A flame-retardant intumescent epoxy resin and a flame-retardant intumescent epoxy resin foam

Abstract

This invention belongs to the technical field of epoxy resin foam materials, and discloses a flame-retardant thermally expanding epoxy resin and a flame-retardant thermally expanding epoxy resin foam. The flame-retardant thermally expanding epoxy resin is formulated with epoxy resin as the matrix, combined with a curing agent containing DOPO-modified dicyandiamide, thermally expanding microspheres, and a polyimide synergist; wherein DOPO-modified dicyandiamide is used as a reactive flame-retardant curing agent, forming a PI-DOPO synergistic flame-retardant system with polyimide. The flame-retardant thermally expanding epoxy resin foam is obtained by heat treatment of the flame-retardant thermally expanding epoxy resin to match the foaming window of the thermally expanding microspheres. The foam material obtained by this invention possesses excellent flame-retardant properties, long-term room temperature storage stability, and mechanical properties.
