Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present application relates to a lower vehicle body structure of a vehicle such as one including a side beam formed with a closed cross section extending in a vehicle front-rear direction outside in a vehicle width direction, and a wheel located in front of the side beam. BACKGROUND

[0002] In general, when a barrier collides with an end portion of a side beam closer to the outside in the vehicle width direction than a front side frame from the front of the vehicle and the front side of the vehicle, that is, in a so-called small overlap collision, an impact load toward the rear and toward the inside in the width direction is input to the front end portion of the side beam because the wheel that has retreated collides with the front end portion of the side beam.

[0003] If the front end portion of the side beam generates a reaction force in the vehicle width direction such as a force that urges the wheel to rebound to the outside in the vehicle width direction against the impact load toward the inside in the width direction input from the wheel, the vehicle can avoid the barrier in the vehicle width direction by rotating the vehicle body, and as a result, excessive reinforcement of the vehicle body can be suppressed, and thus it is preferable.

[0004] In addition, Patent Literature 1 proposes a vehicle side structure including a reinforcement member that reinforces the front end portion of the side beam against a small overlap collision.

[0005] In the vehicle side structure of Patent Literature 1, an outside side beam front end portion of the side beam front end portion located on the outside in the vehicle width direction is provided with an outside reinforcement member 30 that reinforces at least a front side surface and a vehicle width direction outside surface of the outside side beam front end portion.

[0006] However, even if the outside side beam is provided with the outside reinforcement member 30 on the inside in the vehicle width direction, when a load toward the inside in the width direction is input to the front end portion of the side beam, it is displaced to the inside in the vehicle width direction together with the outside reinforcement member 30, and thus a desired reaction force in the width direction can not be obtained.

[0008] PATENT LITERATURE

[0009] Patent Literature 1: Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2015-058749 SUMMARY

[0010] PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED BY THE INVENTION

[0011] The present application is made in view of the above technical problems, and aims to provide a lower vehicle body structure of a vehicle that can suppress collapse of a front end portion of a side beam and obtain a reaction force in the vehicle width direction against an impact load toward the inside in the vehicle width direction input to the front end portion of the side beam at the time of a small overlap collision.

[0012] MEANS OF SOLVING THE PROBLEMS

[0013] The lower body structure of the vehicle of the present application includes: a side sill disposed at a lower portion of the vehicle and at an outer side in a vehicle width direction, and formed by an inner sill disposed at an inner side in the vehicle width direction and an outer sill disposed at an outer side in the vehicle width direction, in cooperation, into a closed cross section extending in a front-rear direction of the vehicle; a wheel disposed at a front side of the outer sill; an outer reinforcement member having a shape along a front side portion and a side portion of a front end portion of the outer sill, and joined to the front end portion from one side of the closed cross section; and an inner reinforcement member linking between the front side portion and the side portion of the front end portion of the inner sill in a cross shape.

[0014] According to the technical solution, when an impact load from the inner side in the vehicle width direction is input to the front end portion of the side sill, the front end portion of the outer sill is displaced toward the inner side in the vehicle width direction while maintaining the shape by the outer reinforcement member.

[0015] Therefore, the load from the inner side in the vehicle width direction is input from the front end portion of the outer sill to the front end portion of the inner sill. Since the inner reinforcement member can suppress the bending deformation between the front side portion and the side portion of the front end portion of the inner sill against the load input from the inner side in the vehicle width direction, the collapse deformation of the front end portion of the side sill toward the inner side in the vehicle width direction can be suppressed, and a reaction force in the vehicle width direction can be generated.

[0016] Therefore, since the vehicle body can be made to avoid an obstacle in the vehicle width direction, excessive reinforcement of the vehicle body can be suppressed.

[0017] As a mode of the present application, it is preferable that an inner longitudinal ridge line extending in the up-down direction be formed at a boundary portion between the front side portion and the side portion of the front end portion of the inner sill, and the inner reinforcement member be provided separately from the inner longitudinal ridge line at a portion thereof extending in the extension direction across the inner longitudinal ridge line toward the inner side of the closed cross section.

[0018] According to the technical solution, the weight of the inner reinforcement member provided between the front side portion and the side portion of the front end portion of the inner sill can be suppressed from increasing, and the bending deformation of the inner longitudinal ridge line can be efficiently suppressed.

[0019] As a mode of the present application, it is preferable that the inner reinforcement member have a reinforcing rib protruding toward the inner side or the outer side of the closed cross section at a portion thereof extending in the extension direction across the inner longitudinal ridge line.

