[0017] Embodiments of the present disclosure will be described hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings. While the present disclosure is susceptible to various modifications and alternative forms, specific embodiments thereof are shown by way of example in the drawings and will herein be described in detail. It should be understood, however, that there is no intent to limit the present disclosure to the particular embodiments disclosed, but on the contrary, the disclosure is to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the spirit and scope of the present disclosure. Like numbers refer to like elements throughout the description of the figures.
[0018] In the description of embodiments of the disclosure, the term "includes" and its conjugations are to be understood as open-ended, i.e., "including but not limited to". The term "based on" is to be understood as "based, at least in part, on". The term "one embodiment" or "an embodiment" is to be understood as "at least one embodiment". The term "some embodiments" is to be understood as "at least some embodiments". Other explicitly and implicitly recited definitions can also be included below. For example, the above-mentioned relationships can be obtained based on various technical solutions that are currently known and / or will be developed in the future.
[0019] Online social platforms have become an important tool for people to communicate in daily life. Users of a social platform can create groups and add multiple users to the groups. In the context of the present disclosure, a social platform can include various types of applications, such as chat applications, media (e.g., including video, short video, audio, rich media data, etc.) sharing applications, meeting applications, shopping applications, etc. For ease of description, details of group management are described below only by taking a chat application as an example of a social platform, where a group can also be referred to as a "chat group", and a user in a group can be referred to as a "member".
[0020] Users can create groups and invite other users to join the groups. At this time, users in the groups can speak, upload and / or download data such as files, etc. Generally, a group will continue to exist once it is established, and group members will always exist in the group. An administrator (e.g., a group owner) of the group can manually manage the group, disband the group, or move a specific group member out of the group, and a user in the group can invite other users to join the group or exit the group. However, the above-mentioned processes require a large amount of complex manual operation, and as the length of time that users use the social platform becomes longer and longer, users can join a large number of groups. On the one hand, the existence of a large number of groups will cause resource overhead of server devices and client devices of the social platform, and on the other hand, ordinary users and administrators have to spend a lot of effort to manage the groups.
[0021] In the process of using groups, the following situations can exist. For example, a group is created for the purpose of participating in an activity (e.g., a picnic). When the picnic activity is over, the purpose of the group has been achieved, and group members no longer need to communicate in the group. At this time, the group has no value and significance to exist, but the group continues to exist because the administrator does not disband the group. Group members need to manually exit the group and delete group messages in order to release local resources occupied by the group. For another example, some members in a group are no longer suitable to continue to exist in the group. Assuming that a group is a group of employees of an enterprise and some employees have left the enterprise, but these members continue to exist in the group due to negligence of the administrator or for other reasons. At this time, there can be a risk of information leakage.
[0022] It should be appreciated that the persistence of invalid groups can cause waste of resources of social platform software, hardware, transmission bandwidth. In addition, the chat records of the groups persist on the servers of the social platform provider and on the clients of the members in the groups, which causes information security risks. Further, some members in the groups initially join the groups for the purpose of temporarily participating in the communication, but if the purpose of the member joining the group is completed, the member still exists in the group, which causes the speeches and uploaded files of the other members in the group to be obtained by the member who should not continue to exist in the group, affecting the validity and security of the information in the group. Further, too many invalid groups are left, which can cause confusion and confusion to the members of the group (who are also users of the social platform), causing the user to select to speak and upload files in the wrong group, which also affects the validity and security of the information in the group.
[0023] In order to at least partially solve the deficiencies in the prior art, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a method for managing groups in a social platform is proposed. In general, the groups can be divided into groups with different validity types: long-term type groups can correspond to ordinary groups in the prior art at present, and the groups will exist for a long time; condition type groups indicate that the groups are valid when the validity conditions are met. In other words, the groups will be dissolved or partially dissolved (i.e., some members are removed from the group) when the validity conditions are not met. In this way, by setting validity conditions, the life cycle of the group and the members in the group can be automatically managed, thereby reducing the complexity of manual operation and releasing various resources occupied by useless groups in time.
