Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001]
[0011] Generally speaking, aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and techniques and apparatus for controlling interleaving or cyclic shifting of sets of resources. Background Art
[0002] Wireless communication systems are widely deployed to provide a variety of telecommunication services, such as telephone, video, data, messaging, and broadcasting. Typical wireless communication systems may employ multiple access technologies that can support communication with multiple users by sharing available system resources (e.g., bandwidth, transmit power, etc.). Examples of such multiple access technologies include code division multiple access (CDMA) systems, time division multiple access (TDMA) systems, frequency division multiple access (FDMA) systems, orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) systems, single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) systems, time division synchronous code division multiple access (TD-SCDMA) systems, and long term evolution (LTE). LTE / LTE-Advanced is a set of enhancements to the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) mobile standard promulgated by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).
[0003] A wireless communication network may include multiple base stations (BS) that can support communications for multiple user equipment (UE). User equipment (UE) can communicate with a base station (BS) via a downlink and an uplink. A downlink (or forward link) refers to a communication link from a BS to a UE, while an uplink (or reverse link) refers to a communication link from a UE to a BS. As will be described in more detail herein, a BS may be referred to as a Node B, gNB, access point (AP), radio head, transmit receive point (TRP), new wireless (NR) BS, 5G Node B, and the like.
[0004] The above-mentioned multiple access technologies have been adopted in various telecommunication standards to provide a common protocol that enables different user equipment to communicate at a city, country, region, or even global level. New Radio (NR) (which may also be referred to as 5G) is an enhancement set of the LTE mobile standard promulgated by the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). NR is designed to better support mobile broadband Internet access by improving spectrum efficiency, reducing costs, improving services, and utilizing new spectrum, and using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) (CP-OFDM) with a cyclic prefix (CP) on the downlink (DL), using CP-OFDM and / or SC-FDM (e.g., also known as discrete Fourier transform spread OFDM (DFT-s-OFDM)) on the uplink (UL), and supporting beamforming, multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna technology, and carrier aggregation to better integrate with other open standards. However, as the demand for mobile broadband access continues to increase, there is a need to further improve LTE and NR technologies. Preferably, these improvements should be applicable to other multiple access technologies and telecommunication standards that adopt these technologies. Summary of the invention

On the contrary, these aspects are provided so that the present disclosure will be thorough and complete, and the scope of the present disclosure is fully conveyed to those skilled in the art. Based on the teachings herein, those skilled in the art should be aware that the scope of the present disclosure is intended to cover any aspect of the present disclosure disclosed herein, whether the aspect is implemented independently or in combination with any other aspect of the present disclosure. For example, any number of aspects set forth herein can be used to implement a device or practice a method. In addition, the scope of the present disclosure is intended to cover a device or method, which is practiced using other structures, functions, or structures and functions other than or different from the various aspects of the disclosure set forth herein. It should be understood that any aspect of the disclosure disclosed herein can be embodied by one or more elements of the claims.
[0036] Several aspects of telecommunication systems will now be presented with reference to various devices and techniques. These devices and techniques will be described in the following detailed description and illustrated in the accompanying drawings by various blocks, modules, components, circuits, steps, processes, algorithms, etc. (collectively referred to as "elements"). These elements may be implemented using hardware, software, or a combination thereof. Whether these elements are implemented as hardware or software depends on the specific application and the design constraints imposed on the overall system.
[0037] It should be noted that although various aspects may be described herein using terms typically associated with 3G and / or 4G wireless technologies, various aspects of the present disclosure may be applied to communication systems based on other generations, such as 5G and beyond, including NR technologies.
[0038] Figure 1 1 is a diagram showing a wireless network 100 in which various aspects of the present disclosure may be practiced. The wireless network 100 may be an LTE network or some other wireless network, such as a 5G or NR network. The wireless network 100 may include a plurality of BSs 110 (shown as BSs 110a, BSs 110b, BSs 110c, and BSs 110d) and other network entities. A BS is an entity that communicates with a user equipment (UE) and may also be referred to as a base station, NR BS, Node B, gNB, 5G Node B (NB), access point, transmit receive point (TRP), and the like. Each BS may provide communication coverage for a particular geographic area. In 3GPP, the term "cell" may refer to a coverage area of a BS and / or a BS subsystem (wherein the BS and / or BS subsystem serves the coverage area), depending on the context in which the term "cell" is used.
[0039] A BS may provide communication coverage for a macro cell, a pico cell, a femto cell, and / or another type of cell. A macro cell may cover a relatively large geographic area (e.g., a radius of several kilometers) and may allow unrestricted access by UEs with service subscription. A pico cell may cover a relatively small geographic area and may allow unrestricted access by UEs with service subscription. A femto cell may cover a relatively small geographic area (e.g., a home) and may allow restricted access by UEs associated with the femto cell (e.g., UEs in a closed subscriber group (CSG)). A BS for a macro cell may be referred to as a macro BS. A BS for a pico cell may be referred to as a pico BS. A BS for a femto cell may be referred to as a femto BS or a home BS. In Figure 1 In the example shown in , BS 110a may be a macro BS for macro cell 102a, BS 110b may be a pico BS for pico cell 102b, and BS 110c may be a femto BS for femto cell 102c. A BS may support one or more (e.g., three) cells. The terms "eNB", "base station", "NR BS", "gNB", "TRP", "AP", "Node B", "5G NB", and "cell" may be used interchangeably herein.
[0040] In some aspects, the cells may not necessarily be fixed, and the geographic area of the cells may move depending on the location of the mobile BS. In some aspects, the BSs may be interconnected to each other and / or to one or more other BSs or network nodes (not shown) in the wireless network 100 via various types of backhaul interfaces (e.g., direct physical connections, virtual networks, and / or the like using any suitable transport network).