[0020] According to the technical solution, the bending stiffness of the portion of the inner reinforcement member extending in the extension direction across the inner longitudinal ridge line can be improved, and the bending deformation of the inner longitudinal ridge line of the front end portion of the inner sill can be further suppressed.

[0021] As a mode of the present application, it is preferable that the reinforcing rib continuously extend at least at the portion of the inner reinforcement member extending in the extension direction across the inner longitudinal ridge line.

[0022] According to the technical solution, the bending stiffness of the inner side reinforcing member can be improved, and the bending deformation of the inner longitudinal ridge line can be further inhibited.

[0023] As a mode of the present application, it is preferable that the outer side reinforcing member has a protruding portion protruding inward of the closed cross section at a position at the same height as the reinforcing rib of the inner side reinforcing member and in line with the front-rear direction.

[0024] According to the technical solution, when an impact load toward the inner side of the vehicle width direction is input to the front end portion of the side beam, the protruding portion of the outer side reinforcing member displaced toward the inner side of the vehicle width direction can be brought into abutment with the reinforcing rib of the inner side reinforcing member from the outer side of the vehicle width direction according to the input mode.

[0025] Thus, the load transmission portion toward the inner side of the vehicle width direction is continuous between the outer side reinforcing member and the inner side reinforcing member, so the load transmission toward the inner side of the vehicle width direction can be promoted.

[0026] As a mode of the present application, it is preferable that the inner side reinforcing member is formed to have higher strength than the outer side reinforcing member.

[0027] According to the technical solution, when an impact load toward the inner side of the vehicle width direction is input, the strength of the inner side reinforcing member receiving and supporting one side of the outer side reinforcing member displaced toward the inner side of the vehicle width direction is relatively high, so the impact load toward the inner side of the vehicle width direction can be effectively received.

[0028] As a mode of the present application, it is preferable that an inner transverse ridge line reinforcing member reinforcing an inner transverse ridge line extending in the front-rear direction along a boundary portion between an upper side surface portion and a side surface portion of the inner side beam is included, and the inner transverse ridge line reinforcing member extends in the front-rear direction along the inner transverse ridge line and is provided at a position overlapping the inner side reinforcing member in the front-rear direction.

[0029] According to the technical solution, when a rear impact load is input to the front end portion of the side beam due to a small overlap collision, for example, the impact load input to the inner side reinforcing member can be efficiently transmitted rearward of the vehicle by the inner transverse ridge line reinforcing member.

[0030] Effects of the Invention

[0031] According to the technical solution, the front end portion of the side beam can be inhibited from collapsing and a reaction force in the vehicle width direction can be obtained with respect to an impact load toward the inner side of the vehicle width direction input to the front end portion of the side beam at the time of a small overlap collision. [0042] The following describes embodiments of the present invention based on the accompanying drawings.

[0043] Furthermore, the lower body structure 1 of the vehicle in this embodiment has a roughly symmetrical shape, therefore the description is based on the structure of the right side of the lower part of the vehicle. In the figure, arrow F indicates the front of the vehicle, arrow U indicates the top of the vehicle, arrow OUT indicates the outer side in the vehicle width direction (outer side of the cabin), and arrow IN indicates the inner side in the vehicle width direction (cabin side). Additionally, the "×" mark in the figure indicates a spot weld.

[0044] like Figure 1 , Figure 2 As shown, in the lower vehicle body structure 1 of this embodiment, a passageway 2 protruding upward and extending in the front-rear direction is provided at the center of the cabin floor in the vehicle width direction. A plate-shaped floor 3 (see reference) is horizontally arranged on the left and right sides of the passageway 2 on the cabin floor to form the cabin floor.Figure 1 The end portions of the floor 3 on the left and right sides of the bottom surface of the cabin are provided with side sills 10 extending in the front-rear direction. The vehicle-width-direction-outer-end portions of the floor 3 on the left and right sides are joined to the vehicle-width-direction-inner surfaces of the side sills 10 on the left and right sides, respectively. In addition, as shown in Figure 1 , the floor 3 is provided with a floor frame 4 extending in the front-rear direction and a cross sill 5 extending in the vehicle-width direction.

[0045] As shown in Figure 1 , Figure 2 , the front of the vehicle body is provided with a wheel 6 as a front wheel. The wheel 6 is disposed in front of the front end of the side sill 10, and is disposed at a position where at least a portion thereof coincides with the side sill 10 in the vehicle-width direction.