[0024] Referring to Figure 1 The summary of one embodiment according to the present disclosure is described, which Figure 1 A block diagram 100 for managing groups in a social platform according to some embodiments of the present disclosure is shown. As shown in the figure, Figure 1 As shown, a setting interface 110 can be provided, via which a user (e.g., a group owner) can set the validity type of the group, the validity type including a long-term type and a condition type. For example, the user can select the long-term type via a control 120, so as to indicate that the group is valid for a long time. Alternatively and / or additionally, the user can select the condition type via a control 121, so as to indicate that the group is valid when the validity conditions are met.
[0025] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, in response to determining that the validity type is the conditional type, a setting interface for setting the validity condition can be presented in the social platform. For example, region 124 can be further presented in setting interface 110 so as to allow the user to set more details of the validity condition. The user can interact in the interface, and in response to receiving a setting request for the setting interface, the validity condition can be determined based on the setting request. Specifically, the user can input a timer condition regarding the life cycle of the group, e.g., "3 days", "7 days" or other length of time, at control 122 in the setting interface. In turn, the validity condition can be automatically determined based on the above-mentioned input of the user.
[0026] Alternatively and / or additionally, the validity condition can be automatically adjusted during the existence of the group. For example, if the total number of group members greatly increases (e.g., exceeds a predetermined percentage of the initial total number of members), the length of time specified in the timer condition can be appropriately extended. For example, a message can be sent to the group owner to remind the group owner to modify the length of time. Alternatively and / or additionally, the length of time can be automatically increased (e.g., by 10% or other percentage). In this way, it can be ensured that the members within the group continue to communicate for a longer period of time, and the communication efficiency of the group is improved.
[0027] Alternatively and / or additionally, the user can input an activity condition regarding the activity level of the group at control 123, e.g., the user can specify that if there is no member speaking, uploading files and / or downloading files within a week (or other length of time), the group is dissolved; if the number of speeches within two weeks (or other length of time) is less than N (a positive integer), the group is dissolved.
[0028] Alternatively and / or additionally, the activity level can be measured in terms of the number of users in the group. If the number of members within the group drops to M% (M is a value between 0 and 100) of the highest number of group members, the group is dissolved, and the like. Alternatively and / or additionally, the total number of members within the group can change, and the value of M can change according to the total number. For example, the value of M can be increased when the total number increases, and the value of M can be decreased when the total number decreases. Alternatively and / or additionally, the members within the group can have different levels, e.g., members who join the group in an initial stage can be assigned a higher level, and members who join the group in a subsequent stage can be assigned a lower level, and the departure of users of different levels can have different contributions to determining the activity level of the group.
[0029] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the user is allowed to input validity conditions in natural language. In this way, the user's customized needs can be satisfied in a more friendly manner, thus providing a more flexible and efficient group management process. Further, the group can be managed based on the validity conditions set by the user. It should be understood that the user can set only a timer condition or an activity condition, alternatively and / or additionally, the user can set both conditions. At this time, the group can be dissolved when either condition is reached. Alternatively and / or additionally, although Figure 1 not shown in FIG. 1, the validity conditions can further include conditions for managing members in the group. For example, the group owner can specify: "remove a user if the user makes inappropriate remarks in the group"; remove a user if the user has not viewed group messages for a length of time of 10 days, etc.
[0030] It should be understood that Figure 1 the setting interface 110 is merely illustrative, and other controls can be provided to input the conditions. For example, a single input control can be provided and receive conditions expressed by the user in natural language. The conditions can include one or more conditions, for example, one example can be expressed as: "temporary group, dissolved after the picnic activity ends; remove a user if the user makes inappropriate remarks in the group". At this time, the social platform can use a language model to analyze the conditions input by the user, and manage the group and the users in the group according to the rules specified in the conditions. In this way, the user does not need to make complex settings, but can specify validity conditions through text input and / or voice input, thus improving management efficiency.
[0031] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the setting interface can be presented at different time points. For example, the setting interface can be presented during the process of creating a group. Specifically, the setting interface can be presented in response to receiving a creation request for creating a group. Here, the creation request can be various creation requests currently supported by the social platform, for example, the user can select a conversation of a certain user and click "more settings" to add one or more other users to the conversation. At this time, the one-to-one conversation will become a multi-person group conversation. The setting interface 110 can be presented when the user clicks on the control for adding other users.