[0041] The wireless network 100 may also include a relay station. A relay station is an entity that can receive a data transmission from an upstream station (e.g., a BS or a UE) and send the data transmission to a downstream station (e.g., a UE or a BS). A relay station may also be a UE that can relay transmissions for other UEs. Figure 1 In the example shown in FIG. 1 , a relay station 110 d may communicate with a macro BS 110 a and a UE 120 d to facilitate communication between the BS 110 a and the UE 120 d. A relay station may also be referred to as a relay BS, a relay base station, a relay, or the like.
[0042] The wireless network 100 may be a heterogeneous network including different types of BSs, such as macro BSs, pico BSs, femto BSs, relay BSs, etc. These different types of BSs may have different transmit power levels, different coverage areas, and different effects on interference in the wireless network 100. For example, a macro BS may have a high transmit power level (e.g., 5 to 40 watts), while a pico BS, a femto BS, and a relay BS may have a lower transmit power level (e.g., 0.1 to 2 watts).
[0043] A network controller 130 may be coupled to a set of BSs and may provide coordination and control for these BSs. The network controller 130 may communicate with the BSs via a backhaul. The BSs may also communicate with each other directly or indirectly, for example, via a wireless or wired backhaul.
[0044] UE 120 (e.g., 120a, 120b, 120c) can be dispersed throughout the wireless network 100, and each UE can be fixed or mobile. UE can also be referred to as an access terminal, terminal, mobile station, subscriber unit, site, etc. UE can be a cellular phone (e.g., a smart phone), a personal digital assistant (PDA), a wireless modem, a wireless communication device, a handheld device, a laptop computer, a cordless phone, a wireless local loop (WLL) station, a tablet device, a camera, a gaming device, a netbook, a smartbook, an ultrabook, a medical device or equipment, a biosensor / device, a wearable device (smart watch, smart clothing, smart glasses, smart wristband, smart jewelry (e.g., smart ring, smart bracelet)), an entertainment device (e.g., a music or video device, or a satellite radio), a vehicle component or sensor, a smart meter / sensor, an industrial manufacturing device, a global positioning system device, or any other suitable device configured to communicate via a wireless or wired medium.
[0045] Some UEs may be considered as machine type communication (MTC) or evolved or enhanced machine type communication (eMTC) UEs. MTC and eMTC UEs include, for example, robots, drones, remote control devices, sensors, meters, monitors, location tags, etc., which may communicate with a base station, another device (e.g., a remote control device), or some other entity. A wireless node may provide, for example, connectivity to or to a network (e.g., a wide area network such as the Internet or a cellular network) via a wired or wireless communication link. Some UEs may be considered as Internet of Things (IoT) devices and / or may be implemented as NB-IoT (narrowband Internet of Things) devices. Some UEs may be considered as client equipment (CPE). UE 120 may be included in a housing that houses components of UE 120 (e.g., processor components, memory components, etc.).
[0046] Typically, any number of wireless networks can be deployed in a given geographic area. Each wireless network can support a specific radio access technology (RAT) and can operate on one or more frequencies. RAT can also be referred to as a radio technology, an air interface, etc. Frequency can also be referred to as a carrier, a frequency channel, etc. Each frequency can support a single RAT in a given geographic area to avoid interference between wireless networks of different RATs. In some cases, NR or 5G RAT networks can be deployed.
[0047] In some aspects, two or more UEs 120 (e.g., shown as UE 120a and UE 120e) may communicate directly (e.g., without using base station 110 as an intermediary to communicate with each other) using one or more side link channels. For example, UE 120 may communicate using peer-to-peer (P2P) communication, device-to-device (D2D) communication, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) protocols (e.g., which may include vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) protocols, vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) protocols, etc.), mesh networks, etc. In this case, UE 120 may perform scheduling operations, resource selection operations, and / or other operations as performed by base station 110 as described elsewhere herein.
[0048] As indicated above, Figure 1 is provided as an example. Other examples may differ from those for Figure 1 Examples described.
[0049] Figure 2 A block diagram of a design 200 of a base station 110 and a UE 120 is shown, where the base station 110 and the UE 120 may be Figure 1 Base station 110 may be equipped with T antennas 234a through 234t, and UE 120 may be equipped with R antennas 252a through 252r, where in general T≧1 and R≧1.
[0050] At the base station 110, the transmit processor 220 may receive data for one or more UEs from the data source 212, select one or more modulation and coding schemes (MCS) for each UE based at least in part on a channel quality indicator (CQI) received from the UE, process (e.g., encode and modulate) the data for each UE based at least in part on the MCS selected for the UE, and provide data symbols for all UEs. The transmit processor 220 may also process system information (e.g., for semi-static resource partitioning information (SRPI), etc.) and control information (e.g., CQI requests, grants, upper layer signaling, etc.), and provide overhead symbols and control symbols. The transmit processor 220 may also generate reference symbols for reference signals (e.g., cell-specific reference signals (CRS)) and synchronization signals (e.g., primary synchronization signals (PSS) and secondary synchronization signals (SSS)). The transmit (TX) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) processor 230 can perform spatial processing (e.g., precoding) on data symbols, control symbols, overhead symbols, and / or reference symbols (if applicable), and can provide T output symbol streams to T modulators (MOD) 232a to 232t. Each modulator 232 can process a corresponding output symbol stream (e.g., for OFDM, etc.) to obtain an output sample stream. Each modulator 232 can further process (e.g., convert to analog, amplify, filter, and up-convert) the output sample stream to obtain a downlink signal. The T downlink signals from modulators 232a to 232t can be sent via T antennas 234a to 234t, respectively. According to various aspects described in more detail below, position coding can be used to generate synchronization signals to convey additional information.