[0046] As shown in Figure 1 , in the present embodiment, the vehicle-width-direction-inner end of the wheel 6 is disposed on the vehicle-width-direction-outer side of the vehicle-width-direction-inner end of the side sill 10, and the wheel 6 is disposed closer to the vehicle-width-direction-outer side than the side sill 10. In addition, the upper half of the wheel 6 is covered by an arched wheel cover, which is not shown in the drawings.

[0047] The front portion of the side sill 10 is joined to the lower portion of a hinge pillar 7 extending in the up-down direction along the front edge of the side door opening of the cabin (refer to the hinge pillar 7 shown by a broken line in Figure 2 ). In addition, the lower portion of the hinge pillar 7, that is, the portion of the hinge pillar 7 joined to the front portion of the side sill 10 is formed in a shape that gradually expands in the front-rear direction as it goes downward.

[0048] The hinge pillar 7 is provided with an inner hinge pillar not shown in the drawings disposed on the vehicle-width-direction-inner side and an outer hinge pillar 7a disposed on the vehicle-width-direction-outer side, and by joining and fixing the above two members, a closed cross section extending continuously in the up-down direction is formed inside, which is not shown in the drawings.

[0049] As shown in Figures 1 to 8 , the side sill 10 is provided with an inner side sill 11 in the shape of a sectional hat open to the vehicle-width-direction-outer side and an outer side sill 21 in the shape of a sectional hat open to the vehicle-width-direction-inner side. As shown in Figures 3 to 8 , in the side sill 10, the inner side sill 11 on the vehicle-width-direction-inner side and the outer side sill 21 on the vehicle-width-direction-outer side cooperate to form a closed cross section 10s extending continuously in the front-rear direction inside.

[0050] Specifically, as shown in Figure 6 , Figure 8As shown, the inner beam 11 has: an inner upper side portion 12 that extends generally horizontally; an upper flange portion 13 that extends upward from the outer edge of the inner upper side portion 12 in the vehicle width direction; an inner side portion 14 that extends downward from the inner edge of the inner upper side portion 12 in the vehicle width direction; an inner lower wall portion 15 that extends outward from the lower edge of the inner side portion 14 in the vehicle width direction; and a lower flange portion 16 that extends downward from the outer edge of the inner lower wall portion 15 in the vehicle width direction.

[0051] like Figure 4 , Figure 8 As shown, the outer beam 21 has: an outer upper side portion 22 that extends generally horizontally; an upper flange portion 23 that extends upward from the outer edge of the outer upper side portion 22 in the vehicle width direction; an outer side portion 24 that extends downward from the outer edge of the outer upper side portion 22 in the vehicle width direction; an outer lower wall portion 25 that extends inward from the lower edge of the outer side portion 24 in the vehicle width direction; and a lower flange portion 26 that extends downward from the inner edge of the outer lower wall portion 25 in the vehicle width direction.

[0052] like Figure 8 As shown, in a cross-sectional view orthogonal to its longitudinal direction, the upper flanges 13 and 23 of the inner beam 11 and the outer beam 21 are joined together by welding or the like, and the lower flanges 16 and 26 are joined together by welding or the like, thereby forming the aforementioned closed cross-section 10s inside the side beam 10.

[0053] like Figures 1 to 6 As shown, the side beam 10 includes: a front end portion 31 extending rearward from the front end of the side beam 10; and a main body portion 41, substantially entirely disposed behind the rear end of the front end portion 31. Figure 2 As shown, the position of the boundary between the front end 31 of the side beam and the main body 41 of the side beam is roughly equivalent to the front-to-back width of the hinge column 7, and in this example, it is roughly equivalent to the middle position in the front-to-back direction of the hinge column 7.

[0054] like Figures 1 to 5 , Figure 9 As shown, the outer beam 21 has a front end portion 27 and a main body portion 28. Figure 1 , Figure 3 , Figure 5 , Figure 6 , Figure 9 As shown, the inner beam 11 has an inner beam front end portion 17 and an inner beam main body portion 18. The outer beam front end portion 27 and the inner beam front end portion 17 form a side beam front end portion 31, and the outer beam main body portion 28 and the inner beam main body portion 18 form a side beam main body portion 41.

