As may be appreciated, the processor 302, the memory 304, the input device 306, the display 308, the transmitter 310, and the receiver 312 may be substantially similar to the processor 202, the memory 204, the input device 206, the display 208, the transmitter 210, and the receiver 212 of the remote unit 102, respectively.

[0053] In some embodiments, the transmitter 310 may: transmit first information indicating sounding reference signal spatial relationship information for a sounding reference signal resource, wherein the sounding reference signal spatial relationship information includes: a plurality of sounding reference signal spatial relationship information identifiers; and a sounding reference signal spatial relationship information reference signal corresponding to each of the plurality of sounding reference signal spatial relationship information identifiers; and transmit second information indicating updating the sounding reference signal spatial relationship information of the sounding reference signal resource, wherein the second information includes: a serving cell identifier; a bandwidth part identifier; one or more sounding reference signal resource identifiers, one or more sounding reference signal resource set identifiers, or a combination thereof; and one or more sounding reference signal spatial relationship information identifiers of the plurality of sounding reference signal spatial relationship information identifiers, wherein each of the one or more sounding reference signal resource identifiers corresponds to each of the one or more sounding reference signal spatial relationship information identifiers. Although only one transmitter 310 and one receiver 312 are illustrated, the network unit 104 may have any suitable number of transmitters 310 and receivers 312. The transmitter 310 and the receiver 312 may be any suitable type of transmitter and receiver. In one embodiment, the transmitter 310 and the receiver 312 may be part of a transceiver.

[0054] In some embodiments, each SRS resource may be configured with a spatialRelationInfo field via RRC. The spatialRelationInfo field may indicate to the UE which TX beam to use to transmit the corresponding SRS resource. The spatialRelationInfo used for the SRS resource may be an index indicating a CSI-RS, an SSB, or another SRS. If the gNB wants the UE to change the TX beam of the SRS resource, the gNB may update the spatialRelationInfo by sending an RRC message. It will be understood that sending an RRC message to update the spatialRelationInfo may take a long time and the gNB may not be able to switch the TX beam of the SRS resource quickly. For semi-persistent SRS, activation and deactivation of an SRS resource set may be triggered by a MAC CE. During activation, all SRS resources within the SRS resource set may be configured with spatialRelationInfo. However, this may be limited to SP SRS.

[0055] In various embodiments, MAC CE may be used to quickly update spatialRelationInfo for SRS resources. In some embodiments, a UE may be configured with up to 64 spatialRelationInfos and the gNB may use MAC CE to quickly update the TX beams for aperiodic or semi-persistent SRS. To facilitate intra-band CA operation, if multiple carriers within the same band share the same TX beam, the same spatialRelationInfo may be shared across multiple carriers in different SRS resources for the same purpose. The common spatialRelationInfo for these SRS resources in different BWPs or different CCs of the same carrier may also be quickly updated via MAC-CE. In some embodiments, up to 2 carrier lists may be configured for this purpose.

[0056] In certain embodiments, the spatial relationship information (eg, spatialRelationInfo) for the SRS resources may be configured using an RRC message, such as the RRC message found in Table 1.

[0057] Table 1: Spatial relationship information configuration of SRS with RRC message

[0058]

[0059]

[0060] In various embodiments, the spatial relationship information for the PUCCH may be updated (eg, activated and / or deactivated) via a MAC CE, such as that found in Table 2.

[0061] Table 2: Spatial relationship information update of PUCCH via MAC CE

[0062]

[0063] Figure 42 is a schematic block diagram illustrating an embodiment of a MAC CE 400 for PUCCH spatial relationship activation and / or deactivation corresponding to Table 2. The MAC CE 400 includes a first octet 402, a second octet 404, and a third octet 406 including elements as described in Table 2. Each of the first octet 402, the second octet 404, and the third octet 406 includes eight bits. The first octet 402 includes a reserved bit R, a serving cell ID (5 bits), and a BWP ID (2 bits). The second octet 404 includes a reserved bit R and a PUCCH resource ID (7 bits). The third octet 406 includes eight Si bits S7, S6, S5, S4, S3, S2, S1, and S0, as described in Table 2.

[0064] In some embodiments, the spatialRelationInfo for the semi-persistent SRS resources within the SRS resource set may be configured during activation via a MAC CE, such as that found in Table 3.

