[0046] The use of "adapted to" or "configured to" herein is intended to be open and inclusive language that does not exclude devices adapted or configured to perform additional tasks or steps.

[0047] Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a projection system 1 .

[0048] FIG1 is a structural diagram of a projection system according to some embodiments.

[0049] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 1 , a projection system 1 includes a projection device 100 and a projection screen 200 .

[0050] FIG2 is a structural diagram of a projection device according to some embodiments.

[0051] As shown in FIG2 , the projection device 100 includes a housing 40 (only a portion of the housing 40 is shown in FIG2 ), a light source 10 assembled in the housing 40, an optical engine 20, and a lens 30. The light source 10 is configured to provide an illumination beam (a laser beam). The optical engine 20 is configured to modulate the illumination beam provided by the light source 10 using an image signal to obtain a projection beam. The lens 30 is configured to project the projection beam onto a screen or wall to form an image.

[0052] The light source 10, optical engine 20, and lens 30 are sequentially connected along the beam propagation direction and each is enclosed by a corresponding housing. The housings of the light source 10, optical engine 20, and lens 30 support the corresponding optical components and ensure that each optical component meets certain sealing or airtight requirements.

[0053] FIG3 is a light path diagram of a light source, an optical engine, and a lens in a projection device according to some embodiments.

[0054] As shown in Figure 3, one end of the optical engine 20 is connected to the light source 10, and the light source 10 and the optical engine 20 are arranged along the exit direction of the illumination beam of the projection device 100 (refer to the M direction in Figure 3). The other end of the optical engine 20 is connected to the lens 30, and the optical engine 20 and the lens 30 are arranged along the exit direction of the projection beam of the projection device 100 (refer to the N direction in Figure 3). The exit direction M of the illumination beam is approximately perpendicular to the exit direction N of the projection beam. This connection structure can not only adapt to the optical path characteristics of the reflective light valve in the optical engine 20, but also help shorten the length of the optical path in one dimension, which is beneficial for the structural layout of the entire device. For example, when the light source 10, the optical engine 20, and the lens 30 are arranged in a single dimension (for example, the M direction), the length of the optical path in this dimension will be very long, which is not conducive to the structural layout of the entire device. The reflective light valve will be described later.

[0055] In some embodiments, light source 10 can sequentially provide three primary colors (or additional colors in addition to the three primary colors). Due to the persistence of vision phenomenon, the human eye perceives white light as a mixture of the three primary colors. Alternatively, light source 10 can simultaneously output the three primary colors, continuously emitting white light. Alternatively, projection device 100 can use a monochromatic light source in conjunction with a fluorescent wheel for time-sharing display.

[0056] In some embodiments, the light source 10 includes a light emitting diode (LED), an electroluminescence (EL) device, a laser, etc. Lasers are widely used as the light source of the projection device 100 because the laser beam emitted by the laser has good monochromaticity, high color purity, high brightness, and good directionality.

[0057] It should be noted that a projection device 100 using a laser as its light source 10 can be referred to as a laser projection device. When a laser projection device uses a red laser, a green laser, and a blue laser as its light source, the red laser emits a red laser beam, the green laser emits a green laser beam, and the blue laser emits a blue laser beam. The laser projection device uses three-color laser beams to display images, achieving a larger color gamut and better color expression.

[0058] FIG. 4 is another optical path diagram of a light source, an optical engine, and a lens in a projection device according to some embodiments.

[0059] The illumination beam emitted by the light source 10 enters the optical engine 20. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the optical engine 20 includes a light pipe 210, a reflector 220, a lens assembly 230, a prism assembly 240, and a light valve 250. The light pipe 210 can receive the illumination beam provided by the light source 10 and homogenize the illumination beam. In addition, the outlet of the light pipe 210 can be rectangular, thereby having a shaping effect on the light spot. The reflector 220 can reflect the illumination beam to the lens assembly 230. The lens assembly 230 can converge the illumination beam to the prism assembly 240. The prism assembly 240 reflects the illumination beam to the light valve 250, which modulates the illumination beam to obtain a projection beam and reflects the projection beam to the lens 30. Of course, the light pipe 210 can also be replaced by a fly-eye lens or other components with light homogenization function, and this disclosure is not limited to this.

[0060] In the optical engine 20, the light valve 250 uses the image signal to modulate the illumination light beam provided by the light source 10, that is, to control the projection light beam to display different brightness and grayscale for different pixels of the image to be displayed, so as to ultimately form an optical image. Depending on whether the light valve 250 transmits or reflects the illumination light beam, the light modulator can be divided into a transmissive light modulator or a reflective light modulator. For example, the digital micromirror device (DMD) 250A shown in Figure 4 reflects the illumination light beam and is a reflective light modulator. The liquid crystal light valve transmits the illumination light beam and is therefore a transmissive light modulator. In addition, depending on the number of light modulators used in the optical engine 20, the optical engine 20 can be divided into a single-chip system, a two-chip system, or a three-chip system. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the light valve 250 is a digital micromirror device 250A.

[0061] FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating an arrangement of tiny reflective mirrors in a digital micromirror device according to some embodiments.

[0062] As shown in FIG5 , the digital micromirror device 250A includes thousands of individually driven micro-mirrors 2501 that can be rotated. These micro-mirrors 2501 are arranged in an array, with one micro-mirror 2501 (e.g., each micro-mirror 2501) corresponding to one pixel in the projected image to be displayed. After processing, the image signal can be converted into digital codes such as 0 and 1. In response to these digital codes, the micro-mirrors 2501 can swing. The duration of each micro-mirror 2501 in the on and off states is controlled to achieve the grayscale of each pixel in a frame of image. In this way, the digital micro-mirror device 250A can modulate the illumination beam to display the projected image. The on state of the micro-mirror 2501 is the state that the micro-mirror 2501 is in and can maintain when the illumination beam emitted by the light source 10 is reflected by the micro-mirror 2501 and can enter the lens 30. The off state of the micro-reflective lens 2501 is the state that the micro-reflective lens 2501 is in and can maintain when the illumination light beam emitted by the light source 10 does not enter the lens 30 after being reflected by the micro-reflective lens 2501 .

[0063] The light pipe 210, reflector 220 and lens assembly 230 at the front end of the DMD 250A form an illumination light path. The illumination light beam emitted by the light source 10 passes through the illumination light path to form a beam size and incident angle that meet the requirements of the DMD 250A.

[0064] Projection device 100 and projection screen 200 are spaced apart, and projection screen 200 is configured to receive the projection beam emitted by projection device 100 for image display. For example, projection screen 200 can be a curtain, a wall, a car's windshield, an exhibition cabinet window, etc. This disclosure is not limited to this.

[0065] The following description takes the projection device 100 as a laser projection device, the laser projection device adopts red, green and blue lasers as the light source 10 , and the light valve in the laser projection device adopts a DMD as an example.

[0066] FIG6 is a color coordinate diagram of a projection device according to some embodiments.