[0051] At UE 120, antennas 252a to 252r may receive downlink signals from base station 110 and / or other base stations, and may provide received signals to demodulators (DEMODs) 254a to 254r, respectively. Each demodulator 254 may condition (e.g., filter, amplify, downconvert, and digitize) the received signal to obtain input samples. Each demodulator 254 may further process the input samples (e.g., for OFDM, etc.) to obtain received symbols. MIMO detector 256 may obtain received symbols from all R demodulators 254a to 254r, perform MIMO detection on the received symbols (if applicable), and provide detected symbols. Receive processor 258 may process (e.g., demodulate and decode) the detected symbols, provide decoded data for UE 120 to data sink 260, and provide decoded control information and system information to controller / processor 280. The channel processor may determine reference signal received power (RSRP), received signal strength indicator (RSSI), reference signal received quality (RSRQ), channel quality indicator (CQI), etc. In some aspects, one or more components of UE 120 may be included in a housing.
[0052] On the uplink, at the UE 120, a transmit processor 264 may receive and process data from a data source 262 and control information from a controller / processor 280 (e.g., for reports including RSRP, RSSI, RSRQ, CQI, etc.). The transmit processor 264 may also generate reference symbols for one or more reference signals. The symbols from the transmit processor 264 may be precoded by a TX MIMO processor 266 (if applicable), further processed by modulators 254a through 254r (e.g., for DFT-s-OFDM, CP-OFDM, etc.), and transmitted to the base station 110. At the base station 110, uplink signals from the UE 120 and other UEs may be received by the antenna 234, processed by the demodulator 232, detected by the MIMO detector 236 (if applicable), and further processed by the receive processor 238 to obtain decoded data and control information transmitted by the UE 120. The receive processor 238 may provide decoded data to a data sink 239 and provide decoded control information to a controller / processor 240. The base station 110 may include a communication unit 244 and communicate with the network controller 130 via the communication unit 244. The network controller 130 may include a communication unit 294, a controller / processor 290, and a memory 292.
[0053] The controller / processor 240 of the base station 110, the controller / processor 280 of the UE 120, and / or Figure 2Any other component of the controller / processor 240 of the base station 110, the controller / processor 280 of the UE 120, and / or Figure 2 Any other component may perform or direct e.g. Fig. 9 The process of 900 Fig.10 The process of 1000 Fig.11 Process 1100, Fig.12 The operations of process 1200 and / or other processes as described herein. Memories 242 and 282 may store data and program codes for base station 110 and UE 120, respectively. In some aspects, memory 242 and / or memory 282 may include a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing one or more instructions for wireless communication. For example, the one or more instructions, when executed by one or more processors of base station 110 and / or UE 120, may perform or direct, for example, Fig. 9 The process of 900 Fig.10 The process of 1000 Fig.11 Process 1100, Fig.12 The scheduler 246 may schedule UEs for data transmission on the downlink and / or uplink.
[0054] In some aspects, the UE 120 may include: means for determining at least one of an interleaving configuration or a cyclic shift configuration for a corresponding repetition of a CORESET; means for monitoring one or more physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates in the corresponding repetition based at least in part on determining the at least one of the interleaving configuration or the cyclic shift configuration for the corresponding repetition of the CORESET; means for determining at least one of the interleaving configuration or the cyclic shift configuration for the CORESET in more than three symbols to which a resource element group (REG) binding bundle of the CORESET is to be mapped; means for monitoring one or more PDCCH candidates in the CORESET based at least in part on the at least one of the interleaving configuration or the cyclic shift configuration; and the like. In some aspects, such means may include combining Figure 2 One or more components of UE 120 are depicted, such as controller / processor 280, transmit processor 264, TX MIMO processor 266, MOD 254, antenna 252, DEMOD 254, MIMO detector 256, receive processor 258, and the like.

[0057] Figure 3A An exemplary resource structure 300 for wireless communication according to various aspects of the present disclosure is shown. Resource structure 300 shows examples of various resource groups described herein. As shown, resource structure 300 may include a subframe 305. Subframe 305 may include a plurality of time slots 310. Although resource structure 300 is shown as including 2 time slots per subframe, a different number of time slots may be included in a subframe (e.g., 4 time slots, 8 time slots, 16 time slots, 32 time slots, etc.). In some aspects, different types of transmission time intervals (TTIs) other than subframes and / or time slots may be used. Time slot 310 may include a plurality of symbols 315, such as 7 symbols or 14 symbols per time slot.
[0058] The potential control region of the time slot 310 may be referred to as a CORESET 320 and may be configured to support efficient use of resources, such as by flexible configuration or reconfiguration of resources of the CORESET 320 for one or more PDCCHs, one or more physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs), etc. In some aspects, the CORESET 320 may occupy the first symbol 315 of the time slot 310, the first two symbols 315 of the time slot 310, or the first three symbols 315 of the time slot 310. Thus, the CORESET 320 may include multiple resource blocks (RBs) in the frequency domain, and one, two, or three symbols 315 in the time domain. In 5G, the number of resources included in the CORESET 320 may be flexibly configured, such as by using radio resource control (RRC) signaling to indicate the frequency domain region (e.g., the number of resource blocks) and / or the time domain region (e.g., the number of symbols) of the CORESET 320.