[0065] Table 3: SP SRS activation / deactivation MAC CE

[0066]

[0067]

[0068] Figure 5 3 is a schematic block diagram illustrating an embodiment of a MAC CE 500 for SP SRS activation and / or deactivation corresponding to Table 3. The MAC CE 500 includes a first octet 502, a second octet 504, a third octet 506, a fourth octet 508, a fifth octet 510, and a sixth octet 512, and additional octets containing elements as described in Table 3 as needed. Each of the first octet 502, the second octet 504, the third octet 506, the fourth octet 508, the fifth octet 510, and the sixth octet 512 includes eight bits. The first octet 502 includes an A / D bit, a cell ID (5 bits) and a BWP ID (2 bits) of an SRS resource set (e.g., a BWP ID of an SRS resource set). The second octet 504 includes two reserved bits R, a C bit, a SUL bit, and an SP SRS resource set ID (4 bits). The third octet 506 includes Fi bits F0 and resource IDi (7 bits) (eg, resource ID0). The fourth octet 508 includes Fi bits F0. M-1 and resource ID i (7 bits) (e.g., resource ID M-1). The fifth octet 510 includes reserved bits, resource serving cell IDi (5 bits) (e.g., resource serving cell ID0) and BWP IDi (2 bits) (e.g., BWP ID0, resource BWPID0). The sixth octet 512 includes reserved bits, resource serving cell IDi (5 bits) (e.g., resource serving cell ID M-1 ) and BWP ID i (2 bits) (e.g., BWP ID M-1 , Resource BWP ID M-1 ).

[0069] In some embodiments, the SRS Resource spatialRelationInfo MAC-CE may be used to: update the spatial relationship information of a single AP SRS; and update the spatial relationship information of AP and / or SP SRS in multiple CCs and / or BWPs. In such an embodiment, the MAC CE may be identified by a MAC PDU subheader with a dedicated LCID. An example implementation of the MAC CE is Figure 6 As shown in the figure.

[0070] Figure 6 6 is a schematic block diagram illustrating an embodiment of a MAC CE 600 for updating SRS resource spatial relationship information. The MAC CE 600 includes a first octet 602, a second octet 604, and a third octet 606. Each of the first octet 602, the second octet 604, and the third octet 606 includes eight bits. The first octet 602 includes a reserved bit R, a serving cell ID (5 bits), and a BWP ID (2 bits). The second octet 604 includes two reserved bits R and an SRS resource ID (6 bits). The third octet 606 includes two reserved bits R and an SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID (6 bits).

[0071] Figure 6The fields of MAC CE 600 may be defined as follows: 1) Serving cell ID: This field may indicate the identification of the serving cell of the SRS resources to which the MAC CE applies - the length of this field is 5 bits; 2) BWP ID: This field may indicate the UL BWP applied by the MAC CE as the code point of the DCI bandwidth part indicator field - the length of the BWP ID field is 2 bits; 3) SRS resource ID: This field may indicate the ID of the SRS resource - it may be one of the SRS resource IDs configured in the SRS-Config via RRC and the length of this field is 6 bits; 4) SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID: This may identify the ID of the SRS-spatialRelationInfo applied to the SRS resources specified by the SRS resource ID.

[0072] In various embodiments, upon receiving Figure 6 When MAC CE 600 is executed, the UE updates the spatial relationship information of the SRS resource of the corresponding spatial relationship information (eg, indicated by the serving cell ID, the BWP ID, and the SRS resource ID) indicated by the SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID.

[0073] In some embodiments, the spatialRelationInfo of all SRSs with the same SRS resource ID in all BWPs of all configured CCs in the list may be implicitly updated. In some embodiments, if SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList i (i=0 or 1) is configured by RRC and includes the serving cell ID of the MAC CE, the spatialRelationInfo of all SRS resources with all matching SRS resource IDs in the BWPs of all CCs in the SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList are updated to SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID. In such an embodiment, the SRS resource may be an AP or an SP. In addition, in such an embodiment, the RRC may configure up to 2 SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList lists (e.g., 0, 1) for the UE. If the list is not configured or the serving cell ID is not included in the list, the spatialRelationInfo of any SRS resources in other CCs is not updated.