[0067] In the case where the projection device 100 uses a three-color laser as the light source 10, when the projection device 100 displays an image, the size of the color gamut that the projection device 100 can display is related to the wavelengths of the red laser beam, the green laser beam, and the blue laser beam emitted by the light source 10. Since the half-peak width of the wavelength of the laser beam emitted by the laser is narrow and the color purity is high, as shown in Figure 8, the color gamut when the projection device 100 displays the image (such as the area of the triangle surrounded by the dotted line corresponding to the projection device 100 in Figure 6) is greater than the maximum color gamut defined by the color gamut standard (such as the area of the triangle surrounded by the dotted line corresponding to BT2020 in Figure 6). In this way, the image displayed by the projection device 100 can meet the user's demand for a large color gamut picture.

[0068] FIG. 7 is another structural diagram of a projection device according to some embodiments.

[0069] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 7 , the projection device 100 further includes a first controller 11 and a second controller 12 .

[0070] The light valve 250 is located on the light-emitting side of the light source 10, and the lens 30 is located in the optical path of the projection beam emitted from the light valve 250 to project the projection beam into an image. The first controller 11 is electrically connected to the second controller 12. The first controller 11 is configured to process received image data and send the processed image data and corresponding instructions to the second controller 12. The second controller 12 is electrically connected to the light valve 250 and configured to drive the light valve 250 to display an image.

[0071] When the projection device 100 displays an image, the first controller 11 receives and decodes the image data. For example, the first controller 11 decodes the received image data into a low-voltage differential signal (LVDS). The first controller 11 sends the decoded image data to the second controller 12. The second controller 12 receives and processes the decoded image data into a drive signal, and drives the light valve 250 according to the drive signal to display the image.

[0072] The first controller 11 has a color gamut conversion function. For example, after receiving image data, the first controller 11 performs color gamut conversion based on the image mode currently set for the projection device 100. For example, if the image mode currently set for the projection device 100 is the first image mode, then after receiving the image data, the first controller 11 converts the color gamut of the displayed image to the color gamut corresponding to the first image mode. The first image mode will be described below.

[0073] The images displayed by the projection device 100 include a first image and a second image, wherein the first image is a multimedia image and the second image is a menu image.

[0074] The image data received by the first controller 11 includes at least one of first data and second data. The first data refers to multimedia data used to display the first image. For example, the first data includes High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) video data. The first data can be input to the first controller 11 via a network, an antenna, a closed-circuit television, a memory card, or the like. The second data is menu data used to display the second image. The second data can be generated by an image generator within the projection device 100. The image generator is used to generate image data.

[0075] However, the first controller 11 only performs color gamut conversion on the first data. When the first controller 11 receives the second data, the first controller 11 cannot perform color gamut conversion, and the projection device 100 uses the color gamut preset by the projection device 100 to display the second image. The color gamut preset by the projection device 100 can be BT2020 or the color gamut of the projection device 100 itself. It should be noted that when the projection device is provided with multiple color gamuts, the color gamut preset by the projection device 100 is the maximum color gamut. It should be noted that the first controller 11 is a system-on-chip (SOC) in the projection device 100, and the second controller 12 is a chip for controlling the light valve 250 in the digital light processing (DLP) system.

[0076] In some embodiments, the projection device 100 can be configured with multiple image modes. For example, the projection device 100 can be configured with a first image mode and a second image mode. The color gamut corresponding to the first image mode is a first preset color gamut. The color gamut corresponding to the second image mode is a second preset color gamut. The first preset color gamut is smaller than the second preset color gamut. Thus, images displayed by the projection device 100 using the second preset color gamut are more vivid than images displayed using the first preset color gamut. Therefore, the first image mode is also referred to as the standard image mode, and the second image mode is also referred to as the vivid image mode.

[0077] For example, the first preset color gamut meets the color gamut standard (such as Rec.709 or DCI-P3, etc.). The second preset color gamut meets BT2020 or the color gamut of the projection device 100 itself. It should be noted that the projection device 100 adopts the first image mode by default to display the first image, and during the display of the first image, the user can select a different image mode. However, since the second image is a signal generated by the projection device 100, the projection device 100 adopts the color gamut preset by the projection device 100 to display the second image by default. However, the color gamut preset by the projection device 100 is larger, so the color of the projection device 100 when displaying the second image is unnatural, which affects the display effect.

[0078] Figure 8 is a schematic diagram of a projection device displaying a first image according to some embodiments. Figure 9 is a schematic diagram of a second interface according to some embodiments. Figure 10 is a schematic diagram of a projection device displaying a first image and a second image simultaneously according to some embodiments.

[0079] In some embodiments, the display screen of the projection device 100 includes at least one of a first interface and a second interface. The first interface serves as the display area for the first image. The second interface serves as the display area for the second image. For example, while a user is watching a film or TV program, as shown in FIG8 , the entire display screen of the projection device 100 serves as the first interface to display the first image. In some embodiments, as shown in FIG9 , the second interface can be used to display an interface for setting system parameters of the projection device 100. For example, when a user is watching a film or TV program and needs to set the system parameters of the projection device 100, the user can send a command through an external device to call up the second interface. The second interface is displayed simultaneously with the first interface, and parameter information of the projection device 100 is displayed on the second interface, so that the user can set the system parameters while watching the first image. The system parameters may include the size, resolution, brightness, contrast, and signal source of the display screen.

[0080] For example, as shown in FIG10 , when the projection device 100 is playing a first image (such as the image displayed in the area outside the rectangular area surrounded by endpoints A, B, C, and D in FIG10 ), a second image may also be displayed in a partial area of the display screen (such as the rectangular area surrounded by vertices A, B, C, and D in FIG10 ). Here, the rectangular area surrounded by vertices A, B, C, and D in FIG10 is the second interface, and the area outside the rectangular area surrounded by vertices A, B, C, and D in FIG10 is the first interface.

[0081] Figure 11 is another schematic diagram of a projection device displaying a first image and a second image simultaneously according to some embodiments. Figure 12 is another schematic diagram of a second interface according to some embodiments. Figure 13 is another schematic diagram of a projection device displaying a first image and a second image simultaneously according to some embodiments.

[0082] In some embodiments, the second interface can be used to display a background image when the first image is played. For example, as shown in Figure 11, when a user is watching a film or TV program in full screen, the user sends a first exit instruction through an external device to exit full screen display. The second image can fill the background area that appears after the first image exits full screen display (such as the area outside the rectangular area enclosed by vertices E, F, G, and H in Figure 11) and serve as the background of the first image (such as the image displayed in the rectangular area enclosed by vertices E, F, G, and H in Figure 11).

[0083] In some embodiments, the second interface can be used to display the main menu interface. As shown in Figure 12, the main menu interface displays information such as film and television programs, and the user can select the movies and TV series they want to watch, or search for the film and television programs they want to watch. After the user finds the corresponding film and television program, a preview instruction can be sent through an external device to preview the content of the film and television program in the form of a small window playback, and the user can continue to search for other programs on the main menu interface during the preview process. As shown in Figure 13, when the projection device 100 displays the second image (the image displayed in the area outside the rectangular area surrounded by vertices E, vertex F, vertex G, and vertex H in Figure 13), it can also play the first image (the image displayed in the rectangular area surrounded by vertices E, vertex F, vertex G, and vertex H in Figure 13) on the first interface.

