A method for determining a valley irregularity coefficient

Abstract

The present application belongs to the technical field of river surveying and mapping, and discloses a method for determining the irregularity coefficient of a river valley, which comprises the following steps: 1. determining a river valley section map, and determining the valley bottom width, valley shoulder distance and center line of the river valley according to the river valley section map; 2. obtaining the vertical distance between the center point of the river valley and the center line on the river valley section map; and 3. determining the irregularity coefficient of the river valley according to the valley shoulder distance, valley bottom width and vertical distance. The present method can consider the regularity of the entire section by layering the river valley and determining the distance between the center point of each layer and the center line of the river valley. The present method can consider the influence of the width of the river valley on the irregularity coefficient, and the influence of the average distance between the center point of each layer and the center line of the river valley is smaller when the river valley is wider. The traditional width-height ratio parameter cannot reflect the regularity of the river valley, and the present method can directly evaluate whether the river valley belongs to an irregular river valley.