[0074] In various embodiments, spatialRelationInfo may be configured for a resource instead of configuring spatialRelationInfo for a resource set. In some embodiments, if a CC list SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList is configured, multiple SRS resources in different CCs may be updated together.

[0075] In some embodiments, the SRS-spatialRelationInfo IE may be defined as shown in Table 4.

[0076] Table 4: SRS-SpatialRelationInfo IE

[0077]

[0078] Figure 6 The MAC CE 600 may be used to update the spatialRelationInfo of multiple SRS resources within the same CC and BWP, and if SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList i is configured and includes a serving cell ID, all SRS resources with the same SRS resource ID in other CCs in the same list may be updated with the same spatialRelationInfo.

[0079] In About Figure 7 In one described embodiment, the MAC CE may include multiple pairs of SRS resource IDs and SRS-spatialRelationInfo IDs.

[0080] Specifically, Figure 7700 is a schematic block diagram illustrating another embodiment of a MAC CE 700 for updating SRS resource spatial relationship information. MAC CE 700 includes a first octet 702, a second octet 704, a third octet 706, a fourth octet 708, a fifth octet 710, a sixth octet 712, and a seventh octet 714, as well as additional octets as needed. Each of the first octet 702, the second octet 704, the third octet 706, the fourth octet 708, the fifth octet 710, the sixth octet 712, and the seventh octet 714 includes eight bits. The first octet 702 includes a reserved bit R, a serving cell ID (5 bits), and a BWP ID (2 bits). The second octet 704 includes two reserved bits R and SRS resource ID_0 (6 bits). The third octet 706 includes two reserved bits R and SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID_0 (6 bits). The fourth octet 708 includes two reserved bits R and SRS resource ID_1 (6 bits). The fifth octet 710 includes two reserved bits R and SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID_1 (6 bits). The sixth octet 712 includes two reserved bits R and SRS resource ID_(M-1) (6 bits). The seventh octet 714 includes two reserved bits R and SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID_(M-1) (6 bits). As can be understood, there can be up to M SRS resources updated by M SRS-spatialRelationInfo.

[0081] In About Figure 8 In another described embodiment, the MAC CE may use a bitmap indicating the SRS resources to be updated through the corresponding spatialRelationInfo.

[0082] Specifically, Figure 8800 is a schematic block diagram illustrating another embodiment of a MAC CE 800 for updating SRS resource spatial relationship information. MAC CE 800 includes a first octet 802, a second octet 804, a third octet 806, a fourth octet 808, a fifth octet 810, a sixth octet 812, and a seventh octet 814, as well as additional octets as needed. Each of the first octet 802, the second octet 804, the third octet 806, the fourth octet 808, the fifth octet 810, the sixth octet 812, and the seventh octet 814 includes eight bits. The first octet 802 includes a reserved bit R, a serving cell ID (5 bits), and a BWP ID (2 bits). The second octet 804 includes 8 ID bits, which are part of a 64-bit bitmap, where each bit corresponds to an SRS resource ID. The third octet 806 includes 8 additional ID bits that are part of a 64-bit bitmap. The fourth octet 808 includes 8 additional ID bits that are part of a 64-bit bitmap. It will be appreciated that the unlisted ID bits that are part of the 64-bit bitmap are indicated by the dot between the third octet 806 and the fourth octet 808. The fifth octet 810 includes SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID_0 (6 bits) and the first two bits of the six-bit SRS-spatialRelationInfoID_1. SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID_0 corresponds to a 64-bit bitmap indicating the first SRS resource ID to be updated (e.g., a "0" in the bitmap indicates that the SRS resource ID is not updated, and a "1" in the bitmap indicates that the SRS resource ID is to be updated). SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID_1 corresponds to a 64-bit bitmap indicating the second SRS resource ID to be updated. The sixth octet 812 includes the remaining 4 bits of the six-bit SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID_1. The seventh octet 814 includes six bits of the six-bit SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID_m. SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID_m corresponds to the mth (e.g., M-1) SRS resource ID to be updated as indicated by the 64-bit bitmap. The SRS-spatialRelationInfo for M SRS resource IDs may be updated, as indicated by the point between the sixth octet 812 and the seventh octet 814.