[0084] The foregoing mainly describes the example of the projection device 100 simultaneously displaying the first image and the second image in various scenarios. Of course, the projection device 100 can also simultaneously display the first image and the second image under other conditions, and this disclosure does not limit this.

[0085] Typically, when a projection device displays an image, it needs to perform color gamut conversion based on the content of the image being displayed, so that the color gamut matches the color range of the image. Projection devices primarily perform color gamut conversion on multimedia signals. In some non-multimedia video display scenarios, projection devices do not perform color gamut conversion. For example, the projection device does not perform color gamut conversion on menu images, which are displayed using the projection device's inherent color gamut. In this case, when the projection device displays a second image or simultaneously displays a multimedia image and a menu image, the color gamuts of the multimedia image and the menu image are inconsistent, resulting in inconsistent image colors and a poor display quality. Furthermore, because the first controller 11 only performs color gamut conversion on the first data and is unable to perform color gamut conversion on the second data, and the second image contains fewer colors, when the second image is displayed using the color gamut preset by the projection device 100, any of the colors contained in the second image have a deeper depth, causing greater visual stimulation. This is particularly true when displaying visually sensitive colors (e.g., red), resulting in unnatural colors when the projection device 100 displays the second interface.

[0086] In order to solve the above problems, some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a display method, which is applied to the above-mentioned projection device 100.

[0087] FIG14 is a flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0088] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG14 , the method includes steps 101 to 103 .

[0089] In step 101 , the first controller 11 receives image data.

[0090] In step 102 , the first controller 11 identifies second data in the received image data and sends the image data to the second controller 12 .

[0091] In some embodiments, the first controller 11 can identify the type of image data (e.g., first data or second data) in the received image data in a variety of ways. For example, when the first data and the second data are respectively input to the first controller 11 through the same interface, the specific identifier of the first data and the specific identifier of the second data are different. In this way, the first controller 11 identifies the type of image data through different specific identifiers; or, when the first data and the second data are input to the first controller 11 through two different interfaces, the first controller 11 determines the type of image data according to the interface of the input image data. Of course, the first controller 11 can also identify the type of image data in other ways, which is not limited in this disclosure. Since the first controller 11 cannot perform color gamut conversion on the second data, when the first controller 11 identifies the second data in the image data, the first controller 11 sends the image data to the second controller 12, and the image data includes a first notification message, and the first notification message is used to instruct the second controller 12 to perform color gamut conversion.

[0092] In step 103 , the second controller 12 processes the image data using the first preset color gamut in response to the first notification information, and drives the light valve 250 to display the second image.

[0093] After receiving the first notification, the second controller 12 processes the image data using the first preset color gamut in response to the first notification, and drives the light valve 250 to display the second image so that the color gamut of the displayed second image satisfies the first preset color gamut. The first preset color gamut is smaller than the color gamut preset by the projection device 100.

[0094] It should be noted that the image data may include the first notification information, or the first notification information may also be a separate instruction or information, which is not limited in the present disclosure.

[0095] It should be noted that when the projection device 100 displays an image, the projection device 100 can automatically execute steps 101 to 103. For example, when the first controller 11 recognizes the second data, it immediately sends the image data and the first notification information to the second controller 12. After receiving the image data and the first notification information, the second controller 12 processes the image data using the first preset color gamut and drives the light valve 250 to display the second image.

[0096] In some embodiments, the first preset color gamut satisfies Rec.709 and DCP-P3, and the preset color gamut of the projection device 100 satisfies BT2020 or the color gamut of the projection device itself.

[0097] In some embodiments, the first preset color gamut may be a debugged color gamut. The debugged color gamut is debugged based on the display performance of the projection device 100 to achieve a better display effect. When the first preset color gamut is used to display the second image, the colors of the second image are closer to the colors of the color gamut standard. This avoids the problem of unnatural colors that would occur when the second image is displayed directly using the preset color gamut of the projection device 100.

[0098] FIG15 is another flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0099] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 15 , step 101 includes step 1010 .

[0100] In step 1010 , the first controller 11 receives image data and decodes the first data in the image data.

[0101] FIG16 is another flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0102] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 16 , step 102 includes step 1020 .

[0103] In step 1020 , the first controller 11 identifies the second data in the received image data, and sends the image data and the first notification information to the second controller 12 .

[0104] After receiving the image data, the first controller 11 needs to send the image data to the second controller 12 so that the second controller 12 processes the image data into a drive signal. The second controller 12 uses the drive signal to drive the light valve 250 to display the image. However, the second controller 12 cannot directly process the first data in the image data. Therefore, the first controller 11 must first decode the first data in the received image data and then send the decoded first data to the second controller 12. For example, after receiving the first data in the image data, the first controller 11 decodes the first data in the image data into LVDS data and sends the LVDS data and first notification information to the second controller 12.

[0105] FIG17 is another flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0106] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG17 , the method includes steps 201 to 202 .

[0107] In step 201 , the first controller 11 identifies second data in the received image data and sends the image data and a first conversion instruction to the second controller 12 .

[0108] The first notification information includes a first conversion instruction. The first conversion instruction instructs the second controller 12 to convert the color gamut of the displayed image to the first preset color gamut. For example, when the first controller 11 recognizes the second data in the received image data, the first controller 11 generates the first conversion instruction and sends the decoded image data and the first conversion instruction to the second controller 12.

[0109] In step 202 , the second controller 12 responds to the first conversion instruction, processes the image data using the first preset color gamut, and drives the light valve 250 to display the second image.

[0110] For example, the second controller 12 processes the image data using the first preset color gamut according to the first conversion instruction.

[0111] FIG18 is another flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0112] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG18 , the method includes steps 301 to 302 .

[0113] In step 301 , the first controller 11 identifies second data in the received image data and sends an image data type message to the second controller 12 .

[0114] For example, when the first controller 11 identifies the second data in the received image data, the first controller 11 sends a first notification message to the second controller 12. The first notification message includes an image data type message. The image data type message indicates that the image data currently being processed is the second data. The first controller 11 sends the decoded image data and the image data type message to the second controller 12.

[0115] In step 302 , the second controller 12 determines that the current image data is second data according to the image data type message, processes the image data using the first preset color gamut, and drives the light valve 250 to display the image.

[0116] For example, after receiving the image data and image data type message, the second controller 12 determines that the current image data is the second data according to the image data type message, processes the image data using the first preset color gamut, and drives the light valve 250 to display the image.

[0117] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the display method may include steps 201 to 202, or steps 301 to 302. When the first controller 11 identifies the second data in the received image data, the first controller 11 may generate a first conversion instruction, and the second controller 12 may perform color gamut conversion according to the first conversion instruction, or the first controller 11 may send the image data type message to the second controller 12, and the second controller 12 may perform color gamut conversion after determining that the image data is the second data. This disclosure is not limited to this.

[0118] FIG19 is another flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0119] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 19 , step 103 includes steps 1031 to 1032 .

[0120] In step 1031 , the second controller 12 processes the received image data into the driving signal using the first preset color gamut in response to the first notification information.

[0121] After receiving the image data decoded by the first controller 11, the second controller 12 needs to process the received image data into the driving signal. For example, when the first controller 11 recognizes the second data in the received image data, the first controller 11 decodes the image data and sends the decoded image data and the first notification information to the second controller 12. The second controller 12 receives the decoded image data and the first notification information, and in response to the first notification information, processes the received image data into the driving signal using the first preset color gamut.