[0059] As shown, a symbol 315 including a CORESET 320 may include one or more control channel elements (CCEs) 325 (e.g., shown as two CCEs 325) that span a portion of the system bandwidth. The CCEs 325 may include downlink control information (DCI) for providing control information for wireless communications. The base station may transmit the DCI during multiple CCEs 325 (as shown), where the number of CCEs 325 used to transmit the DCI represents an aggregation level (AL) used by the BS to transmit the DCI. Figure 3A , aggregation level two is shown as an example, corresponding to two CCEs 325 in time slot 310. In some aspects, different aggregation levels may be used, such as 1, 4, 8, 16, etc.
[0060] Each CCE 325 may include a fixed number of REGs 330 (shown as 4 REGs 330), or may include a variable number of REGs 330. In some aspects, the number of REGs 330 included in a CCE 325 may be specified by a REG bundling size. A REG 330 may include one resource block, which may include 12 resource elements (REs) 335 within a symbol 315. A resource element 335 may occupy one subcarrier in the frequency domain and one OFDM symbol in the time domain.
[0061] CORESET 320 may include one or more search spaces, such as a UE-specific search space, a group common search space, and / or a common search space. A search space may indicate a set of CCE positions in which a UE can find a PDCCH that can potentially be used to send control information to the UE. The possible positions of a PDCCH may depend on whether the PDCCH is a UE-specific PDCCH (e.g., for a single UE) or a group common PDCCH (e.g., for multiple UEs), the aggregation level used, and the like. The possible positions of a PDCCH (e.g., positions in time and / or frequency) may be referred to as PDCCH candidates, and a set of all possible PDCCH positions may be referred to as a search space. For example, a set of all possible PDCCH positions for a particular UE may be referred to as a UE-specific search space. Similarly, a set of all possible PDCCH positions across all UEs may be referred to as a common search space. Similarly, a set of all possible PDCCH positions for a particular UE group may be referred to as a group common search space.
[0062] In order to decode the PDCCH, the UE may require the PDCCH to use a specific aggregation level (eg, include a specific number of CCEs). For example, a UE with reduced capability and / or at a cell edge may not be able to decode a PDCCH using an aggregation level below a threshold.
[0063] Specifically, different types of UEs may operate in a cell provided by a BS. For example, a BS may provide network services for advanced UEs (which may be referred to as legacy UEs or high-layer UEs), NR light (or NR light) UEs (which may be referred to as low-layer UEs), and the like. An advanced UE may be a UE associated with a reception bandwidth capability (e.g., a bandwidth greater than or equal to 100 megahertz (MHz)) that is higher than a certain threshold when receiving a downlink signal / channel. In contrast, an NR light UE may be a UE having a bandwidth capability (e.g., a bandwidth less than 10 MHz, less than 5 MHz, etc.) that is lower than a certain threshold when receiving a downlink signal / channel. In addition, an NR light UE may have fewer receiving antennas than an advanced UE or a lower computing or storage capacity.
[0064] Accordingly, an NR light UE with reduced capabilities (e.g., a smaller number of receive antennas) may not be able to decode a PDCCH below a certain aggregation level. However, due to the reduced capabilities of the NR light UE, it may not be possible to configure a CORESET for the NR light UE that includes a number of resource blocks that will allow a higher aggregation level. Therefore, in some cases, a larger number of resource blocks may be included by using multiple repetitions of the CORESET or extending the CORESET using more than three symbols for the CORESET. However, it may not be possible to enable the UE (e.g., an NR light UE) and / or the BS to determine the interleaving configuration and / or cyclic shift configuration for such an extended CORESET. Some techniques and apparatus described herein implement interleaving configurations and / or cyclic shift configurations for multiple repetitions of the CORESET and / or for a CORESET in more than three symbols. In this way, the performance of the PDCCH (e.g., for an NR light UE) may be improved.
[0065] As indicated above, Figure 3A is provided as an example. Other examples may differ from those for Figure 3A Examples described.
[0066] Figure 3B 3 is a diagram illustrating an example 350 of interleaving of CORESETs according to various aspects of the present disclosure. Specifically, example 350 may illustrate an example of interleaving CORESETs in three or fewer symbols (e.g., one symbol, two symbols, or three symbols). Figure 3B As shown in , the REG binding bundle 352 may be configured to include two REGs 351 (i.e., the REG binding bundle 352 may be configured to have a size of two REGs 351). That is, the REG binding bundle 352 may have a REG binding bundle shape including two REGs 351 in the frequency domain and one symbol in the time domain (e.g., for CORESET 356 in one symbol).
[0067] As indicated by reference numeral 353, REG binding bundles 352 may be written to matrix 354 according to an interleaving configuration. For example, the interleaving configuration may indicate the number of rows to be used for interleaving. As shown, the number of rows may be three (e.g., matrix 354 may include three rows). REG binding bundles 352 may be written to matrix 354 row by row, such that REG binding bundles 352 are first written to the first row of matrix 354, second written to the second row of matrix 354, and so on.
[0068] As indicated by reference numeral 355, the REG binding bundles 352 may be read out from the matrix 354 in units of REG binding bundles and mapped to a plurality of CCEs (CCE1, CCE2, CCE3, and CCE4) of the CORESET 356. For example, the REG binding bundles 352 may be read out from the matrix 354 by column and mapped to the plurality of CCEs. For example, the REG binding bundles 352 in the first column of the matrix 354 are first mapped to the plurality of CCEs, the REG binding bundles 352 in the second column are secondly mapped to the plurality of CCEs, and so on. The CCE may include six REGs 351 (i.e., three REG binding bundles 352 of two REGs 351).
[0069] As indicated by reference numeral 357 , mapping of the REG bonding bundle 352 to the plurality of CCEs of the CORESET 356 may cause the REG bonding bundle 352 to be interleaved among the plurality of CCEs of the CORESET 356 .