[0055] like Figures 3 to 5As shown, at the boundary between the front end portion 27 of the outer beam and the main body portion 28 of the outer beam, the rear flange 32 of the front end portion 27 of the outer beam and the front flange 42 of the main body portion 28 of the outer beam are joined by spot welding or the like, overlapping each other in the thickness direction. In this embodiment, the rear flange 32 of the front end portion 27 of the outer beam joins the front flange 42 of the main body portion 28 of the outer beam from the outside of the closed section 10s (outside the vehicle width direction).

[0056] In addition, such as Figures 1 to 5 As shown, in this embodiment, the outer beam 21 is formed by at least two components, the outer beam front end 27 and the outer beam main body 28, but it may also be formed by a single component that includes the boundary portions of each other and is continuous in the internal front-rear direction.

[0057] On the other hand, such as Figure 1 , Figure 3 , Figure 5 , Figure 6 As shown, the inner beam 11 is formed by a single component, without using different components to form the front end 17 and the main body 18 of the inner beam. However, different components can be used to form the front and rear sides of the boundary portion separated from each other.

[0058] like Figure 1 , Figures 3 to 5 , Figure 9 As shown, the front end portion 27 of the outer beam has: an outer front side portion 271, forming the front wall of the outer beam 21; and an outer front rear portion 272, located behind the outer front side portion 271.

[0059] The outer front side portion 271 and the outer front rear portion 272 are formed into a cross-sectional cap shape that opens inward in the vehicle width direction as described above (see reference). Figure 4 , Figure 8 But if Figure 4 As shown, the outer front side portion 271 is formed in a bowl shape, and its diameter gradually decreases from the front end of the outer front rear portion 272 toward the front, in the vertical direction and the vehicle width direction.

[0060] Specifically, such as Figure 4 As shown, the outer front side portion 271, like the outer front rear portion 272, has an outer upper side portion 22, an upper flange portion 23, an outer side portion 24, an outer lower wall portion 25, and a lower flange portion 26. However, as... Figure 1 , Figures 3 to 5 , Figure 7 , Figure 9 As shown, the outer side portion 24 of the outer front side portion 271 gradually slopes forward from the front end of the outer side portion 24 of the outer front rear portion 272 to the inner end of the outer beam 21 in the vehicle width direction.

[0061] like Figure 2 , Figure 4As shown, the outer upper side portion 22 and outer lower side portion 25 of the outer front side portion 271 gradually slope forward towards the middle portion of the outer beam 21.

[0062] In addition, such as Figure 4 , Figure 7 , Figure 9 As shown, the front end 27 of the outer beam is smooth and continuous in the front-rear direction, and there is no ridge line extending in the vertical direction at the boundary between the rear end of the outer front side portion 271 and the front end of the outer front rear portion 272.

[0063] In addition, in this embodiment, the front end 27 of the outer beam has an outer front side portion 271 and an outer front rear portion 272, but it is not limited to this. It may also not have an outer front rear portion 272 and only have the outer front end 42f (refer to) from the front end 42f of the outer beam body portion 28. Figure 4 , Figure 9 The outer front side portion 271 is formed with its diameter gradually decreasing towards the front.

[0064] Furthermore, as described above, the outer beam main body 28 is formed as a cap-shaped section that opens inward in the vehicle width direction (see above). Figure 4 ).

[0065] like Figure 3 , Figure 4 , Figure 9 As shown, the outer side surface portion 24 of the outer beam main body 28 has an outer protrusion 43 that protrudes inward in the vehicle width direction relative to the periphery at approximately the middle position in the vertical direction. The outer protrusion 43 extends continuously rearward from the front end 42f of the outer beam main body 28.

[0066] like Figure 4 As shown, the outer protrusion 43 has the following on the outer side surface 24 of the outer beam body 28: an upper wall 44 that rises inward in the vehicle width direction relative to the periphery (inside the closed section 10s); a longitudinal wall 45 that extends downward in a longitudinal wall shape from the inner end of the upper wall 44 in the vehicle width direction; and a lower wall 46 that rises inward in the vehicle width direction relative to the periphery to the lower end of the longitudinal wall 45.

[0067] An upper transverse ridge 47 is formed at the boundary between the longitudinal wall portion 45 and the upper wall portion 44 of the outer protrusion 43, extending continuously from the front end 42f of the outer protrusion 43 to the rear along the boundary. A lower transverse ridge 48 is formed at the boundary between the longitudinal wall portion 45 and the lower wall portion 46 of the outer protrusion 43, extending continuously from the front end 42f of the outer protrusion 43 to the rear along the boundary.

