By feeding rats a high-fat, high-sugar diet in a humid environment and administering baijiu (Chinese liquor) via gavage, combined with a stainless steel pin penetrating the anal sphincter, a wet-heat-induced anal fistula model independent of DSS and LPS was constructed. This solved the problems of large discrepancies between the model and clinical practice and drug side effects in existing technologies, and achieved an anal fistula simulation consistent with clinical practice.

Abstract
This invention provides a method for constructing a rat model of damp-heat-induced anal fistula. Specifically, in a damp-heat environment, rats are fed a high-fat, high-sugar diet and baijiu (a type of Chinese liquor), while stainless steel pins are loosely attached to the perianal area to form a perianal fistula, thus obtaining a rat model of damp-heat-induced anal fistula. This method fills the gap in animal models of damp-heat-induced anal fistula, employing a combined approach of disease and syndrome differentiation to create the model, providing reliable model support for the treatment and mechanistic exploration of the most common TCM syndrome types of anal fistula in clinical practice.