[0032] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the user can create a group using the "create group" function in the social platform, at this time, the creation interface 210 as shown in Figure 2A may be presented. The creation interface 210 Figure 2A shows a block diagram 200A of presenting a setting interface before creating a group according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 2AAs shown, the creation interface 210 can include a control 211 for setting the group name, a control 212 for setting the group members, and present a setting interface 110 as shown in the lower part of the creation interface 210. Figure 1 Alternatively and / or additionally, the user can create a group with a "meetup" function in the social platform, at which time a similar creation interface can be presented, and the user can set various details about the group in the interface.
[0033] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the social platform can be a meeting application, for example. Assuming that a calendar in the meeting application sets a meeting to which multiple users need to participate, a group about the meeting activity can be created, and the group can be set as a conditional type. For example, the group can be specified to be valid on the day of the meeting, and to be dissolved on the next day.
[0034] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the user can modify a normal group to a conditional type group after the group has been created. Specifically, in response to determining that a group has been created, a setting interface can be presented in a management interface for managing the group. For example, the setting interface 110 can be added in the management interface of the group, see Figure 2B for more information, the Figure 2B A block diagram 200B showing presenting a setting interface after creating a group according to some embodiments of the present disclosure is shown. As shown, Figure 2B For a group that has been created, the user can modify the group name via a control 221, modify the group members via a control 222, and set the validity type of the group via the setting interface 110.
[0035] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the social platform can release a new version that supports conditional type groups. For an already existing normal group (corresponding to the long term type in the present disclosure), a prompt information similar to the setting interface 110 can be presented, so as to ask the group owner whether to modify the type of the group. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a voting message can be released in the group, so as to collect whether each member expects to modify the type of the group, and the validity condition that is expected to be set. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a group member can suggest the group owner to modify the type of the group, and upon confirmation of the group owner, the type of the group can be modified. With some embodiments of the present disclosure, various portals can be utilized to trigger the operation of setting the type of the group, so as to perform group management in a more effective manner.
[0036] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a validity condition can be provided to a user associated with a group in order to ask the user whether the user is willing to join the group. In an example of creating a group, the validity condition can be provided to a user who is going to join the group. For example, the validity condition can be provided when the user is invited to join the group, or the validity condition can be provided when the user actively joins the group by scanning a code or in other ways. In an example of a group that has already been created, the validity condition can be provided to a user in the group in order to inform the group member that the type of the group has been modified. The group member can confirm the validity condition in order to continue to remain in the group, or the group member can reject the validity condition, at which point the group member will be removed from the group. Alternatively and / or additionally, the group member can be considered to have accepted the modification of the group type by default.
[0037] Further, the user is allowed to join the group in response to determining that the user agrees to the validity condition, or the user is denied to join the group in response to determining that the user rejects the validity condition. In this way, it can be ensured that the users in the group are aware of and comply with the validity condition, and the group can be dissolved or partially dissolved (e.g., a certain member is removed from the group) when the validity condition is not satisfied. See Figure 3 More information is described, which Figure 3 A block diagram 300 of asking a user whether to join a group of a condition type is shown according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. A prompt interface can be provided to the user, and the area shown in the dashed box illustrates the validity condition: 1) a validity condition about the life cycle of the group: valid for 7 days; 2) a validity condition about the eligibility of the group member: will be removed from the group if discussing irrelevant topics. The prompt interface 310 can include controls 320 and 321, the user can select the control 320 in order to agree to join the group, and the user will be added to the group. Alternatively and / or additionally, the user can select the control 321 to give up joining the group.
[0038] It should be appreciated that although the “group announcement” in the current group can inform the users of the rules that should be complied with, however, some users can not strictly comply with the rules. At this time, the group owner needs to manually manage when a violation is found. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the user can be automatically warned and / or removed when the user violates the validity condition, thereby reducing the complexity of group management and improving the efficiency of management. For example, a machine learning model can be used to analyze the severity of the user violating the validity condition, and a warning and / or removal of the user can be provided based on the severity.
