Method, device, equipment and medium for wayfinding in virtual world

Abstract

This application discloses a pathfinding method, apparatus, device, and medium in a virtual world, relating to the field of game technology. The method includes: acquiring a navigation grid of a mobile vehicle in a local coordinate system; converting a first starting point of movement of a mobile unit in the world coordinate system into a second starting point of movement in the local coordinate system, and converting a first ending point of movement of the mobile unit in the world coordinate system into a second ending point of movement in the local coordinate system, wherein the mobile unit is on the mobile vehicle; searching on the navigation grid for a local movement path of the mobile unit from the second starting point to the second ending point; and controlling the mobile unit to move based on the state information of the mobile vehicle in the world coordinate system and the local movement path. This method solves the problem of path planning for mobile units on a mobile vehicle even when the mobile vehicle is moving in the world coordinate system.
