Fuel Single Pool System and Method for Manufacturing Fuel Single Pool System

Abstract

A fuel single-pool stack has fuel single pools stacked along a stacking direction (z), each fuel single pool being plate-shaped and extending along first and second lateral directions (x, y) respectively when viewed orthogonally to the stacking direction (z), and each having, stacked along the stacking direction (z), the following: a bipolar half-plate on the anode side having a fuel channel structure for guiding fuel; a gas diffusion layer on the anode side; a membrane electrode unit having an electrolyte membrane and electrode layers arranged on both sides of the electrolyte membrane, the electrode layers constituting an anode and a cathode for the electrochemical reaction of fuel and oxidant; a gas diffusion layer on the cathode side; a bipolar half-plate on the cathode side having an oxidant channel structure for guiding oxidant; and end plates at both ends of the stack along the stacking direction (z). According to the invention, a belt receiving portion is mounted laterally to the stack at the end plates, and the belt is mounted through the belt receiving portion such that it tightens the stack.