[0039] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the validity condition can include aspects of conditions for managing validity of the group, and conditions for managing validity of the members in the group. First, the specific process of managing the group is described, in the process of managing the group based on the validity condition, the group can be maintained in response to determining that the validity condition is satisfied, or the group can be dissolved in response to determining that the validity condition is not satisfied. With some embodiments of the present disclosure, the group can be automatically determined to be maintained or dissolved based on the validity condition. In this way, the manual burden in the group management process can be reduced, and various resources occupied by the invalid group can be automatically released.
[0040] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the validity condition can include aspects of conditions. For example, the validity condition can include a timer condition indicating a threshold length of time for dissolving the group, and dissolving the group includes: in response to determining that the duration of the group satisfies the threshold length of time (e.g., the 7-day validity period has been reached), dissolving the group. Specifically, the user can directly specify the threshold length of time of the life cycle of the group, for example, 3 days, 5 days, 7 days, and the like. When the duration of the group does not reach the threshold length of time, the group can be maintained; and when the duration of the group reaches the threshold length of time, the group can be automatically dissolved.
[0041] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the validity condition can include an activity condition of the group and / or a relevance condition between the messages in the group and the topic of the group. The activity condition and the relevance condition can be determined based on information related to the members of the group. Specifically, the activity condition indicates a threshold activity for dissolving the group, and dissolving the group includes: determining the activity of the group based on the interaction status of the users in the group in the group; and in response to determining that the activity satisfies the threshold activity, dissolving the group. Referring to Figure 4 More details are described, which Figure 4 A block diagram 400 of the content involved in the validity condition according to some embodiments of the present disclosure is shown.
[0042] As Figure 4 shown, the interaction status of the users in the group in the group can be collected and the activity can be determined. For example, for the interaction i in the group, the interaction time 411 (denoted as time i ) can be determined. Here, the interaction can include sending data (including messages and / or files (e.g., pictures, audio, video, etc.)) in the group, alternatively and / or additionally, the interaction can include obtaining data (including reading messages and / or downloading files) from the group. The data type 412 (denoted as type i), for example, a message of only emoticons is represented as 1, a text message is represented as 2, a file in picture format is represented as 3, and a file in other format is represented as 4, and so on. The size 413 of the data involved in the interaction i (denoted as size i ), the user level 414 (denoted as userlevel i ) performing the interaction can be determined, and so on. For example, the user level can be determined based on the length of time the user has joined the group (the longer the user has joined, the higher the user level), the user level can be determined based on the way the user has joined the group (for example, a user who is invited to join by the group owner can have a higher level than a user who is invited to join by a normal member, and so on), the user level of each member can be actively specified by the group owner. The difference Δt current between the interaction time and the current time (denoted as time i ) can be determined. current = time i . The activity level act of the group can be determined based on equation 1.
[0043]
[0044] In the above equation, N represents the number of interactions in the group, f() represents a predetermined function that is proportional to type i , size i , userlevel i , and is inversely proportional to Δt i . In other words, the greater the difference between the interaction time and the current time, the lower the activity level contribution, the greater the value of the data type, the greater the size of the data, and the higher the level of the relevant user, the greater the activity level contribution of the interaction. It should be understood that equation 1 above is merely illustrative, and alternatively and / or additionally, other equations can be employed to determine the activity level of the group. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, when it is found that the long-term activity level in the group is low, the group can be automatically dissolved. In this way, groups of ineffective communication can be automatically cleaned up in order to release the resources occupied.
[0045] According to some embodiments of this disclosure, the validity condition includes a relevance condition, which indicates a threshold relevance for disbanding the group. Disbanding the group includes: determining a relevance 415 between messages sent by users in the group and the group's topic based on messages in the group; and disbanding the group in response to determining that the relevance meets the threshold relevance. Specifically, messages sent by group members can be collected, and the relevance between messages and the group topic can be determined, for example, using a language model and / or via semantic analysis. If a large number of irrelevant messages are found in the group, a prompt message can be automatically sent to remind each user to comply with the group rules. Alternatively and / or additionally, the group can be automatically disbanded if it is determined that the group messages have deviated from the group topic for a long period of time.