[0083] For a 64-bit bitmap, the i-th bit corresponds to SRS resource ID i. If the MAC CE 800 updates the spatialRelationInfo of SRS resource i, bit i is set to 1, and otherwise is set to 0. If there are a total of M SRS resources whose spatialRelationInfo are to be updated, there are M 1s in the bitmap, and M SRSspatialRelationInfo IDs are added after the bitmap, each corresponding to an SRS resource indicated by 1 in the bitmap.

[0084] In various embodiments, for use of SRS resource sets set to non-codebook, up to 4 SRS resources may be configured for PUSCH transmissions of up to rank 4. These SRS resources may be used as DMRS ports for non-codebook based PUSCH transmissions. If multiple SRS resources are used together in a non-codebook based PUSCH, they may be configured with the same path loss reference RS and the same spatialRelationInfo. In some embodiments, a path loss reference RS for SRS may be configured for each resource set; therefore, SRS resources in the same SRS resource set may have the same path loss reference RS. In certain embodiments, a spatialRelationInfo for SRS may be configured for each SRS resource. For SRS resources used for non-codebook PUSCH transmissions, their spatialRelationInfo may be configured to the same value per resource individually via RRC. This may be time consuming and may inhibit fast beam switching for non-codebook based PUSCH transmissions.

[0085] In some embodiments, in order to speed up the configuration and / or reconfiguration of spatial relationship information of SRS resources set as non-codebook, a spatial relationship information update based on an SRS resource set may be used. For example, a single MAC CE may be used to update the spatialRelationInfo of all SRS resources within an SRS resource set. As another example, a MAC CE with additional update rules may be used.

[0086] In various embodiments, such as for multi-TRP PUSCH, multiple non-codebook SRS resource sets can be configured for the UE. In such an embodiment, each SRS resource set can be used to be transmitted to a TRP.

[0087] In some embodiments, such as regarding Fig. 9As described, the MAC CE may be used to update the spatialRelationInfo of all SRS resources in the SRS resource set. Such an embodiment may also be used to update multiple SRS resources in other CCs. The MAC CE may be identified by a MAC PDU subheader with a dedicated LCID.

[0088] Fig. 9 1 is a schematic block diagram illustrating an embodiment of a MAC CE 900 for updating spatial relationship information of an SRS resource set. The MAC CE 900 includes a first octet 902, a second octet 904, and a third octet 906. Each of the first octet 902, the second octet 904, and the third octet 906 includes eight bits. The first octet 902 includes a reserved bit R, a serving cell ID (5 bits), and a BWP ID (2 bits). The second octet 904 includes four reserved bits R and an SRS resource set ID (4 bits). The third octet 906 includes two reserved bits R and an SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID (6 bits).

[0089] Fig. 9 The fields of MAC CE 900 can be defined as follows: 1) Serving cell ID: This field can indicate the identification of the serving cell of the SRS resources applied by the MAC CE - the length of this field is 5 bits; 2) BWP ID: This field can indicate the UL BWP applied by the MAC CE as the code point of the DCI bandwidth part indication field - the length of the BWP ID field is 2 bits; 3) SRS resource set ID: This field can indicate the ID of the SRS resource set - it can be one of the SRS resource set IDs configured in the SRS-Congfig through RRC and the length of this field is 4 bits; and 4) SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID: This can identify the ID of the SRS-spatialRelationInfo applied to the SRS resource set specified by the SRS resource set ID.

[0090] In some embodiments, upon receiving MAC CE 900, the UE updates the spatial relationship information of all SRS resources within the SRS resource set of the corresponding spatial relationship information (eg, indicated by serving cell ID, BWP ID and SRS resource set ID) indicated by SRS-spatialRelationInfoID.

[0091] In some embodiments, if SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList i (i = 0 or 1) is configured by RRC and includes the serving cell ID of the MAC CE, the spatialRelationInfo of all SRS resources in the SRS resource set with all matching SRS resource IDs in all BWPs of all CCs in the SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList is updated to SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID. In such an embodiment, the SRS resource can be an AP or an SP. In addition, in such an embodiment, the RRC can configure the UE with up to 2 SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList lists (e.g., 0, 1). If the list is not configured or the serving cell ID is not included in the list, the spatialRelationInfo of any SRS resources in other CCs is not updated.

[0092] In various embodiments, for an SRS resource set using a codebook, up to two SRS resources may be configured. These two SRS resources may or may not have the same spatialRelationInfo. If they share the same spatialRelationInfo, the gNB may also use MAC CE to configure their spatialRelationInfo together.