[0122] In step 1032 , the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 according to the driving signal to display an image.

[0123] The second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 based on the drive signal so that the color gamut of the displayed second image satisfies the first preset color gamut. It should be noted that the first preset color gamut information and image data parsing rules may be pre-stored in the second controller 12. The first preset color gamut information matches the first preset color gamut, and the image data parsing rules may be pre-set. For example, the first preset color gamut information and the image data parsing rules may be pre-stored in the second controller 12 in an encoded manner. After receiving the first notification information, the second controller 12 processes the received image data into the drive signal based on the first preset color gamut information and the image data parsing rules.

[0124] In some embodiments, the first preset color gamut information includes the red, green, and blue coordinate values of the first preset color gamut. For example, after receiving the first notification information, the second controller 12 processes the image data based on the red, green, and blue coordinate values of the first preset color gamut and the mapping relationship between the first preset color gamut and the third preset color gamut to obtain a corresponding drive signal. In this way, the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 according to the drive signal to display the second image, ensuring that the color gamut meets the first preset color gamut, thereby avoiding unnatural colors when displaying the second image.

[0125] FIG20 is another flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0126] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 20 , after step 1010 , the method includes steps 401 to 403 .

[0127] In step 401 , when the first controller 11 determines that the received image data is first data, the first controller 11 sends the decoded image data to the second controller 12 .

[0128] For example, the first controller 11 receives image data and decodes the image data. If the first controller 11 determines that the received image data is first data, the first controller 11 has already completed color gamut conversion during the decoding process of the image signal, and the second controller 12 does not need to perform color gamut conversion. In this case, the first controller 11 sends the decoded image data to the second controller 12.

[0129] In step 402 , the second controller 12 processes the received image data into a driving signal.

[0130] In step 403 , the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 to display the first image according to the driving signal.

[0131] The second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 to display the first image according to the driving signal, so that the color gamut of the first image display satisfies the color gamut corresponding to the image mode currently set by the projection device 100.

[0132] The display method provided in some embodiments of the present disclosure can be applied during the power-on process of the projection device 100, or during the switching process between the second image and the first image of the projection device 100. During the power-on process of the projection device 100 or the switching process between the second image and the first image, the projection device 100 applying this method can automatically perform color gamut conversion based on the type of recognized image data to improve the display effect.

[0133] The following description will be made by taking the switching between the second image and the first image by the projection device 100 as an example.

[0134] FIG21 is a schematic diagram of buttons of a remote control device according to some embodiments.

[0135] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG21 , the projection system 1 further includes a remote control device 60. The remote control device 60 includes a remote control device button 601. The remote control device button 601 includes a first button and a second button. The first button may be the main menu button in FIG21 , and the second button may be the confirm full screen button in FIG21 .

[0136] After pressing the first button, the remote control device 60 sends a second exit command to the projection device 100. After receiving the command, the projection device 100 displays the first video and displays the main menu interface in full screen. After pressing the second button, the remote control device 60 sends a third exit command to the projection device 100. After receiving the third exit command, the projection device 100 exits the main menu interface and displays the playback interface of the first video in full screen.

[0137] For example, when a user is watching a multimedia video, after the user presses the first button of the remote control device button 601, the remote control device 60 sends a second exit instruction to the projection device 100, controlling the projection device 100 to exit the display of the first video and display the main menu interface in full screen. In this case, the image data received by the first controller 11 switches from the first data to the second data. The main menu interface can display information such as film and television programs (as shown in FIG12), and the user can select film and television programs such as movies or TV series by using the remote control device button 601 (such as the four buttons surrounding the full screen confirmation button in FIG21).

[0138] For another example, the user confirms the film or television program by pressing the second button of the remote control device button 601 on the remote control device 60. In this case, the remote control device 60 sends a third exit instruction to the projection device 100, controls the projection device 100 to exit the main menu interface, and displays the playback interface of the first video in full screen. The user can watch the first video through this interface. In this case, the image data received by the first controller 11 is switched from the second data to the first data.

[0139] It should be noted that the foregoing merely provides examples of the naming and functions of the remote control device buttons 601 , and the present disclosure does not limit the functions of the laser projection device 100 and the functions of the remote control device buttons 601 .

[0140] FIG. 22 is a flowchart of a color gamut conversion process when first data and second data are switched between each other according to some embodiments.

[0141] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 22 , when the projection device 100 is controlling the remote control device 60 to switch between the first data and the second data during the image display process of the projection device 100 , the method includes steps 501 to 507 .

[0142] In step 501 , the first controller 11 receives image data and decodes the image data.

[0143] When the projection device 100 displays a multimedia image (a first image), the first controller 11 receives image data and decodes the image data.

[0144] Afterward, the user presses the first button on remote control device 60, which sends a second exit command to projection device 100. Upon receiving this command, projection device 100 exits display of the first video and displays the main menu interface in full screen. The image data switches from the first data to the second data. In this case, projection device 100 executes steps 502 to 504.

[0145] In step 502 , the first controller 11 identifies second data in the received image data, and sends the second data and first notification information to the second controller 12 .

[0146] The first notification information includes a conversion instruction or the image data type information. The conversion instruction includes the first conversion instruction and the second conversion instruction. The second conversion instruction will be described below.

[0147] In step 503 , the second controller 12 responds to the first notification information and processes the received image data into a driving signal using a first preset color gamut.

[0148] After receiving the decoded image data and the first notification information, the second controller 12 responds to the first notification information and processes the received image data into a driving signal using the first preset color gamut according to the pre-stored first preset color gamut information and the image data parsing rules.

[0149] In step 504 , the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 to display a second image according to the driving signal.

[0150] After the second controller 12 completes processing the image data, it drives the light valve 250 according to the drive signal to display the second image. When the user presses the second button on the remote control device 60, the remote control device 60 sends a third exit command to the projection device 100. Upon receiving this command, the projection device 100 exits the main menu interface and displays the first video playback interface in full screen. The image data switches from the second data to the first data. In this case, after step 501, the laser projection device 100 executes steps 505 to 507.

[0151] In step 505 , when the first controller 11 determines that the received image data is the first data, it sends the decoded image data to the second controller 12 .

[0152] When determining that the received image data is the first data, the first controller 11 automatically performs color gamut conversion and sends the decoded image data to the second controller 12 .

[0153] In step 506 , the second controller 12 processes the received image data into a driving signal.

[0154] In step 507 , the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 to display the first image according to the driving signal.

[0155] The foregoing mainly uses sending instructions through the remote control device 60 to illustrate the switching between the first data and the second data as an example. Of course, in some embodiments, the switching between the first data and the second data can also be achieved through other methods, which is not limited in this disclosure.

[0156] When the projection device 100 is turned on, it typically enters the main menu interface. Therefore, during the startup of the projection device 200, the projection device 100 can perform color gamut conversion to adjust the color gamut of the second image to the viewing habits of the human eye. When the user selects a multimedia video to be viewed on the main menu interface, the projection device 100 switches from the second data to the first data.