[0046] According to some embodiments of this disclosure, validity conditions can be set for users in a group, and these conditions can specify removal rules. Specifically, the validity conditions further include threshold conditions for setting the validity of users in the group, and managing the group based on the validity conditions further includes: removing users from the group in response to determining that a user in the group meets the threshold conditions. For a given user, each message from that user can be collected and the relevance of each message to the group topic can be analyzed. If it is found that the user's posts consistently deviate from the group topic, the user can be warned. Alternatively and / or additionally, the user can be automatically removed from the group if the warning is ineffective. Utilizing some embodiments of this disclosure can reduce the manual workload of group owners and purify the discussion environment of the group.
[0047] According to some embodiments of this disclosure, the group can be directly dissolved when the conditions for disbanding the group are determined to be met. Alternatively and / or additionally, users in the group can be notified that the group will be disbanded before disbanding the group; then, the specific method of disbanding the group can be determined based on user feedback to the notification. See also Figure 5 To describe more details, the Figure 5 A block diagram 500 is shown for notifying a user of a disbandment message according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. For example... Figure 5 As shown, a disbandment message 510 can be sent to group members before disbanding the group. Users can be informed of the group's validity conditions, remaining validity period, etc. Optionally and / or additionally, users can be reminded to back up group chat history in advance when necessary to reduce the risk of information loss. Users can submit feedback via controls 520 and 521. For example, a user can click control 520 to agree to disband, click control 521 to refuse disbanding, or a user can choose not to provide feedback.
[0048] According to some embodiments of the disclosure, a determination can be made as to whether to disband the group based on user feedback. Assuming the number of users agreeing to disband exceeds a predetermined percentage (e.g., 50%), the group can be disbanded. Assuming the number of users refusing to disband exceeds a predetermined percentage (e.g., 50%), the group can be maintained active. Further, the life of the group can be extended based on an initially set validity period (e.g., 7 days, or other time period). Alternatively and / or additionally, the group can be partially disbanded, e.g., removing users agreeing to disband and retaining users disagreeing to disband, etc.
[0049] Alternatively and / or additionally, prior to removing the users, a message can be sent to the users and informing the users that the group is going to be retained. The users can be allowed to select: to stay in the group, or to exit the group. Alternatively and / or additionally, only users participating in the feedback can be considered, and users not providing feedback can be disregarded. In this way, a vote can be taken as to whether to disband the group according to the true wishes of the users in the group.
[0050] It should be appreciated that, Figure 5 While an example of triggering disbanding of a group due to reaching a timer condition is shown by way of example only, alternatively and / or additionally, a disbanding event can be triggered due to lack of activity and / or relevance. At this time, other information can be presented, one disbanding message includes: this group has been silent for 7 consecutive days, if no one speaks in the next 1 day, this group will be disbanded. Another disbanding message can include: this group has deviated significantly from the group topic, if a large number of irrelevant topics are still found in the next 3 days, this group will be disbanded, etc.
[0051] According to some embodiments of the disclosure, an indication can be presented as to the validity of a group. Referring to Figure 6A and 6B More details are described. Figure 6A A block diagram 600A of a user interface presenting a validity status is shown, according to some embodiments of the disclosure. As Figure 6A shown, an indication of the validity of a group can be presented at a location associated with the group. In a message interface 610 of a social platform, a history of interactions of a user can be presented. For example, the interaction records can be ordered according to the order in which the messages were received by the user. For example, an indication can be provided near the location of a group "GROUP01" in an interaction interface of the social platform. Indication 611 can represent the remaining validity period of the group, and indication 612 can indicate that the validity period of the group has entered a countdown state. Alternatively and / or additionally, the validity period of a group can be represented in different colors, e.g., an immediate disbanding (e.g., within 1 day) can be represented in red, a group that is going to be disbanded (e.g., within 1 to 3 days) can be represented in orange, etc.
[0052] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, in response to receiving a query request for a group, a validity condition of the group and an indication of the validity are provided. Figure 6B A block diagram 600B of an interface presenting a validity status is shown according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown, Figure 6B A validity indication can be presented in a conversation interface 620 of the group. For example, an indication 622 can represent the remaining validity period of the group, and a user can click on a control 621 to return to the message interface 610. Alternatively and / or additionally, a user can click on a control 623 to view more information about the group. It should be appreciated that, Figure 6A And Figure 6B An example of triggering a disbanding of a group due to a timer condition is shown by way of example only, and alternatively and / or additionally, a disbanding event can be triggered due to a lack of activity and / or engagement. At this time, other information can be presented.