[0093] In some embodiments, the same spatialRelationInfo may be configured for all resources in an SRS resource set (eg, resources not individually configured in the resource set). In some embodiments, if a CC list SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList is configured, multiple SRS resources in different CCs may be updated together.

[0094] In some embodiments, if at least one SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList is configured, the MAC CE can be used to update the spatial relationship of all SRS resources in multiple SRS resource sets and / or multiple CCs. In some embodiments, if the ID of the SRS resource set can be fully indicated (e.g., via 4 bits) and / or indicated with a bitmap of length 16 (e.g., the length can be configured by maxNrofSRS-ResourceSets), the IDs in multiple SRS resource sets can be included in the same MAC CE.

[0095] Fig.101 is a schematic block diagram of another embodiment of a MAC CE 1000 for updating spatial relationship information of an SRS resource set. The MAC CE 1000 includes a first octet 1002, a second octet 1004, a third octet 1006, and a fourth octet 1008, and additional octets as needed. Each of the first octet 1002, the second octet 1004, the third octet 1006, and the fourth octet 1008 includes eight bits. The first octet 1002 includes a reserved bit R, a serving cell ID (5 bits), and a BWP ID (2 bits). The second octet 1004 includes an SRS resource set ID 1 (4 bits) and an SRS resource set ID 0 (4 bits). The third octet 1006 includes the first two bits of the six-bit SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 1 and the SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 0 (6 bits). SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 0 corresponds to SRS resource set ID 0. SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 1 corresponds to SRS resource ID 1. The fourth octet 1008 includes four reserved bits R and the remaining 4 bits of SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 1 of six bits.

[0096] Fig.111 is a schematic block diagram of another embodiment of a MAC CE 1100 for updating spatial relationship information of an SRS resource set. The MAC CE 1100 includes a first octet 1102, a second octet 1104, a third octet 1106, a fourth octet 1108, and a fifth octet 1110, as well as additional octets as needed. Each of the first octet 1102, the second octet 1104, the third octet 1106, the fourth octet 1108, and the fifth octet 1110 includes eight bits. The first octet 1102 includes a reserved bit R, a serving cell ID (5 bits), and a BWP ID (2 bits). The second octet 1104 includes 8 ID bits, which are part of a 16-bit bitmap, each bit corresponding to an SRS resource set ID. The third octet 1106 includes 8 additional ID bits, which are part of a 16-bit bitmap. The fourth octet 1108 includes SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 1 (4 bits) and SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 0 (4 bits). SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 0 corresponds to a 16-bit bitmap indicating the first SRS resource set ID to be updated (e.g., "0" in the bitmap indicates that the SRS resource set ID will not be updated, and "1" in the bitmap indicates that the SRS resource set ID is to be updated). SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 1 corresponds to the second SRS resource set ID to be updated indicated by the 16-bit bitmap. The fifth octet 1110 includes SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 3 (4 bits) and SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 2 (4 bits). SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 2 corresponds to a 16-bit bitmap indicating the third SRS resource set ID to be updated. SRS-spatialRelationInfo ID 3 corresponds to a 16-bit bitmap indicating the fourth SRS resource set ID to be updated. The SRS-spatialRelationInfo for the M SRS resource set IDs may be updated as indicated by a 16-bit bitmap.

[0097] In various embodiments, the MAC CE for updating the spatialRelationInfo of individual SRS resources may be reused with additional rules. In such an embodiment, if RRC is used to configure all SRS resources of an SRS resource set to share a common spatialRelationInfo, if any one of the SRS resources within the SRS resource has its spatialRelationInfo updated by RRC reconfiguration or by a MAC CE, the UE may update the spatialRelationInfo of all SRS resources within the set together. In addition, in such an embodiment, the SRS resource may be part of an SRS resource set that uses a non-codebook setting. Rules for applying spatialRelationInfo to other SRS resources in other CCs according to a SimultaenousSpatialRelationCellList may also be used. If configured, SRS resources within an SRS resource set having the same ID as an SRS resource set indicated in a MAC CE for SRS resources contained in other CCs may be updated by the same spatialRelationInfo.

[0098] Fig.12 1 is a schematic flow chart illustrating one embodiment of a method 1200 for updating sounding reference signal spatial relationship information.