[0070] As described above, the REG bonding bundle 352 can have a REG bonding bundle shape that includes one symbol in the time domain, so that the REG bonding bundle 352 can be mapped to the CORESET 356 in one symbol. However, some wireless telecommunication systems may not be able to enable the REG bonding bundle in one symbol (i.e., the traditional REG bonding bundle shape) to be mapped to the CORESET in more than three symbols. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein enable such mapping of the traditional REG bonding bundle shape to the CORESET in more than three symbols.
[0071] As indicated above, Figure 3B is provided as an example. Other examples may differ from those for Figure 3B Examples described.
[0072] Figure 3C 3 is a diagram showing an example 360 of interleaving of CORESETs according to various aspects of the present disclosure. Specifically, example 360 may illustrate an example of interleaving CORESETs in three or fewer symbols. Figure 3C As shown in FIG. 3 , the REG bundling bundle 362 may be configured to include two REGs 361. That is, the REG bundling bundle 362 may have a REG bundling bundle shape including two REGs 361 in two symbols in the time domain (eg, for CORESET 366 in two symbols).
[0073] As indicated by reference numeral 363, REG binding bundles 362 may be written into matrix 364 according to an interleaving configuration, as described above in conjunction with Figure 3B For example, the interleaving configuration may indicate the number of rows to be used for interleaving. As shown, the number of rows may be six (eg, matrix 364 may include six rows).
[0074] As indicated by reference numeral 365, the REG binding bundle 362 may be read out from the matrix 364 in units of REG binding bundles and mapped to a plurality of CCEs (CCE1-CCE8) of the CORESET 366, as described above in conjunction with Figure 3B As described.
[0075] As indicated by reference numeral 367 , mapping of the REG bonding bundle 362 to the plurality of CCEs of the CORESET 366 may cause the REG bonding bundle 362 to be interleaved among the plurality of CCEs of the CORESET 366 .
[0076] As described above, the REG bonding bundle 362 can have a REG bonding bundle shape including two symbols in the time domain, so that the REG bonding bundle 362 can be mapped to the CORESET 366 in the two symbols. However, some wireless telecommunication systems may not be able to enable the REG bonding bundle in two symbols (i.e., the traditional REG bonding bundle shape) to be mapped to the CORESET in more than three symbols. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein enable such mapping of the traditional REG bonding bundle shape to the CORESET in more than three symbols.
[0077] As indicated above, Figure 3C is provided as an example. Other examples may differ from those for Figure 3C Examples described.
[0078] Figure 3D 3 is a diagram showing an example 370 of interleaving of CORESETs according to various aspects of the present disclosure. Specifically, example 370 may illustrate an example of interleaving CORESETs in three or fewer symbols. Figure 3D As shown in FIG. 3 , the REG bundling bundle 372 may be configured to include six REGs 371. That is, the REG bundling bundle 372 may have a REG bundling bundle shape including two REGs 371 in the frequency domain and three symbols in the time domain (eg, for CORESET 376 in three symbols).
[0079] As indicated by reference numeral 373, REG binding bundles 372 may be written into matrix 374 according to an interleaving configuration, as described above in conjunction with Figure 3B As described. For example, the interleaving configuration may indicate the number of rows to be used for interleaving. As shown, the number of rows may be six (eg, matrix 374 may include six rows).
[0080] As indicated by reference numeral 375, the REG binding bundle 372 may be read out from the matrix 374 in units of REG binding bundles and mapped to a plurality of CCEs (CCE1-CCE12) of the CORESET 376, as described above in conjunction with Figure 3B As described.
[0081] As indicated by reference numeral 377 , mapping of the REG bonding bundle 372 to the plurality of CCEs of the CORESET 376 may cause the REG bonding bundle 372 to be interleaved among the plurality of CCEs of the CORESET 376 .
[0082] As described above, the REG bonding bundle 372 can have a REG bonding bundle shape including three symbols in the time domain, so that the REG bonding bundle 372 can be mapped to the CORESET 376 in three symbols. However, some wireless telecommunication systems may not be able to enable the REG bonding bundle in three symbols (i.e., the traditional REG bonding bundle shape) to be mapped to the CORESET in more than three symbols. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein enable such mapping of the traditional REG bonding bundle shape to the CORESET in more than three symbols.
[0083] As indicated above, Figure 3D is provided as an example. Other examples may differ from those for Figure 3D Examples described.
[0084] Figure 4 4 is a diagram illustrating an example 400 of interleaving or cyclic shifting of a CORESET according to various aspects of the present disclosure. Figure 4 As shown in , BS 110 can communicate with UE 120 in conjunction with PDCCH communication. In some aspects, UE 120 can be an NR light UE associated with limited bandwidth, power capacity, transmission range, etc., such as a wearable device, an Internet of Things (IoT) device, a sensor, a camera, etc. For example, UE 120 can have a number of receive antennas that meets (e.g., is below) a threshold and / or a bandwidth capability that meets (e.g., is below) a threshold.
[0085] like Figure 4 4 and indicated by reference numeral 405, the BS 110 may determine an interleaving configuration and / or a cyclic shift configuration to be used for a CORESET (eg, a CORESET in which the BS 110 will transmit a PDCCH to the UE 120 on one or more PDCCH candidates).
[0086] As indicated by reference numeral 410, BS 110 may send and UE 120 may receive the determined interleaving configuration and / or cyclic shift configuration. For example, BS 110 may send the interleaving configuration and / or cyclic shift configuration in a PDCCH configuration, a CORESET configuration, etc. BS 110 may send the interleaving configuration and / or cyclic shift configuration via RRC signaling. In some aspects, BS 110 may not send the interleaving configuration and / or cyclic shift configuration to UE 120, such as when the interleaving configuration and / or cyclic shift configuration is determined by UE 120 in another manner, as described below.