[0068] In addition, such as Figure 3 , Figures 5 to 7 ,Figure 9 As shown, the front end portion 17 of the inner beam has: an inner front side portion 171, forming the front wall of the inner beam 11; and an inner front rear portion 172, located behind the inner front side portion 171.

[0069] like Figure 6 As shown, the inner front side portion 171 of the inner side beam 11 is formed as a longitudinal wall extending in the vehicle width direction and vertical direction, while the inner side beam 11 is formed in the entire inner front rear portion 172 and the inner side beam main body portion 18 (see reference). Figure 9 Within the range of ), it is formed into a cross-sectional cap shape that opens outward in the vehicle width direction as described above.

[0070] Specifically, in the inner beam 11, the inner upper side portion 12 extends continuously rearward from the upper end of the inner front side portion 171, the inner side portion 14 extends continuously rearward from the inner end of the inner front side portion 171 in the vehicle width direction, and the inner lower wall portion 15 extends continuously rearward from the lower end of the inner front side portion 171.

[0071] And, as Figure 5 , Figure 6 , Figure 9 As shown, an inner longitudinal ridge 141 extending vertically along the boundary between the inner front side portion 171 and the inner side side portion 14 is formed. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the inner front side portion 171 and the inner front rear portion 172 are formed from independent components and are joined at their boundary by welding or the like, such that their ends overlap in the thickness direction (see reference). Figure 3 , Figure 5 , Figure 6 ).

[0072] In addition, such as Figure 6 , Figure 8 As shown, the inner beam 11 forms an inner transverse ridge 142 that extends in the front-rear direction along the boundary between the inner upper side portion 12 and the inner side portion 14.

[0073] In addition, such as Figures 3 to 7 , Figure 9 As shown, front flange portions 19 and 29 protruding forward are formed at the outer end of the inner front side portion 171 in the vehicle width direction and the inner end of the outer front side portion 271 in the vehicle width direction, respectively. The front flange portions 19 and 29 are joined together by welding or the like in a state where they overlap each other in the vehicle width direction.

[0074] like Figures 3 to 5 , Figures 7 to 9 As shown, the front end portion 27 of the outer beam is provided with an outer reinforcing member 50 to strengthen the front end portion 27 of the outer beam. The outer reinforcing member 50 has a shape along the front end portion 27 of the outer beam.

[0075] Specifically, such as Figure 4As shown, the outer reinforcing member 50 is formed in a bowl shape corresponding to the front end 27 of the bowl-shaped outer beam and has: an outer side reinforcing part 51 along the outer side part 24 of the front end 27 of the outer beam; an outer lower wall reinforcing part 52 along the outer lower wall part 25; and an outer upper wall reinforcing part 53 along the outer upper side part 22.

[0076] The outer reinforcing member 50 is joined to the front end 27 of the outer beam from the inside of the closed section 10s of the side beam 10 by welding or the like, and the outer reinforcing member 50 is substantially the entire overlap of the front end 27 of the outer beam.

[0077] like Figure 4 As shown, the outer reinforcing member 50 is formed in the front end portion 27 of the outer beam over approximately the entire length in the front-rear direction, excluding the front flange portion 29, and the entire rear end portion 54 is located in front of the front end portion 42f of the outer beam body portion 28.

[0078] like Figure 3 , Figures 5 to 9 As shown, the inner beam 11 has an inner reinforcing member 60 and an inner transverse ridge reinforcing member 70 (see reference). Figure 3 , Figure 5 , Figure 6 , Figure 8 ).

[0079] An inner reinforcing member 60 is provided at the front end 17 of the inner beam to reinforce the front end 17 of the inner beam. The inner reinforcing member 60 is joined from the inside of the closed section 10s of the side beam 10 to the inner front side portion 171 and the inner front rear portion 14 of the front end 17 of the inner beam, and the two are connected in a cross shape.

[0080] Specifically, such as Figures 5 to 9 As shown, the inner reinforcing member 60 includes: a front portion 61 of the inner reinforcing member, which extends horizontally in the vehicle width direction and can engage with the inner front side portion 171; a side portion 62 of the inner reinforcing member, which extends horizontally in the front-rear direction and can engage with the inner side portion 14; and a cross portion 63, which extends horizontally from the front end of the side portion 62 of the inner reinforcing member to the inner end of the front portion 61 of the inner reinforcing member in the vehicle width direction, and then extends outward in the vehicle width direction. The portion of the inner reinforcing member 60 that crosses the inner longitudinal ridge line 141 in the extension direction, namely the cross portion 63, is separated from the inner longitudinal ridge line 141 on the inner side of the closed section 10s.