[0053] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a disbanding message can be provided to the members of a group. Specifically, in response to determining that a group has been disbanded, a notification message is provided to the users in the group that the group has been disbanded. The message can include at least any of the following: a disbanding time, a group name, members, a validity condition, etc. In this way, the users can be explicitly informed of the relevant information so as to improve the transparency of the group management.
[0054] It should be appreciated that a user can be a member of multiple groups, and in order to facilitate the user's understanding of the status of each group, a group management interface can be provided to the users of the social platform, the group management interface including status information of at least one group associated with the user. Referring to Figure 7 More information is described, which Figure 7 A block diagram 700 of a group management interface is shown according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown, Figure 7 As shown, the group management interface 710 can include information of each group that the user has ever joined. Groups that are still in the lifecycle can be presented in a normal state (e.g., groups GROUP01 and GROUP02), and groups that have been disbanded can be shown in a shadow state (e.g., group GROUP03). Further, a prompt 712 can indicate that the group GROUP01 is about to be disbanded, a prompt 711 can indicate that the validity period of the group is only 1 day, and an indication 713 can indicate that the group GROUP02 is long-term valid. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a user can click into each group to view more information. In this way, the group management function can be provided in a more convenient and efficient manner, thereby facilitating user operation.
[0055] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the same removal condition can be set for different users in a group; alternatively and / or additionally, different removal conditions can be set. For example, after discovering that a certain user has sent irrelevant messages before, a more stringent removal condition can be applied to the user, such as being removed from the group immediately after sending an irrelevant message next time. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, a query interface can be provided for a user to query the relevant removal condition for himself in various groups. Alternatively and / or additionally, a complaint interface can be provided for a user to submit a complaint after considering himself being treated unfairly.
[0056] Having described the various steps of managing a group respectively in the foregoing, in the following, a specific example of the overall procedure of group management will be described. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, at the time of establishing a group, a policy regarding the overall dissolution or removal of members of a group can be pre-set in the social platform. One policy can be expressed as: once a certain condition is triggered, the group is overall dissolved; alternatively and / or additionally, the group is partially dissolved, i.e. certain members in the group are removed. For simplicity, this policy can be referred to as a "fade out policy".
[0057] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the fade out policy can be used at multiple time points in the operation of the social platform. In one example, the fade out policy can be used when a group is created. For example: the social platform can enable the fade out policy by default for newly created groups; the social platform can enable the fade out policy by default for certain group members (e.g. for members who are not friends with all other members in the group except the group owner); the social platform can enable the fade out policy by default for certain group members, but give a prompt to the group administrator (i.e. the group owner) for confirmation before enabling the fade out policy; the social platform can enable the fade out policy by default for certain group members, but give a prompt to the certain group members to which the fade out policy is applied, and allow the members to join the group if they confirm, or prevent the members from joining the group if they do not agree to enable the fade out policy; the social platform can prompt the group owner whether to set the entire group to enable the fade out policy; the social platform can prompt the group owner whether to enable the fade out policy for certain group members that the group owner is preparing to invite to join the group, and the fade out policy for different group members can correspond to different triggering conditions; the social platform can prompt each group member whether to enable the fade out policy for himself; the social platform can prompt certain group members whether to enable the fade out policy for themselves.
[0058] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the fade-out policy can be applied to some or all members of the group. Alternatively and / or additionally, the fade-out policy of a certain member can be adjusted during the existence of the group. For example, a certain member is not initially a friend of any other member in the group except the group owner, and thus is enabled with the fade-out policy. But over time, the member communicates frequently with other members in the group, or becomes a friend of all or some of the other members within a certain time, the fade-out policy for the member can be cancelled or relaxed.
[0059] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the fade-out policy can be enabled when a new member is added to the group after the group has been established. Alternatively and / or additionally, the fade-out policy can be enabled when one or more existing members are removed from the group after the group has been established. Alternatively and / or additionally, the fade-out policy can be enabled at any time during the existence of the group. For example, the fade-out policy can be enabled by the group owner, by other members of the group, in response to detecting a predetermined trigger condition in the social platform (e.g., detecting that a certain group member has unfriended one, some or all of the other group members), etc.
