[0036] Figure 1 is a block diagram of an example V2X communication system. In the V2X communication research based on LTE (Long Term Evolution) organized by 3GPP, user-based devices (user equipment) can communicate using V2X communication between direct links / direct links. For example, data can be sent directly from the source UE to the target UE through the air interface (PC5 interface) without being forwarded through the base station and the core network, such as Figure 1 shown.
[0037] With the advancement of communication technology and the development of the automation industry, V2X communication scenarios have been further expanded with higher performance requirements. 3GPP has established a study on vehicle-to-vehicle communication based on the fifth-generation mobile communication technology (5G) advanced V2X service, including vehicle-to-vehicle communication based on 5G air interface and vehicle-to-vehicle communication based on 5G direct link (side link).

[0051] Figure 5An embodiment of sending auxiliary resource selection and providing a configuration in response is shown. Here, UE 502 sends auxiliary resource selection information to UE 504 and receives auxiliary resource selection configuration 506 in response. UE 502 can utilize resource selection configuration 506 to schedule resources.
[0052] In one embodiment, the auxiliary resource selection configuration includes: (a) an indication of whether the resource selection of UE 502 will be scheduled by the base station when no UE is capable of providing auxiliary resource selection, or (b) an indication of whether the resource selection of UE 502 will be determined by itself when no UE is found that is capable of providing auxiliary resource selection, or (c) an indication of whether the resource selection of UE 502 will be determined by itself taking into account the auxiliary resource selection from UE 504. In one embodiment, the auxiliary resource selection configuration is: (1) by priority, or by logical channel, or by DRB / destination, wherein the auxiliary resource selection configuration indicates whether the transmission resources of the service of UE 502 with the specified priority, logical channel, DRB or destination will be determined by the base station or by UE 502 itself or by considering the auxiliary resource selection configuration from UE 504, or (2) by CBR, which indicates that the resource selection of UE 502 is determined by the base station or by UE 502 itself, or by considering the auxiliary resource selection configuration from UE 504, or (3) by resource pool, which indicates whether the resource pool supports the service of UE 502 determined by the base station or by UE 502, or by considering the auxiliary resource selection configuration from UE 504. In yet another embodiment, the UE 502 is configured to select the following resources: (a) resources scheduled by the base station, or (b) resources determined by, or (c) resources selected by the UE 502 taking into account auxiliary resources from the UE 502, where the UE 502 is configured to make the selection. The UE 502 may also be configured to send an indication to the base station to indicate that data is to be scheduled by the base station, or sensed by the first wireless device, or scheduled according to the configuration.
[0053] Figure 6 An embodiment of obtaining secondary resource information and creating a grant is shown. UE 602 receives secondary resource selection information from UE 604 and thereafter creates a resource grant based at least in part on the secondary resource selection information. Prioritization of logical channels is then performed.
[0054] In one embodiment, the resource selection information includes: (a) an index of a time slot in a sensing window determined by an unmonitored sensing parameter, or (b) a resource reservation period received in an SCI and an index of a time slot received by UE 604 in a resource pool, or (c) a priority received in an SCI and an index of a time slot received by UE 604 in a resource pool, or (d) an RSRP measurement result of a single time slot resource in a resource selection window and a position of the time slot in a resource pool.
[0055] The resource selection information may indicate that it may be used directly by the UE 602 or that the UE 602 may use the information through sensing, wherein the UE 602 selects a transmission resource by performing a sensing process using parameters included in the auxiliary resource selection information. The resource selection information may also indicate that it may be used directly by the UE 602 or that the UE 602 may use it for partial sensing, wherein the UE 602 selects a transmission resource by performing a partial sensing process using parameters included in the auxiliary resource selection information. The auxiliary resource selection information may also indicate that it may not be used directly by the UE 602, and if so, the UE 602 selects an interleaved transmission resource between a transmission resource determined by a sensing result based on the auxiliary resource selection information and a sensing result from the UE 602.