[0087] As indicated by reference numeral 415, the UE 120 may determine an interleaving configuration and / or a cyclic shift configuration to be used for a CORESET (e.g., a CORESET in which the BS 110 will send a PDCCH to the UE 120 on one or more PDCCH candidates). In some aspects, the interleaving configuration may identify an interleaving pattern for the CORESET, such as the number of rows to be used for interleaving (e.g., the number of rows of a matrix into which the REG bundling bundles are to be written). In some aspects, the cyclic shift configuration may identify a cyclic shift index (e.g., a ShiftIndex parameter) for the CORESET (e.g., an index of a REG, resource block, etc. from which the REG bundling bundles of the CORESET are to be cyclically shifted).
[0088] In some aspects, CORESET can be in more than three symbols, such as in combination with Figure 5-Figure 8 As described. In some aspects, UE 120 may determine an interleaving configuration and / or a cyclic shift configuration to be used for a corresponding repetition of a CORESET. For example, UE 120 may determine a first interleaving configuration (e.g., a first number of rows to be used for interleaving) and / or a cyclic shift configuration (e.g., a first cyclic shift index) for a first repetition of a CORESET, a second interleaving configuration (e.g., a second number of rows to be used for interleaving) and / or a cyclic shift configuration (e.g., a second cyclic shift index) for a second repetition of a CORESET, and so on. The repetition of a CORESET may be an inter-slot repetition (e.g., a repetition that occurs in multiple slots) and / or an intra-slot repetition (e.g., a repetition that occurs in a single slot).
[0089] In some aspects, for example, when BS 110 sends an interleaving configuration and / or a cyclic shift configuration (e.g., via RRC signaling), UE 120 may determine the interleaving configuration and / or the cyclic shift configuration based at least in part on the configuration sent by BS 110. In some aspects, UE 120 may determine the interleaving configuration and / or the cyclic shift configuration in another manner.
[0090] For example, UE 120 may determine an interleaving configuration and / or a cyclic shift configuration for a particular repetition of a CORESET based at least in part on a slot index associated with the repetition (e.g., for an inter-slot repetition) and / or a starting symbol index associated with the repetition (e.g., for an intra-slot repetition). For example, UE 120 may determine a first interleaving configuration and / or a cyclic shift configuration for a first repetition of a CORESET based at least in part on a slot index and / or a starting symbol index of the first repetition of the CORESET, determine a second interleaving configuration and / or a cyclic shift configuration for a second repetition based at least in part on a slot index and / or a starting symbol index of a second repetition of the CORESET, and so on. In this case, BS 110 may also determine a corresponding interleaving configuration and / or a corresponding cyclic shift configuration for a particular repetition of a CORESET in a similar manner.
[0091] As indicated by reference numeral 420, BS 110 may transmit on one or more PDCCH candidates in the CORESET. That is, BS 110 may transmit on the one or more PDCCHs for UE 120 on the one or more PDCCH candidates. In some aspects, such as when the CORESET repeats in multiple repetitions, BS 110 may transmit on one or more PDCCHs in multiple repetitions of the CORESET. BS 110 may transmit on the one or more PDCCH candidates using an interleaving pattern and / or a cyclic shift according to an interleaving configuration and / or a cyclic shift configuration determined by BS 110.
[0092] As indicated by reference numeral 425, the UE 120 may monitor one or more PDCCH candidates in the CORESET. In some aspects, such as when the CORESET is repeated in multiple repetitions, the UE 120 may monitor one or more PDCCH candidates in multiple repetitions of the CORESET. The UE 120 may monitor the one or more PDCCH candidates according to an interleaving configuration and / or a cyclic shift configuration determined by the UE 120 (e.g., for a particular repetition of the CORESET). That is, the UE 120 may decode (e.g., deinterleave and / or deshift) one or more PDCCHs in the one or more PDCCH candidates using an interleaving pattern and / or a cyclic shift according to the interleaving configuration and / or a cyclic shift configuration determined by the UE 120 (e.g., for a particular repetition of the CORESET).
[0093] As indicated above, Figure 4 is provided as an example. Other examples may differ from those for Figure 4 Examples described.
[0094] Figure 5is a diagram illustrating an example 500 of interleaving of CORESETs according to various aspects of the present disclosure. Specifically, example 500 may illustrate an example of interleaving CORESETs in more than three symbols (eg, four symbols, six symbols, eight symbols, twelve symbols, etc.).
[0095] like Figure 5 As shown in FIG. 1 , a plurality of REG binding bundles 505 may be written into a matrix 510 (eg, by BS 110 ), such as in combination with Figure 3B-Figure 3D As described. REG binding bundle 505 can be configured to include a specific number of REGs (e.g., two REGs as shown). REG binding bundle 505 can be written into multiple rows of matrix 510 (e.g., six rows as shown). The multiple rows of matrix 510 can include the number of rows configured by interleaving configuration, such as in combination with Figure 4 As described.
[0096] As indicated by reference numeral 515, REG bonding bundle 505 may be read out from matrix 510 (eg, by BS 110) in units of REG bonding bundles and mapped (eg, by BS 110) to a plurality of CCEs (CCE1-CCE8) of CORESET 520, as shown in conjunction with Figure 3B-Figure 3D As described. For example, the REG binding bundle 505 can be read out from the matrix 510 by column and mapped to the plurality of CCEs. As described above, the CORESET 520 can be in more than three symbols 525 (eg, four symbols 525 as shown).