[0157] In some embodiments, the user may select different image modes to display the second image according to his or her preferences. Different image modes correspond to different color gamuts.

[0158] FIG23 is another flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0159] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 23 , the method further includes steps 601 to 605 .

[0160] In step 601, while the projection device 100 is displaying the second image, the first controller 11, upon receiving an image mode switching instruction, determines the target image mode. If the target image mode is the first image mode, the projection device 100 executes steps 602 and 603. If the second target image mode is the second image mode, the projection device 100 executes steps 604 and 605.

[0161] The target image mode is the image mode selected by the user. For example, while the projection device 100 is displaying the second image, the user can send an image mode switching instruction to the first controller 11 via an external device (such as the remote control device 60 or a button on the projection device 100), thereby controlling the projection device 100 to display the second image in the user-selected image mode. The image mode switching instruction is used to instruct the projection device 100 to switch image modes.

[0162] In step 602 , the first controller 11 sends the first conversion instruction to the second controller 12 .

[0163] When the first controller 11 determines that the target image mode is the first image mode, the first controller 11 sends a first conversion instruction to the second controller 12 .

[0164] In step 603 , the second controller 12 responds to the first conversion instruction, processes the image data using the first preset color gamut, and drives the light valve 250 to display a second image.

[0165] For example, after receiving the second data, the first controller 11 decodes the second data. When the first controller 11 determines that the target image mode is the first image mode, the first controller 11 sends the decoded image data and the first conversion instruction to the second controller 12. In response to the first conversion instruction, the second controller 12 processes the received image data into a drive signal based on the first preset color gamut information and the image data parsing rules. The second controller 12 then drives the light valve 250 based on the drive signal to display the second image. The color gamut conversion process when switching between the first and second data can be found in the previous section and will not be further elaborated here.

[0166] In step 604 , the first controller 11 sends a second conversion instruction to the second controller 12 .

[0167] When the first controller 11 determines that the switched image mode is the second image mode, the first controller 11 sends a second conversion instruction to the second controller 12 .

[0168] In step 605 , the second controller 12 responds to the second conversion instruction, processes the image data using the second preset color gamut, and drives the light valve 250 to display the second image.

[0169] The second conversion instruction is used to instruct the second controller 12 to convert the color gamut of the displayed image into the second preset color gamut.

[0170] For example, after receiving the second data, the first controller 11 decodes the second data. When the first controller 11 determines that the target image mode is the second image mode, the first controller 11 sends the decoded image data and the second conversion instruction to the second controller 12. In response to the second conversion instruction, the second controller 12 processes the received image data into a drive signal based on the second preset color gamut information and the image data parsing rules. The second controller 12 then drives the light valve 250 based on the drive signal to display the second image. The second preset color gamut information matches the second preset color gamut. The color gamut conversion process when switching between the first and second data can be found in the previous section and will not be further described here. It should be noted that the correspondence between the image mode and the first and second conversion instructions can be pre-set and stored in the first controller 11. Upon receiving the image mode switching instruction, the first controller 11 determines the target image mode and generates a corresponding conversion instruction (e.g., the first conversion instruction or the second conversion instruction) based on the correspondence between the image mode and the conversion instruction.

[0171] In some embodiments, the second preset color gamut may be a color gamut preset by the projection device 100. Since the projection device 100 uses the preset color gamut to display the second image by default, when the first controller 11 determines that the conversion instruction (e.g., the second conversion instruction) corresponds to the second preset color gamut, the second controller 12 does not convert the color gamut for displaying the second image after receiving the second conversion instruction, but may directly display the second image using the color gamut preset by the projection device 100.

[0172] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG21 , the remote control device buttons 601 further include a third button and a fourth button. The third button may be the vivid mode button in FIG21 , and the fourth button may be the standard mode button in FIG21 . The fourth button corresponds to the first image mode of the projection device 100 , and the third button corresponds to the second image mode of the projection device 100 .

[0173] For example, the color gamut corresponding to the fourth button is Rec.709, and the color gamut corresponding to the third button is BT2020, but this disclosure does not limit this. By pressing the third button or the fourth button, the user can set the image mode of the projection device 100. While the second image is being displayed, the user can press the third button to select the projection device 100 to display the second image in the second preset color gamut. Pressing the fourth button can select the projection device 100 to display the second image in the first preset color gamut.

[0174] During the process of displaying the second image, the user selects an image mode for the projection device 100 to display the second image through the remote control device 60 according to personal preference, thereby increasing the flexibility of the projection device 100 and meeting different usage requirements of the user.

[0175] The foregoing mainly uses the example of the projection device 100 including the first image mode and the second image mode for explanation. Of course, in some embodiments, the projection device 100 may also include other image modes, and the color gamut ranges corresponding to the other multiple image modes are respectively within the color gamut of the projection device 100 itself. This disclosure does not limit this.

[0176] It should be noted that the first image mode and the second image mode can be used not only for color gamut adjustment of the second image, but also for color gamut adjustment of the first image. Furthermore, the first image mode and the second image mode can refer to the first image mode and the second image mode described above in the projection device 100, and will not be repeated here.

[0177] Through the display method provided in some embodiments of the present disclosure, when the projection device 100 displays the first image and the second image simultaneously, the color gamut of the second image can be converted to the same color gamut as that of the first image, thereby overcoming the problem of inconsistent colors in the displayed images.

[0178] Some embodiments of the present disclosure further provide a projection device, which has a similar structure to the projection device 100 . For example, the projection device includes the light valve 250 , a first controller 11 , and a second controller 12 .

[0179] In some embodiments, the first controller 11 receives image data. The image data includes at least one of first data or second data, wherein the first data is used for displaying a first image and the second data is used for displaying a second image.

[0180] In some embodiments, when the first controller 11 identifies the second data in the received image data, it sends the image data and a first notification message to the second controller 12. The first notification message instructs the second controller 12 to perform color gamut conversion. In response to the first notification message, the second controller 12 processes the image data using the first preset color gamut and drives the light valve 250 to display the second image.

[0181] In some embodiments, the first notification includes a first conversion instruction. The first conversion instruction instructs the second controller 12 to convert the color gamut of the displayed image to the first preset color gamut. Upon receiving the decoded image data and the first notification, the second controller 12 processes the decoded image data using the first preset color gamut in response to the first conversion instruction and drives the light valve 250 to display the second image.

[0182] In some embodiments, the first notification information includes an image data type message. The image data type message indicates that the currently processed image data is the second data. After receiving the decoded image data and the first notification information, the second controller 12 is configured to determine that the current image data is the second data based on the image data type message, process the image data using the first preset color gamut, and drive the light valve 250 to display the second image.

[0183] In some embodiments, if the received image data is the second data, the first controller is configured to send the second data to the second controller. The second controller 12 responds to the first notification information and processes the received image data into a drive signal using the first preset color gamut. The second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 according to the drive signal to display the second image.

[0184] If the received image data is the first data, the first controller is configured to decode the first data and send the decoded image data to the second controller 12. The second controller 12 processes the received image data into a driving signal and drives the light valve 250 according to the driving signal to display the first image.

[0185] In some embodiments, during the display of the second image, the first controller 11 determines a target image mode according to a received image mode switching instruction, wherein the image mode switching instruction instructs the projection device to switch image modes.