[0081] In this embodiment, the inner reinforcing member 60 is positioned at the same height as the outer reinforcing member 50 and in the same front-rear direction. Thus, the inner reinforcing member 60 and the outer reinforcing member 50 face each other across a closed section 10s.

[0082] The inner side reinforcement member 60 is provided with a reinforcement rib 64 protruding toward the inner side in the vehicle width direction at a position in the vertical direction middle of the inner side reinforcement member 60. As shown in FIG. 6, Figure 5 , Figure 6 , Figure 9 the reinforcement rib 64 is formed at at least the intersection 63 in the extending direction of the inner side reinforcement member 60, and in this example, is continuously formed over the entire length in the extending direction.

[0083] Further, Figure 9 is a horizontal sectional view of the side beam front end portion 31 taken at the height of the reinforcement rib 64.

[0084] The inner side reinforcement member 60 is formed to be higher in strength than the outer side reinforcement member 50.

[0085] In this example, both the inner side reinforcement member 60 and the outer side reinforcement member 50 are formed of an ultra-high tensile steel sheet, but the tensile strength of the outer side reinforcement member 50 is about 590 MPa, while the tensile strength of the inner side reinforcement member 60 is about 980 MPa, and thus the inner side reinforcement member 60 is formed of a material higher in strength than the outer side reinforcement member 50. Also, the plate thickness of the outer side reinforcement member 50 is about 2.0 mm, while the plate thickness of the inner side reinforcement member 60 is about 2.3 mm, and thus the inner side reinforcement member 60 is formed to be thicker in plate thickness than the outer side reinforcement member 50.

[0086] Further, in this example, the inner side reinforcement member 60 is formed of a material higher in strength than the outer side reinforcement member 50 and is formed to be thicker in plate thickness, but is not limited thereto, and for example, both can be formed of a material of the same strength and the inner side reinforcement member 60 can be formed to be thicker in plate thickness than the outer side reinforcement member 50, or can be formed to be the same in plate thickness and the inner side reinforcement member 60 can be formed of a material higher in strength than the outer side reinforcement member 50, so that the inner side reinforcement member 60 is higher in strength than the outer side reinforcement member 50.

[0087] Further, as shown in FIG. 6, Figure 6 , Figure 8 and the like, the above-described inner cross rib reinforcement member 70 extends along the inner cross rib 142 at the boundary between the inner side upper face portion 12 and the inner side side face portion 14. Also, the inner cross rib reinforcement member 70 is provided with an inner side reinforcement upper wall 71 and an inner side reinforcement vertical face 72, and the inner side reinforcement upper wall 71 and the inner side reinforcement vertical face 72 are formed integrally with the inner end of the inner side reinforcement upper wall 71 and the upper end of the inner side reinforcement vertical face 72, respectively, and the cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction is formed in an L shape. The inner cross rib reinforcement member 70 extends continuously in a straight line from the vicinity of the inner front side face portion 171 of the inner side beam 11 to at least the rear of the rear end of the inner side beam front end portion 17. Thus, as shown in FIG. 6, Figure 5 , Figure 6 the front portion of the inner cross rib reinforcement member 70 is provided at a position overlapping the inner side reinforcement member side face portion 62 of the inner side reinforcement member 60 in the front-rear direction.

[0088] The inner lateral rib reinforcing member 70 joins the inner lateral reinforcing upper wall 71 to the inner lateral upper side portion 12 and the inner lateral reinforcing longitudinal wall 72 to the inner lateral side portion 14 at the corner portion of the inner lateral upper side portion 12 and the inner lateral side portion 14 on the inner side of the inner side beam 11, thereby reinforcing the inner lateral rib 142 at the boundary portion of the inner lateral upper side portion 12 and the inner lateral side portion 14.

[0089] Further, as shown in Figure 3 , Figure 4 , Figures 7 to 9 , the front portion of the outer lateral reinforcing member 50 is provided with a front end protruding portion 57 protruding toward the inner side of the closed cross section 10s. The front end protruding portion 57 is provided at the same height and in the front-rear direction coincident position of the reinforcing rib 64 of the inner lateral reinforcing member 60 in the outer lateral reinforcing member 50.

