Abstract

This invention provides a holographic polymer-dispersed liquid crystal material, a grating device, and a method for inkjet printing their fabrication. In the holographic polymer-dispersed liquid crystal material, a robust polymer network is constructed by employing multiple functional acrylate monomers in the writing monomer. Simultaneously, the interfacial properties are effectively controlled by introducing low-surface-tension monomers and additives, achieving a dual improvement in both the core diffraction performance and adaptability to inkjet printing processes. Furthermore, in the inkjet printing method for the holographic polymer-dispersed liquid crystal grating device, the additives are preferentially premixed with monofunctional acrylate monomers in the writing monomer, ensuring the dispersibility and migration properties of the additives. This continuously stabilizes the polymer-liquid interface during the photopolymerization process of the holographic polymer-dispersed liquid crystal material, thereby forming a regular holographic grating structure with excellent diffraction efficiency while simultaneously achieving patterning during inkjet printing.