[0186] If it is determined that the target image mode of the first controller 11 is the first image mode, a first conversion instruction is sent to the second controller 12. The first conversion instruction instructs the second controller 12 to convert the color gamut of the displayed image to the first preset color gamut;

[0187] If the first controller 11 determines that the target image mode is the second image mode, it sends a second conversion instruction to the second controller 12; the second conversion instruction instructs the second controller 12 to convert the color gamut of the displayed image to the second preset color gamut;

[0188] In some embodiments, the second controller 12 responds to the first conversion instruction, processes the image data using the first preset color gamut, and drives the light valve 250 to display the second image. In response to the second conversion instruction, the second controller 12 processes the image data using the second preset color gamut, and drives the light valve 250 to display the second image. It should be noted that the color gamut corresponding to the first image mode is the first preset color gamut, and the color gamut corresponding to the second image mode is the second preset color gamut. The first preset color gamut is smaller than the second preset color gamut, and the second preset color gamut is the color gamut preset by the projection device.

[0189] In some embodiments, the first preset color gamut satisfies any one of Rec.709 and DCI-P3, and the second preset color gamut satisfies BT2020.

[0190] When the user selects the first image mode to display the first image, the first controller 11 converts the color gamut of the first image to a color gamut standard (e.g., Rec.709 or DCI-P3) after receiving the image data, while the second image is still displayed using the second image mode. As a result, the color gamuts of the first and second images displayed by the projection device 100 are inconsistent, resulting in inconsistent image colors and affecting the display quality.

[0191] In order to solve the above problems, some embodiments of the present disclosure further provide a display method, which is applied to the above-mentioned projection device 100 .

[0192] FIG24 is a flowchart of another display method according to some embodiments.

[0193] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 24 , the method includes steps 111 to 113 .

[0194] In step 111 , the first controller 11 receives image data.

[0195] It should be noted that the image data received by the first controller 11 includes at least one of first data and second data. The first data refers to multimedia data used to display the first image. For example, the first data includes high-definition multimedia interface video data. The first data can be input via a network, an antenna, a closed-circuit television, a memory card, or the like. The second data is menu data used to display the second image. The second data can be generated by an image generator within the projection device 100. The image generator is used to generate image data.

[0196] In step 112 , the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed, determines the color gamut corresponding to the image mode currently set by the projection device 100 as the target color gamut, and sends the second notification information to the second controller 12 .

[0197] Here, the second notification information includes the target color gamut and the coordinates of the target display area. The target display area is the display area corresponding to the second data.

[0198] In step 113 , the second controller 12 processes the image data in the target display area using the target color gamut in response to the second notification information, and drives the light valve 250 to simultaneously display the first image and the second image in the same frame image.

[0199] During the projection display process of the projection device 100 , the image mode of the projection display of the projection device 100 may be set. Different image modes correspond to different color gamuts to meet the viewing needs of users.

[0200] In this case, when the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed, the projection device 100 can simultaneously display the first image and the second image in the same display screen. When the first controller 11 identifies the first data, the first controller 11 can perform color gamut conversion on the first data, and convert the color gamut of the displayed first image to the color gamut corresponding to the currently set image mode. However, the first controller 11 cannot perform color gamut conversion on the second data. Therefore, when the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed, in order to make the first image and the second image have a consistent display effect and coordinate the color difference of the displayed screen, it is necessary to convert the color gamut of the displayed second image to the same color gamut as that of the displayed first image.

[0201] The first controller 11 determines the color gamut corresponding to the image mode currently set for the projection device 100 as the target color gamut, and sends the target range and the coordinates of the target display area as second notification information to the second controller 12. The correspondence between image modes and color gamuts can be pre-set and stored in the first controller 11 for easy recall. Upon receiving the second notification information, the second controller 12 responds by processing the second data using the target color gamut to ensure that the color gamut of the displayed second image meets the target color gamut. The controller then drives the light valve 250 to simultaneously display the first and second images in the same frame, ensuring that the color gamuts of the displayed first and second images are the same.

[0202] By using the above method, when the projection device 100 displays the first image and the second image simultaneously, the color gamut of the second image can be converted to be the same as the color gamut of the first image, so that the color gamuts of the first image and the second image are consistent and the colors of the displayed images are coordinated.

[0203] FIG. 25 is another flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0204] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 25 , step 111 includes step 1110 .

[0205] In step 1110 , the first controller 11 receives image data and decodes the image data.

[0206] Since the second controller 12 cannot directly process the image data, the first controller 11 needs to first decode the received image data and then send the decoded image data to the second controller 12 .

[0207] In some embodiments, the image mode of the projection device 100 includes a second image mode. The color gamut corresponding to the second image mode is a color gamut preset by the projection device 100. Therefore, when the currently set image mode of the projection device 100 is the second image mode, the first image and the second image can be displayed using the color gamut preset by the projection device 100. In this case, the first controller 11 does not need to convert the color gamut for displaying the second image. Therefore, the first controller 11 needs to determine whether to convert the color gamut for displaying the second image based on the currently set image mode of the projection device 100.

[0208] In this case, as shown in FIG. 25 , after step 1110 , the method further includes steps 1121 to 1127 .

[0209] In step 1121, the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed, and determines whether the currently set image mode of the projection device 100 is the second image mode. If "yes", steps 1122 to 1124 are executed. If "no", steps 1125 to 1127 are executed.

[0210] In step 1122 , the first controller 11 determines that the image mode currently set for the projection device 100 is the second image mode, and sends the decoded image data to the second controller 12 .

[0211] In step 1123 , the second controller 12 processes the image data into a driving signal.

[0212] In step 1124 , the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 according to the driving signal to display an image.

[0213] When the first controller 11 determines that the projector 100 has set the image mode to the second image mode, the color gamut of the displayed first image is the color gamut preset by the projector 100. In this case, the color gamut of the displayed first image is the same as the default color gamut of the displayed second image, eliminating the need for color gamut conversion. Therefore, the first controller 11 transmits the decoded image data to the second controller 12. After receiving the decoded image data, the second controller 12 directly processes the image data into a drive signal and, based on the drive signal, drives the light valve 250 to display the image.

[0214] In step 1125 , the first controller 11 determines the color gamut corresponding to the currently set image mode of the projection device 100 as the target color gamut.

[0215] When the first controller 11 determines that the image mode of the projection device 100 is not the second image mode, the second controller 12 needs to convert the color gamut of the displayed second image into the color gamut corresponding to the currently set image mode.

[0216] In step 1126 , the first controller 11 determines the target coordinates.

[0217] The target coordinates are the coordinates of the endpoints of the target display area. Since when the projection device 100 displays the first image and the second image at the same time, the second image only occupies a part of the display screen area, the second controller 12 only needs to perform color gamut conversion on the second data corresponding to the second image (i.e., the image data within the target display area) to make the color gamuts of the first image and the second image the same. Therefore, it is necessary to obtain the specific position of the display area of the second image in the entire display screen. For example, after determining that the currently set image mode of the projection device 100 is not the second image mode, the first controller 11 needs to determine the target coordinates to determine the display area of the second image.