[0090] The front end protruding portion 57 extends in the vehicle width direction and protrudes toward the rear side of the outer front side portion 271 (the inner side of the closed cross section 10s) and the vehicle width direction inner end of the front end protruding portion 57 is located at the vehicle width direction inner end of the outer lateral reinforcing member 50. The front end protruding portion 57 is formed to protrude higher toward the rear side as it goes toward the inner side in the vehicle width direction and the portion between the front end protruding portion 57 and the rear side of the outer front side portion 271 is open toward the inner side in the vehicle width direction.

[0091] As shown in Figure 1 , Figure 2 , the lower body structure 1 of the vehicle of the present embodiment is provided with: a side beam 10 disposed on the outer side in the vehicle width direction of the lower portion of the vehicle; and a wheel 6 located in front of the outer side beam 21.

[0092] In the side beam 10, the inner side beam 11 located on the inner side in the vehicle width direction and the outer side beam 21 located on the outer side in the vehicle width direction cooperatively form a closed cross section 10s extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle (refer to Figure 3 ).

[0093] Further, as shown in Figures 3 to 5 , Figures 7 to 9 , the lower body structure 1 of the vehicle of the present embodiment is provided with an outer lateral reinforcing member 50 joined to the outer side beam front end portion 27 (the front end portion of the outer side beam 21) from the inner side of the closed cross section 10s. The outer lateral reinforcing member 50 has a shape formed along the outer front side portion 271 (front side portion) and the outer side portion 24 (side portion) of the outer side beam front end portion 27.

[0094] Further, as shown in Figure 3 , Figures 5 to 9As shown, the lower vehicle body structure 1 of the vehicle of the present embodiment is provided with an inner side reinforcement member 60 that is joined to the inner side beam front end portion 17 (the front end portion of the inner side beam 11) from the inside of the closed cross section 10s. The inner side reinforcement member 60 links between the inner front side portion 171 (the front side portion) and the inner side portion 14 (the side portion) of the inner side beam front end portion 17 in a cross shape.

[0095] With Figure 10 The effects of the lower vehicle body structure 1 of the vehicle described above will be explained.

[0096] Figure 10 Based on Figure 9 A cross-sectional view showing the results of simulation analysis of the behavior of the side beam front end portion 31 when a small overlap collision occurs in the side beam front end portion 31 is shown.

[0097] In addition, Figure 10 The processes from the initial stage of the collision to the later stage of the collision are shown in the order of (a) to (d) in the time series. The dots in the graph show the image of the stress distribution, and the more concentrated the dots are, the higher the stress (collision energy) is.

[0098] The wheel 6 that retreats at the time of the small overlap collision (in Figure 10 is omitted) collides with the side beam front end portion 31, so that a collision load toward the rear of the vehicle and inside in the vehicle width direction is input to the outer side beam front end portion 27. In the present embodiment, the wheel 6 is disposed at a position closer to the outside in the vehicle width direction with respect to the side beam 10 (i.e., a layout designed to protrude outward with respect to the vehicle body side) (see Figure 1 ), and therefore, as shown in the stress distribution in (a), the collision load from the wheel 6 is mainly input to the outer side beam front end portion 27 of the side beam front end portion 31. Figure 10

[0099] Here, the outer side beam front end portion 27 is provided with the outer side reinforcement member 50, and therefore, as shown in (b), even if the impact load toward the inside in the vehicle width direction is input, it does not substantially collapse, but rather, it tends to displace toward the inside in the vehicle width direction while substantially maintaining the shape. Figure 10

[0100] On the other hand, by the outer side beam front end portion 27 that tends to displace toward the inside in the vehicle width direction, a load toward the inside in the vehicle width direction is input to the inner side beam front end portion 17. As shown in (c), the load toward the inside in the vehicle width direction causes the inner front side portion 171 and the outer front side portion 271 that form the front side of the side beam front end portion 31 to be deformed into an M shape in the plan view and the central portion in the vehicle width direction thereof to protrude toward the inside (rear) of the closed cross section 10s with respect to the inside and outside in the vehicle width direction. Figure 10

[0101] Here, the inner side beam front end portion 17 is provided with the inner side reinforcing member 60 that links the inner front side portion 171 and the inner side portion 14 in a cross shape, so as to Figure 10 (d) shown, the inner side beam front end portion 17 can suppress the crush deformation in the vehicle width direction by the inner side reinforcing member 60. Figure 10 (d) shown, the inner side beam front end portion 17 can suppress the crush deformation in the vehicle width direction by the inner side reinforcing member 60.

