Water-injection explosion-proof valve device and new energy battery

Abstract

This invention discloses a water-fillable explosion-proof valve device and a new energy battery. The device includes a body, a waterproof and breathable valve, and an external elastic element. The waterproof and breathable valve includes a valve body, a guide rod, a piston, and an internal elastic element. The valve body has a guide hole and a pressure relief hole. The guide rod passes through the guide hole and its outer end is connected to the piston. The internal elastic element keeps the piston pressed tightly against the valve body. The guide rod is hollow, and the piston has a vent hole corresponding to the inside of the guide rod and a waterproof and breathable membrane corresponding to the vent hole. The body has a mounting groove, and the waterproof and breathable valve is installed in the mounting groove. The side wall of the mounting groove has a water inlet hole, the bottom of the mounting groove has a through hole corresponding to the guide rod, and the inner side of the top of the mounting groove has a limiting part. The external elastic element applies an outward force to the waterproof and breathable valve, keeping the valve body pressed tightly against the limiting part. This invention can block external water vapor and has different venting methods for different operating conditions, facilitating water injection for fire extinguishing inside the battery pack and improving battery safety.