[0097] In some aspects, REG binding bundles 505 can be mapped to symbol groups of CORESET 520. For example, more than three symbols of CORESET 520 can be grouped into two or more symbol groups (e.g., including an equal number of symbols 525). Figure 5 As shown in , REG binding bundle 505 can be mapped to a first symbol group 530 including two symbols 525 and a second symbol group 535 including two symbols 525. A CCE in a plurality of CCEs may include a number of symbols 525 corresponding to the number of symbols 525 in a symbol group. In addition, the number of symbols 525 in a symbol group may correspond to the number of symbols 525 in REG binding bundle 505. In this way, REG binding bundles of three or fewer symbols (e.g., REG binding bundles in REG binding bundle shapes, such as those combined with Figure 3B-Figure 3D described) can be mapped to a CORESET in more than three symbols.
[0098] In some aspects, such as Figure 5As shown in , REG binding bundle 505 can be mapped to symbol groups first by frequency and second by time. For example, REG binding bundle 505 (which is read out from matrix 510 by column) can be mapped to resources in first symbol group 530 first and secondly to resources in second symbol group 535. In other words, REG binding bundle 505 can be mapped to resources in the first symbol group before being mapped to resources in the second symbol group 535.
[0099] As indicated by reference numeral 540, mapping of the REG bundles 505 to the plurality of CCEs (e.g., first by frequency and second by time) may cause the REG bundles 505 to be interleaved among the plurality of CCEs of the CORESET 520. In this manner, the REG bundles 505 of the same PDCCH may be distributed across different symbols 525 and / or resource blocks, thereby improving diversity of the PDCCH.
[0100] As indicated above, Figure 5 is provided as an example. Other examples may differ from those for Figure 5 Examples described.
[0101] Figure 6 is a diagram illustrating an example 600 of interleaving of CORESETs according to various aspects of the present disclosure. Specifically, example 600 may illustrate an example of interleaving CORESETs in more than three symbols (eg, four symbols, six symbols, eight symbols, twelve symbols, etc.).
[0102] like Figure 6 As shown in FIG. 6 , a plurality of REG binding bundles 605 may be written into a matrix 610 (eg, by BS 110 ), such as in combination with Figure 5 For example, the REG binding bundle 605 may be written into the matrix 610 by row. As indicated by reference numeral 615, the REG binding bundle 605 may be read out from the matrix 610 (e.g., by BS 110) in units of REG binding bundles and mapped (e.g., by BS 110) to a plurality of CCEs (CCE1-CCE8) of the CORESET 620, as shown in conjunction with Figure 5 As described. For example, the REG bundling bundle 505 may be read out from the matrix 610 by column and mapped to the plurality of CCEs. As described above, the CORESET 620 may be in more than three symbols 625 (eg, four symbols 625 as shown).
[0103] In some aspects, REG binding bundle 605 can be mapped to a symbol group of CORESET 620, such as in conjunction with Figure 5 As described. Figure 6As shown in , the REG bonding bundle 605 can be mapped to a first symbol group 625 including two symbols 630 and a second symbol group 635 including two symbols 625 .
[0104] In some aspects, such as Figure 6 As shown in , the REG binding bundle 605 can be mapped to the symbol group first by time and second by frequency. For example, the REG binding 605 (which is read out from the matrix 610 by column) can be mapped to the resources in the first symbol group 630 and the second symbol group 635 first at the first frequency position, and then to the resources in the first symbol group 630 and the second symbol group 635 at the second frequency configuration, and so on. In other words, the REG binding bundle 605 can be mapped to the resources of the first symbol group 630 and the second symbol group 635 in the first frequency position before being mapped to the resources of the first symbol group 630 and the second symbol group 635 in the second frequency configuration. The frequency configuration can correspond to the frequency domain range of the REG binding bundle 605.
[0105] As indicated by reference numeral 640, the mapping of the REG bundle 605 to the multiple CCEs (e.g., first by time and second by frequency) can cause the REG bundle 605 to be interleaved among the multiple CCEs of the CORESET. In this way, the REG bundle 605 of the same PDCCH can be distributed across different symbols 625 and / or resource blocks, thereby improving the diversity of the PDCCH.
[0106] As indicated above, Figure 6 is provided as an example. Other examples may differ from those for Figure 6 Examples described.
[0107] Figure 7 700 is a diagram illustrating an example of cyclic shifting of a CORESET in accordance with various aspects of the present disclosure. Specifically, example 700 may illustrate an example of cyclic shifting of a CORESET in more than three symbols (e.g., four symbols, six symbols, eight symbols, twelve symbols, etc.). The CORESET may be interleaved (e.g., based on a combination of Figure 5 or Figure 6 described interlaced) or non-interlaced.
[0108] like Figure 7As shown in FIG. 1 , a CORESET 705 may include a plurality of REGs 710. The REGs 710 may be grouped into a plurality of REG binding bundles 715. For example, as shown, a REG binding bundle 715 may include two REGs 710. As described above, a CORESET 705 may be in more than three symbols 720 (e.g., eight symbols 720 as shown). Accordingly, the more than three symbols of a CORESET 705 may be grouped into two or more symbol groups, such as in combination with Figure 5 For example, as shown, CORESET 705 may include a first symbol group 725a, a second symbol group 725b, a third symbol group 725c, and a fourth symbol group 725d, each of which includes two symbols 720. Symbol group 725 may include REG binding bundles 715 in symbols 720 included in symbol group 725.
[0109] As indicated by reference numeral 730, in some aspects, the REG bundling bundles 715 of the CORESET 705 may be cyclically shifted (e.g., by the BS 110) according to a common frequency domain cyclic shift for the symbol group 725. That is, the REG bundling bundles 715 for each symbol group 725 may be cyclically shifted by the same number of resource blocks (e.g., the same cyclic shift index) in the frequency domain.