[0218] For example, as shown in Figure 10, the second image is composed of multiple regular quadrilaterals (such as rectangles). Therefore, the coordinates of the vertices of the image composed of multiple regular quadrilaterals can be used to calibrate the display area of the second image to determine the display area of the second image.

[0219] In step 1127 , the first controller 11 uses the target color gamut and the target coordinates as second notification information, and sends the image data and the second notification information to the second controller 12 .

[0220] When the first controller 11 determines that the set image mode of the projection device 100 is not the first image mode, it determines the color gamut corresponding to the currently set image mode of the projection device 100 as the target color gamut, determines the target coordinates, and sends the target color gamut and the target coordinates as second notification information together with the decoded image data to the second controller 12. It should be noted that the image data may include the second notification information, or the second notification information may also be a separate instruction or information, which is not limited in this disclosure.

[0221] FIG26 is another flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0222] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 26 , after step 1127 , the method further includes steps 211 to 212 .

[0223] In step 211 , the second controller 12 responds to the second notification information, processes the image data in the target display area into a first portion of driving signals using the target color gamut, and directly processes the image data outside the target display area into a second portion of driving signals.

[0224] In some embodiments, after receiving the decoded image data, the second controller 12 needs to de-process the received image data into a driving signal to drive the light valve 250 to display an image.

[0225] When the first controller 11 recognizes that the image data includes the first data and the second data, the first controller 11 directly converts the color gamut of the first image corresponding to the first data into the color gamut (ie, the target color gamut) corresponding to the image mode currently set for the projection image 100 .

[0226] After receiving the second notification information and the decoded image data sent by the first controller 11, the second controller 12 responds to the second notification information and uses the target color gamut to process the image data within the target display area into a first part of the driving signal, and directly processes the image data outside the target display area into a second part of the driving signal.

[0227] In step 212 , the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 according to the driving signal to display an image.

[0228] When the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 through the driving signal to simultaneously display the first image and the second image, the color gamuts of the first image and the second image are consistent.

[0229] The second data is generated by the projection device 100 according to the color gamut preset by the projection device 100, so the default color gamut for displaying the second image is the color gamut preset by the projection device 100. After receiving the target color gamut, the second controller 12 can convert the color gamut for displaying the second image according to the mapping relationship between the color gamut preset by the projection device 100 and the target color gamut.

[0230] In some embodiments, the target color gamut may be calibrated by red, green, and blue color coordinate point values of the target color gamut, and the second notification information includes the red, green, and blue color coordinate point values of the target color gamut.

[0231] For example, the color gamut preset by the projection device 100 is calibrated by the red, green, and blue color coordinate point values corresponding to the color gamut preset by the projection device 100, and the red, green, and blue color coordinate point values corresponding to the color gamut preset by the projection device 100 are pre-stored in the second controller 12 so as to be called when performing color gamut conversion.

[0232] In some embodiments, during the image display process of the projection device 100, the first controller 11 continuously receives image data. In this case, the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed, including multiple situations.

[0233] For example, when the first controller 11 receives a first display instruction sent by a user through an external device during the display of the first image, the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed. The first display instruction is used to instruct the projection device 100 to display the second interface.

[0234] When the first controller 11 receives a first display instruction during the process of displaying the first image, as shown in Figure 10, the user can send the first display instruction through an external device to call up the system parameter setting interface, on which the parameter information of the projection device 100 is displayed. The user can set parameters such as the size, resolution, brightness, contrast and signal source of the projection screen while watching the first image. In this case, the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed.

[0235] For another example, when the first controller 11 receives a second display instruction sent by the user through an external device, the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed. The second display instruction is used to instruct the first image to exit full-screen display.

[0236] When the first controller 11 receives the second display instruction, as shown in Figure 11, the user sends the second display instruction through an external device, the first image exits full-screen display, and the second image can fill the blank area that appears after the first image exits full-screen display as the background of the first image. In this case, the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed.

[0237] For another example, upon receiving a third display instruction sent by a user via an external device, the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed. The third display instruction is used to instruct to display the first image in a windowed form.

[0238] When the first controller 11 receives the third display instruction, as shown in Figure 13, the user can send the third display instruction through an external device, and the projection device 100 previews the content of the film and television program in the form of a small window playback. During the preview process, the user can continue to search for other programs. In this case, the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed.

[0239] It should be noted that the external device used by the user to send instructions (first display instruction, second display instruction and third display instruction) can be a remote control matched with the projection device 100, a button on the projection device 100, and any control device that can send instructions to instruct the projection device 100 to perform corresponding operations. This disclosure does not limit this.

[0240] The following description will be made by taking as an example the case where the projection device 100 is displaying a first image and the first controller 11 receives a first display instruction and the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed.

[0241] FIG27 is another schematic diagram of buttons of a remote control device according to some embodiments.

[0242] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG27 , the remote control device buttons 601 include a fifth button and a sixth button. The fifth button may be the settings button in FIG27 , and the sixth button may be the return button in FIG27 . For example, as shown in FIG8 , when a user is watching a multimedia video (e.g., a film or TV program), the entire display screen is used to display a first image. After the user presses the fifth button of the remote control device buttons 601 , the remote control device 60 may send a command to the projection device 100 to enter the first display, thereby controlling the projection device 100 to display a second image in a portion of the display screen.

[0243] For example, as shown in Figure 10, the second image is displayed within the area enclosed by the four vertices (A, B, C, and D), and the first image is displayed outside the area enclosed by the four vertices (A, B, C, and D). The user can adjust the parameters of the projection device 100 while watching a movie or TV program. After the user completes the parameter settings, pressing the sixth button of the remote control device 601 can send a fourth display instruction to the projection device 100, controlling the projection device 100 to exit the display of the second image, and the entire display screen is used to display the first image. The fourth display instruction is used to instruct the projection device 100 to cancel the display of the second image so that the entire display screen is used to display the first image.

[0244] FIG28 is a flowchart of a display method when a remote control device sends a first display instruction according to some embodiments.

[0245] In some embodiments, during the display process of the projection device 100, the first controller 11 receives image data, the user presses the fifth button of the remote control device 60, and the remote control device 60 sends a first display instruction to the projection device 100. When the first controller 11 receives the first display instruction, it simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed. In this case, as shown in Figure 28, the method includes steps 411 to 419.

[0246] In step 411, when the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed, it determines whether the set image mode of the projection device 100 is the second image mode. If "yes", steps 412 to 414 are executed; if "no", steps 415 to 419 are executed.

[0247] When the user presses the "Set" button on the remote control device 60, a first display instruction is sent to the projection device 100. The first controller 11 receives the first display instruction and simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed. The controller 11 determines whether the set image mode of the projection device 100 is the second image mode. The color gamut corresponding to the second image mode is the color gamut preset by the projection device 100.

[0248] In step 412 , the first controller 11 sends the decoded image data to the second controller 12 .

[0249] In step 413 , the second controller 12 processes the image data into a driving signal.

[0250] In step 414 , the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 according to the driving signal to display an image.

[0251] The second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 according to the driving signal to display the first image and the second image simultaneously.

[0252] In step 415 , the first controller 11 determines the color gamut corresponding to the image mode currently set for the projection device 100 as the target color gamut.