[0056] In one embodiment, the auxiliary resource selection information includes a candidate resource set used by the UE 602, and the UE 602 selects the interleaved transmission resource between the transmission resource provided by the auxiliary resource selection message and the sensing result of the UE 602 itself. In one embodiment, if the auxiliary resource selection information includes a candidate resource set that can be used by the UE 602, the UE 602 selects the transmission resource based on the sensing resource of the UE 602 itself.
[0057] UE 602 may also exclude transmission resources from the selected transmission resources in the candidate resource set provided by the auxiliary resource selection information. In yet another embodiment, the auxiliary resource selection information includes information restrictions for a specific priority, logical channel, DRB, or destination, wherein the information restrictions indicate whether the specific priority, logical channel, DRB, or destination can be used, and in one embodiment, the logical channel can only be used if it has the specific priority, or logical channel, or DRB, or destination. In one embodiment, the authorization can only be used or not used by a logical channel that is configured to use a resource pool indicated in the information restriction. In one embodiment, if the CBR of the allowed resource pool of the logical channel is indicated in the information, the authorization can only be used or not used by the logical channel.
[0058] In yet another embodiment, the UE 602 may report the secondary resource selection capability 606 of the UE 604 to the base station 608. In another embodiment, the secondary resource selection configuration may come from the base station, wherein logical channels with a specific priority, logical channel, DRB, destination, resource pool, or CBR are allowed to use the secondary resource selection configuration. In yet another embodiment, the grant may only be used by logical channels with a specific priority, logical channel, DRB, or destination. In yet another embodiment, the grant may only be used by logical channels that are configured to use the resource pool indicated in the information.
[0059] In yet another embodiment, the resource selection capabilities of UE 602 are reported to the base station, and logical channels with specific priorities, logical channels, DRBs, destinations, resource pools, or CBRs are allowed to use the secondary resource selection configuration. In one embodiment, UE 602 selects a unicast, multicast, or broadcast destination with a logical channel with the highest priority or highest MAC CE that is allowed to use the resource grant.
[0060] It can be understood that some parameters need to be configured for one UE for another UE in order to provide the auxiliary resource selection configuration to the other UE. One UE uses the auxiliary resource selection configuration to configure the selection of the response.
[0061] like Figure 7 As shown, as a first step, UE-B sends an auxiliary resource selection configuration to UE-a, and this includes an RSRP configuration, the RSRP configuration having: RSRP configuration, RSRP threshold, an indication to increase RSRP by RSRP step size, an indication to decrease RSRP by RSRP step size, RSRP step size, and a percentage of candidate single-slot resources remaining in the candidate resource set. In one embodiment, the RSRP configuration is configured by priority.
[0062] As a second step, UE-a applies the RSRP configuration, which includes applying a new RSRP threshold, a new RSRP step size, increasing the RSRP threshold by the RSRP step size in the RSRP configuration, decreasing the RSRP threshold by the RSRP step size in the RSRP setting, and applying a new percentage of the remaining candidate single-slot resources in the candidate resource set.
[0063] like Figure 8 As shown, in step 802, UE-B sends an auxiliary resource selection query to UE-A. In step 804, UE-A sends an auxiliary resource selection response to UE-B. In one embodiment, the query can provide information about whether UE-A can provide auxiliary resource selection information for itself, or whether UE-A can provide auxiliary resource information for another UE. In step 902, UE-B broadcasts an auxiliary resource selection request. In step 904, UE-A sends a response message. In step 906, UE-B establishes a unicast connection with UE-a.
[0066] In one embodiment, UE-B multicasts the auxiliary resource selection request in the group of all UE-Bs. In another embodiment, UE-B first checks whether the UE has a unicast link with a UE-B that can provide auxiliary resource selection measurement. If not, UE-B group multicasts the auxiliary resource selection measurement request in the group of all UE-Bs, and if no response is received, UE-A broadcasts the request.