[0102] Thus, in the small overlap collision, the side beam front end portion 31 can generate a reaction force in the vehicle width direction that forces the wheel 6 to rebound outward, and the like, against the impact load from the wheel 6 that is input toward the inside in the width direction. Further, the lower vehicle body structure 1 of the vehicle of the present embodiment can cause the vehicle body to dodge the obstacle in the vehicle width direction at the time of the small overlap collision, and can suppress excessive reinforcement of the vehicle body.

[0103] As a mode of the present application, as shown in Figure 3 , Figures 5 to 9 shown, the boundary portion of the inner front side portion 171 and the inner side portion 14 in the inner side beam front end portion 17 is formed with an inner longitudinal ridge line 141 that extends in the up-down direction, and as shown in Figure 7 , Figure 9 shown, the cross portion 63 of the inner side reinforcing member 60 is provided separately from the inner longitudinal ridge line 141 toward the inside of the closed cross section 10s.

[0104] According to this technical solution, the weight increase of the inner side reinforcing member 60 that is provided between the inner front side portion 171 and the inner side portion 14 of the inner side beam front end portion 17 can be suppressed, and the bending deformation of the inner longitudinal ridge line 141 can be efficiently suppressed at the time of the small overlap collision.

[0105] As a mode of the present application, as shown in Figures 5 to 9 shown, at least the cross portion 63 in the extension direction of the inner side reinforcing member 60 has a reinforcing rib 64 that protrudes toward the inside (the outside in the vehicle width direction and the rear) of the closed cross section 10s, so the bending stiffness of the cross portion 63, in particular, in the extension direction of the inner side reinforcing member 60 can be improved, and thus the bending deformation of the inner longitudinal ridge line 141 of the inner side beam front end portion 17 can be further suppressed.

[0106] As a mode of the present application, as shown in Figure 3 , Figure 4 , Figures 7 to 9 shown, the outer side reinforcing member 50 has a front end protruding portion 57 (protruding portion) that protrudes toward the inside (the rear) of the closed cross section 10s at a position that is at the same height as the reinforcing rib 64 of the inner side reinforcing member 60 and coincides in the front-rear direction.

[0107] According to the technical solution, when an impact load toward the vehicle width direction inner side is input to the side beam front end portion 31, depending on the input mode, the front end protruding portion 57 of the outer side reinforcing member 50 that is displaced toward the vehicle width direction inner side is engaged (abuts) with the reinforcing rib 64 of the inner side reinforcing member 60 (for example, the vehicle width direction inner end of the reinforcing rib 64 in the inner side reinforcing member front portion 61) from the vehicle width direction outer side, which is not shown in the drawing.

[0108] Thus, since the load transfer portion that is continuous toward the vehicle width direction inner side is formed between the outer side reinforcing member 50 and the inner side reinforcing member 60, the load transfer toward the vehicle width direction inner side is facilitated.

[0109] As a mode of the present application, the inner side reinforcing member 60 is formed to be higher in strength than the outer side reinforcing member 50.

[0110] According to the technical solution, when an impact load toward the vehicle width direction inner side is input to the side beam front end portion 31, the inner side reinforcing member 60 that receives and supports one side of the outer side reinforcing member 50 that is displaced toward the vehicle width direction inner side is relatively high in strength compared to the outer side reinforcing member 50, so that the impact load toward the vehicle width direction inner side can be effectively received.

[0111] Further, by making the strength of the outer side reinforcing member 50 lower than that of the inner side reinforcing member 60, the increase in material cost and weight can be suppressed compared to when both the outer side reinforcing member 50 and the inner side reinforcing member 60 are high in strength.

[0112] As a mode of the present application, as shown in Figure 3 , Figure 5 , Figure 6 , Figure 8 , an inner cross rib reinforcing member 70 is provided that reinforces the inner cross rib 142 (see Figure 6 , Figure 8 ) that extends in the front-rear direction along the boundary portion between the inner side upper surface portion 12 and the inner side side surface portion 14 of the inner side beam 11, and as shown in Figure 5 , Figure 6 , the inner cross rib reinforcing member 70 extends in the front-rear direction along the inner cross rib 142 and is provided at a position that overlaps the inner side reinforcing member 60 in the front-rear direction.

[0113] According to the technical solution, when a rear impact load is input to the side beam front end portion 31, the impact load toward the rear of the vehicle that is input to the inner side reinforcing member 60 can be efficiently transferred toward the rear of the vehicle by the inner cross rib reinforcing member 70.

[0114] The present application is not limited to the technical solutions of the above-described embodiments, and can be formed in various modes of implementation.