[0060] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the fade-out policy can include, but is not limited to, at least any one of the following: 1) if the entire group is no longer active (e.g., no member speaks, uploads files, or downloads files) for a certain time period (e.g., one month, one quarter, one year, or a custom length of time period), the group is dissolved. 2) if a certain group member is no longer active for a certain time period, the group member is removed. 3) if a certain percentage of group members are no longer active for a certain time period, the group is dissolved. 4) if the social platform detects that a certain group member has changed the relationship status (e.g., unfriended) with one, some or all of the other members in the group, the group member is removed. 5) if the social platform detects that a certain group member’s speech or uploaded files violate a pre-set trigger condition (e.g., deviating from the topic of the group), the group member is removed. 6) if the social platform detects that a certain group member violates a pre-set trigger condition (e.g., using profanity) in a conversation including but not limited to the group, not only the member is subject to measures such as muting, banning, etc., but also the member is removed from the group. 7) if the group is dissolved or a certain member is removed from the group due to triggering the fade-out policy, the affected group member can be allowed to keep or not allowed to keep the chat records and received file data before the triggering event.
[0061] Alternatively and / or additionally, after the entire group is dissolved or one or more group members are removed from the group, the dissolution and / or removal operation records can be kept in order to "undo" the operations that have been performed in order to restore the group and / or group members when a misoperation is found.
[0062] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the user can be allowed to perform various operations on the fade-out policy. For example, after the fade-out policy has been enabled, the group members can be allowed to query which groups they have joined that have enabled the fade-out policy. For example, before the fade-out policy of a group that has enabled the fade-out policy has been triggered to take effect, the group owner can be allowed to disable the fade-out policy for the entire group or for specific members in the group, or to change the trigger condition of the fade-out policy. For example, before a group member that has enabled the fade-out policy has been triggered to take effect, the member can be allowed to disable the fade-out policy or modify the trigger condition of the fade-out policy, but the disabling or modification of the member should not conflict with the settings of the group owner (that is, the group owner should have the highest setting authority on the fade-out policy and its trigger condition, which is higher than the authority of any other member in the group). For example, when a group member that has enabled the fade-out policy attempts to disable the fade-out policy or modify the trigger condition of the fade-out policy, a prompt is sent to the group owner, and the group owner decides whether to allow the operation of the group member. For example, the social platform periodically or at each time when the fade-out policy is triggered, a "group snapshot" is taken, thereby recording the current or the group member list before and after the trigger of the fade-out policy, the member fade-out policy enable / disable state, the fade-out policy trigger condition, and the like. According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the group snapshot and the like information can be stored by means of a blockchain, thereby forming a permanent and traceable group management log.
[0063] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, the group owner can query which groups among the various groups that he or she has currently or has ever established and / or managed have enabled the fade-out policy and have caused the group state to change (for example, the group is entirely dissolved, a certain group member is removed from the group, and the like) due to the trigger of the fade-out policy, in order to restore the group that has been dissolved due to the trigger of the fade-out policy by means of the group snapshot before and after a certain time node or event. Alternatively and / or additionally, the member that has been removed due to the trigger of the fade-out policy can be pulled back into the group, thereby facilitating the recovery of the group membership of the removed member in the case of a misoperation or when the removed member should join the group again for some reason.
[0064] According to some embodiments of the present disclosure, other group members except the group owner can query which groups in the groups that the member has participated in currently or ever have enabled the fade-out policy and caused the member's group identity to change (e.g., to be removed from the group) due to the triggering of the fade-out policy, so as to apply to the group owner or other members in the group for the restoration of the group identity through the group snapshots before and after a certain time node or event. The application can be approved by the group owner or at least one member in the group according to certain rules (e.g., voting).
[0065] It should be understood that although the above shows the management manner in the group including multiple users, alternatively and / or additionally, the above-mentioned method can also be used for two-way communication. In other words, after two users add each other as friends, the friends can also be removed by the fade-out policy.