[0069] In one embodiment, UE-B may receive multiple response messages from the UE as it broadcasts its request. In this case, UE-B may select a UE-A to establish a connection with. In one embodiment, the selected UE shall be prioritized according to the following order (highest priority listed first): RRC connected, RRC inactive, or RRC idle. In another embodiment, UE-A shall be prioritized according to the following order (highest priority listed first): sensing, partial sensing. In another embodiment, UE-A shall be prioritized according to the following order (highest priority listed first): within coverage, outside coverage. [0147] It should be understood that this document discloses technologies that can be embodied in various embodiments and configurations. It should be understood that concepts from some embodiments can be used in other embodiments. The disclosed embodiments and other embodiments, methods, and functional operations described in this document can be implemented in digital electronic circuits, or in computer software, firmware, or hardware, including the structures disclosed in this document and their structural equivalents, or in a combination of one or more thereof. The disclosed embodiments and other embodiments can be implemented as one or more computer program products, that is, one or more modules of computer program instructions encoded on a computer-readable medium to be executed by a data processing device or to control the operation of the data processing device. The computer-readable medium can be a machine-readable storage device, a machine-readable storage substrate, a storage device, a material composition that produces a machine-readable propagation signal, or a combination of one or more thereof. The term "data processing device" covers all devices, devices, and machines for processing data, including, for example, a programmable processor, a computer, or multiple processors or computers. In addition to hardware, a device may also include code that creates an execution environment for the computer program in question, for example, code that constitutes a processor firmware, a protocol stack, a database management system, an operating system, or a combination of one or more thereof. A propagated signal is an artificially generated signal, such as a machine-generated electrical, optical, or electromagnetic signal, that is generated to encode information for transmission to suitable receiver equipment.
[0148] A computer program (also referred to as a program, software, software application, script, or code) may be written in any form of programming language (including compiled or interpreted languages) and may be deployed in any form, including as a stand-alone program or as a module, component, subroutine, or other unit suitable for use in a computing environment. A computer program does not necessarily correspond to a file in a file system. A program may be stored as part of a file that holds other programs or data (e.g., one or more scripts stored in a markup language document), in a single file dedicated to the program, or in multiple coordinated files (e.g., files storing one or more modules, subroutines, or portions of code). A computer program may be deployed for execution on a single computer or on multiple computers located at one site or distributed across multiple sites and interconnected by a communications network.
[0149] The processes and logic flows described in this document may be performed by one or more programmable processors executing one or more computer programs to perform functions by operating input data and generating output. These processes and logic flows may also be performed by special purpose logic circuits (e.g., FPGAs (field programmable gate arrays) or ASICs (application specific integrated circuits)), and the device may also be implemented as special purpose logic circuits.
[0150] For example, processors suitable for computer program execution include general and special purpose microprocessors, and any one or more processors of any type of digital computer. Typically, the processor will receive instructions and data from a read-only memory or a random access memory or both. The basic elements of a computer are a processor that executes instructions and one or more memory devices that store instructions and data. Typically, a computer will also include or be operatively coupled to receive data from or transfer data to one or more mass storage devices (e.g., magnetic disks, magneto-optical disks, or optical disks) for storing data, or to receive data from or transfer data to said mass storage devices. However, a computer does not require such a device. Computer-readable media suitable for storing computer program instructions and data include all forms of non-volatile memory, media, and memory devices, including, for example, semiconductor memory devices, such as EPROM, EEPROM, and flash memory devices; magnetic disks, such as internal hard disks or removable disks; magneto-optical disks; and CD ROM and DVD-ROM optical disks. The processor and memory may be supplemented by or incorporated into a dedicated logic circuit.
[0151] Although the patent document contains many details, these details should not be interpreted as limitations on any invention or the scope of protection that can be claimed, but rather as descriptions of features specific to a particular embodiment of a particular invention.