[0110] As indicated by reference numeral 735, in some aspects, the REG bundlings 715 of the CORESET 705 may be cyclically shifted (e.g., by the BS 110) according to a corresponding frequency domain cyclic shift for the symbol group 725. That is, the REG bundlings 715 for each symbol group 725 may be cyclically shifted in the frequency domain by a corresponding number of resource blocks (e.g., a corresponding cyclic shift index). For example, the REG bundlings 715 for the first symbol group 725a may be cyclically shifted according to a first cyclic shift (e.g., zero REG bundlings in the time domain, as shown), the REG bundlings 715 for the second symbol group 725b may be cyclically shifted according to a second cyclic shift (e.g., five REG bundlings in the frequency domain, as shown), the REG bundlings 715 for the third symbol group 725c may be cyclically shifted according to a third cyclic shift (e.g., two REG bundlings in the frequency domain, as shown), and so on.
[0111] In some aspects, the cyclic shift configuration sent by the BS 110 may identify a corresponding cyclic shift for the symbol group 725 (or a common cyclic shift for the symbol group 725). In some aspects, the UE 120 may determine the corresponding cyclic shift for the symbol group 725 (or a common cyclic shift for the symbol group 725) based at least in part on a corresponding starting symbol index for the symbol group 725. For example, the UE 120 may determine a first cyclic shift for the first symbol group 725a based at least in part on a first starting symbol of the first symbol group 725a, determine a second cyclic shift for the second symbol group 725b based at least in part on a second starting symbol of the second symbol group 725b, and so on.
[0112] As indicated above, Figure 7 is provided as an example. Other examples may differ from those for Figure 7 Examples described.
[0113] Figure 8 8 is a diagram illustrating an example 800 of cyclic shifting of a CORESET in accordance with various aspects of the present disclosure. Specifically, example 800 may illustrate an example of cyclic shifting of a CORESET in more than three symbols (e.g., four symbols, six symbols, eight symbols, twelve symbols, etc.). The CORESET may be interleaved (e.g., based on a combination of Figure 5 or Figure 6 described interlaced) or non-interlaced.
[0114] like Figure 8 As shown in FIG. 8 , a CORESET 805 may include a plurality of REGs 810, which may be grouped into a plurality of REG binding bundles 815, such as in combination with Figure 7 As described above, CORESET 805 may be in more than three symbols 820, and these symbols 820 may be grouped into two or more symbol groups, such as in combination with Figure 5 As described. Figure 8 As shown in , the frequency resources of CORESET805 can be grouped into multiple frequency domain ranges 825a, 825b, 825c and 825d. The frequency domain range may include a range of frequency domain resources, such as one or more subcarriers. For example, the frequency domain range may correspond to the frequency range of one or more REG binding bundles 815 (e.g., two REG binding bundles 815 as shown).
[0115] As indicated by reference numeral 830, in some aspects, the REG bundlings 815 of the CORESET 705 may be cyclically shifted (e.g., by the BS 110) according to a common time domain cyclic shift for the frequency domain ranges 825. That is, the REG bundlings 815 for each frequency domain range 825 may be cyclically shifted by the same number of REG bundling units in the time domain. For example, as shown, the REG bundlings 815 may be cyclically shifted by one REG bundling unit in the time domain (e.g., across all resource blocks).
[0116] As indicated by reference numeral 835, in some aspects, the REG bonding bundles 815 of the CORESET 805 may be cyclically shifted (e.g., by the BS 110) according to the corresponding time domain cyclic shift for the frequency domain range 825. That is, the REG bonding bundles 815 for each frequency domain range 825 may be cyclically shifted by a corresponding number of REG bonding bundle units in the time domain. For example, the REG bonding bundles 815 for the first frequency domain range 825a may be cyclically shifted by a first cyclic shift (e.g., one REG bonding bundle unit in the time domain, as shown), the REG bonding bundles 815 for the second frequency domain range 825b may be cyclically shifted by a second cyclic shift (e.g., zero REG bonding bundle units in the time domain, as shown), the REG bonding bundles 815 for the third frequency domain range 825c may be cyclically shifted by a third cyclic shift (e.g., three REG bonding bundle units in the time domain, as shown), and so on.
[0117] In some aspects, the cyclic shift configuration sent by the BS 110 may identify a corresponding cyclic shift for the frequency domain range 825 (or a common cyclic shift for the frequency domain range 825). In some aspects, the UE 120 may determine the corresponding cyclic shift for the frequency domain range 825 (e.g., the common cyclic shift for the frequency domain range 825) based at least in part on a corresponding starting resource block (e.g., an index of the corresponding starting resource block) of the frequency domain range 825. For example, the UE 120 may determine a first cyclic shift for the first frequency domain range 825a based at least in part on a first starting resource block of the first frequency domain range 825a, determine a second cyclic shift for the second frequency domain range 825b based at least in part on a second starting resource block of the second frequency domain range 825b, and so on.
[0118] In some aspects, the REG bundling bundle 815 of the CORESET 805 may be cyclically shifted in both the frequency domain and the time domain (e.g., first in the frequency domain or first in the time domain). For example, the REG bundling bundle 815 may be cyclically shifted by at least one of a common frequency domain cyclic shift for the symbol group of the CORESET 805 or a corresponding frequency domain cyclic shift for the symbol group, such as in conjunction with Figure 7 Continuing with the previous example, the REG bundling bundles may also be cyclically shifted by at least one of a common time domain cyclic shift for the frequency domain range 825 or a corresponding time domain cyclic shift for the frequency domain range 825, as described above.
[0119] As indicated above, Figure 8 is provided as an example. Other examples may differ from those for Figure 8 Examples described.
