM, and an infotainment module ITM.
[0257] The instrument panel DB may include a first area DA facing a driver's seat, a second area PA facing a passenger seat, and a third area MA between the first area DA and the second area PA.
[0258] The instrument panel module IPM may include a first display DIS1 provided in a first area DA of the instrument cluster DB. The instrument panel module IPM may be an "instrument panel module" or an "instrument cluster", but the term is not limited thereto.
[0259] The first display DIS1 may provide the driver with various information such as vehicle status information and driving-related information such as driving time, speed, fuel amount, and revolutions per minute (RPM) of the vehicle.
[0260] The first display DIS1 may include Figures 1 to 16 , and therefore, a repeated description thereof is omitted. Therefore, the first display DIS1 can display an image corresponding to the vehicle driving information provided from the vehicle host system on the display panel. In addition, the first display DIS1 can output sound generated by the vibration of the display panel to the driver's seat in response to the vibration of the vibration generating module based on the sound driving signal provided from the vehicle host system.
[0261] The infotainment module ITM (or infotainment system) may include a second display DIS2 provided in a third area MA (or center instrument panel) of the instrument panel DB.

In addition, the second display DIS2 can provide the driver or passenger with sounds corresponding to sound signals provided by the audio system and / or the multimedia system.
[0263] The second display DIS2 may include Figures 1 to 16 , and therefore, its repeated description is omitted.