[0253] In step 416 , the first controller 11 determines the target coordinates.

[0254] In step 417 , the first controller 11 uses the target color gamut and the target coordinates as second notification information, and sends the decoded image data and the second notification information to the second controller 12 .

[0255] In step 418 , in response to the second notification information, the second controller 12 processes the image data within the target display area into a driving signal using the target color gamut, and directly processes the image data outside the target display area into a driving signal.

[0256] In step 419 , the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 according to the driving signal to display an image.

[0257] The second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 according to the driving signal to display the first image and the second image simultaneously, so that the color gamuts of the displayed first image and the second image are the same.

[0258] During the display process of the projection device 100, after the first controller 11 receives the first display instruction, the projection device 100 automatically executes the above steps (steps 411 to 419), so that when the projection device 100 displays the first image and the second image at the same time in the same frame image, the color gamut of the second image is converted to the same color gamut as that of the first image, so that the color of the displayed image is coordinated.

[0259] It should be noted that the steps performed by the first controller 11 when receiving the second display instruction and the third display instruction can refer to the above steps and are not described in detail here.

[0260] FIG29 is another flowchart of a display method according to some embodiments.

[0261] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 29 , step 113 includes steps 1131 to 1135 .

[0262] In step 1131 , the second controller 12 processes the second data using the target color gamut in response to the second notification information.

[0263] In step 1132 , the second controller 12 determines whether the current color temperature of the projection device 100 has changed. If so, steps 1133 to 1134 are executed. If not, step 1135 is executed.

[0264] In step 1133 , the second controller 12 adjusts the light valve 250 to change the color of the corresponding color, so that the adjusted color temperature is restored to the color temperature corresponding to the image mode currently set for the projection device 100 .

[0265] For example, the second controller 12 adjusts the light valve 250 to adjust the color temperature of the seven colors (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, yellow, and white) of the displayed image by adjusting the saturation, gain, etc. corresponding to each color.

[0266] In step 1134 , the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 to simultaneously display the first image and the second image in the same frame image.

[0267] In step 1135 , the second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 to simultaneously display the first image and the second image in the same frame image.

[0268] During the color gamut conversion process performed by the second controller 12, the color temperature of the image currently displayed by the projection device 100 may deviate from the color temperature corresponding to the set image mode of the projection device 100, thereby causing a deviation in the color of the displayed image. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the color temperature of the projection device 100. For example, after receiving the second notification information, the second controller 12 responds to the second notification information and processes the target image data into a driving signal using the first target color gamut. This may cause the display color temperature to change. If the color temperature is not corrected, the display effect will be different.

[0269] In some embodiments of the present disclosure, when the second controller 12 determines that the current color temperature of the projection device 100 has changed, the second controller 12 adjusts the light valve 250 of the projection device 100 to change the color of the corresponding color, restoring the adjusted color temperature to the color temperature corresponding to the image mode currently set for the projection device 100. Subsequently, in response to the second notification information, the second controller 12 uses the target color gamut to process the image data within the target display area into a first portion of drive signals, and processes the image data outside the target display area into a second portion of drive signals. The second controller 12 drives the light valve 250 to display the image based on the first and second portion of drive signals, thereby resolving the issue of inconsistent displayed image colors.

[0270] In some embodiments, the color temperatures of different image modes can be pre-stored, and the correspondence between color coordinates and color temperatures can be pre-determined. In this way, when performing color gamut conversion, the second controller 12 can determine whether the color temperature has changed based on the change in color coordinates. The above-mentioned color temperature correction function can be pre-programmed in the second controller 12 so that it automatically runs when the projection device 100 performs color gamut conversion.

[0271] Through the display method provided in some embodiments of the present disclosure, when the projection device 100 displays the first image and the second image simultaneously, the color gamut of the second image can be converted to the same color gamut as that of the first image, thereby avoiding the problem of inconsistent colors in the displayed images.

[0272] Some embodiments of the present disclosure further provide a projection device, which has a similar structure to the projection device 100 . For example, the projection device includes the light valve 250 , a first controller 11 , and a second controller 12 .

[0273] In some embodiments, the first controller 11 receives image data. The image data includes at least one of first data or second data, wherein the first data is used for displaying a first image and the second data is used for displaying a second image.

[0274] When the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed, the color gamut corresponding to the image mode currently set by the projection device 100 is determined as the target color gamut, and the coordinates of the target color gamut and the target display area are used as the second notification information, and the image data is sent to the second controller. The image data sent to the second controller includes the second notification message, and the target display area is the display area corresponding to the second data.

[0275] The second controller 12 processes the image data in the target display area using the target color gamut in response to the second notification information, and drives the light valve to simultaneously display the first image and the second image in the same frame image.

[0276] In some embodiments, after receiving the image data, the first controller is configured to decode the first data in the image data. When the first controller 11 simultaneously identifies the first data and the second data in the same frame of image data to be displayed.

[0277] If the first controller 11 determines that the image mode currently set on the projection device is the first image mode, it determines the color gamut corresponding to the image mode currently set on the projection device 100 as the target color gamut. The first controller 11 also determines target coordinates. The target coordinates are the coordinates of the endpoints of the target display area. The first controller 11 uses the target color gamut and target coordinates as the second notification information and sends the image data and the second notification information to the second controller 12.

[0278] If the first controller 11 determines that the image mode currently set by the projection device is the second image mode, the decoded image data is sent to the second controller 12. The color gamut corresponding to the second image mode is a color gamut preset by the projection device 100.

[0279] The second controller 12 is further configured to: if the image mode currently set to the projection device is the second image mode, process the image data into a drive signal, and drive the light valve according to the drive signal to display the image. If the second notification information is received, in response to the second notification information, process the image data within the target display area into a first portion of drive signals using the target color gamut, directly process the image data outside the target display area into a second portion of drive signals, and drive the light valve according to the first and second portion of drive signals to display the image.

[0280] In some embodiments, when the second controller 12 responds to the second notification information and uses the target color gamut to process the image data in the target display area, if the second controller 12 confirms that the current color temperature of the projection device 100 has not changed, it drives the light valve to simultaneously display the first image and the second image in the same frame image.

[0281] If the second controller 12 determines that the current color temperature of the projection device 100 has changed, it adjusts the light valve 250 to change the color of the corresponding color, so that the adjusted color temperature is restored to the color temperature corresponding to the image mode currently set by the projection device 100, and drives the light valve 250 to simultaneously display the first image and the second image in the same frame image.

[0282] In some embodiments, the display screen of the projection device 100 includes at least one of a first interface and a second interface, wherein the first interface is a display area for the first image, and the second interface is a display area for the second image. When the first controller 11 receives a first display instruction while displaying the first image, the first data and the second data are simultaneously identified in the same frame of image data to be displayed. When the first controller 11 receives a second display instruction, the first data and the second data are simultaneously identified in the same frame of image data to be displayed. When the first controller 11 receives a third display instruction, the first data and the second data are simultaneously identified in the same frame of image data to be displayed.

[0283] It should be noted that the first display instruction instructs the projection device to display the second interface, the second display instruction instructs the first image to exit full-screen display, and the third display instruction instructs to display the first image in window form.
