Or, if there are multiple PDU sets, the amount and degree of delay critical data in each PDU set are different, which can also cause similar problems.
[0007] To solve the above problems, the present application provides an improved technical solution. Further, although the original intention of the present application is to target the Uu air interface, the present application can also be used for the PC5 interface, and similar technical effects of the Uu air interface can be achieved. Further, although the original intention of the present application is to target the terminal device and base station scenario, the present application is also applicable to the V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) scenario, the communication scenario between the terminal device and the relay, and the communication scenario between the relay and the base station, and similar technical effects in the terminal device and base station scenario can be achieved. Further, although the original intention of the present application is to target the TN (Terrestrial Network) scenario, the present application is also applicable to the communication scenario of the NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network), and similar technical effects in the TN scenario can be achieved. In addition, the unified solution for different scenarios can also help to reduce the hardware complexity and cost.

[0080] As mentioned in the background, XR services pose new requirements for wireless communication systems, and the traditional LCP has been unable to balance fairness and timeliness, so scheduling enhancement, such as LCP process enhancement, is necessary.
[0081] In the traditional technical solution, when the terminal device gets a scheduling opportunity, i.e., gets the resource of uplink transmission data, it can determine the priority order of serving the logical channels according to the situation of each uplink logical channel. Since the transmission channel capacity allocated to the terminal device within a TTI is limited, the MAC PDU cannot accommodate all the data packets provided by the logical channels. If the MAC layer entity of the terminal device only relies on priority to allocate physical layer transmission opportunities for wireless bearers on multiple logical channels, it may cause the low-priority logical channel to never send data.
[0082] The LCP process can ensure that the logical channel with lower priority will not be starved. Specifically, the network side device (such as gNB) sets a prioritized bit rate (PBR) for each uplink logical channel of the terminal device, and configures a priority parameter and a BSD (bucketSizeDuration) parameter for each logical channel. The token bucket size of each logical channel is PBR x BSD. The terminal device realizes the PBR guarantee of the logical channel based on the MAC layer scheduler and using the token bucket algorithm. In time T, the amount of tokens newly added to the token bucket of logical channel j (j is a non-negative integer) is PBR x T; the total amount of the logical channel j is denoted as Bj; T is the time elapsed since the last increment of Bj.
[0083] Correspondingly, the MAC layer scheduler of the terminal device limits the transmission rate of each logical channel below the PBR. If the data transmission rate of a high-priority logical channel exceeds the PBR, the MAC layer scheduler will instead serve a low-priority logical channel that does not reach the PBR, even if there is still data to be sent.
[0084] In a specific implementation, at the terminal device side, tokens are put into a bucket according to the pre-agreed PBR, and each logical channel takes tokens from the bucket to determine the amount of data to be sent. When allocating resources, the MAC layer scheduler of the terminal device only considers logical channels with tokens in the bucket, that is, Bj>0 to send corresponding data. Then, if there is still resource, the resource is allocated again according to the priority order. In a normal case, the LCP mechanism in the current NR generally operates well and can guarantee to meet the quality of service requirements of XR applications.
[0085] However, when the network allocates an uplink (UL) grant to the terminal device, and the terminal device has delay-critical data to be transmitted in the buffer, the terminal device will first select the logical channel with delay-critical data during LCP. Then, the non-delay-critical data in the logical channel with delay-critical data will also be preferentially transmitted, which may affect the scheduling performance of the non-delay-critical data in other logical channels with higher legacy priority. If the priority of the logical channel is increased, the non-delay-critical data in the logical channel will also be transmitted with a higher priority, which will also affect the scheduling performance of the non-delay-critical data in other LCHs with a higher legacy priority. Therefore, LCP process enhancement is very necessary.
[0086] In order to facilitate understanding of the embodiments of the present application, first, the concepts and technologies involved in the embodiments of the present application are briefly introduced. It should be understood that the related terms and explanations in the following text are common to all embodiments, and different embodiments can be used independently or in combination based on some internal or external relationship, and different implementation manners in the embodiments can be used independently or in combination.
[0087] 1. service data unit (SDU);
[0088] Also known as service data unit, it is a set of data of a specified layer user service, which is sent to the next layer and then encapsulated in a protocol data unit (PDU) by the next layer for transmission.
[0089] 2. protocol data unit (PDU);
[0090] For each layer, the information unit from the higher layer is called the SDU of the layer, and the information unit sent to the next layer after processing by the layer is called the PDU of the layer.
[0091] Specifically, the SDU is an information unit transmitted from a high protocol layer to a low protocol layer, for example, the SDU of the Nth layer and the PDU of the layer above the Nth layer are one-to-one corresponding. The SDU refers to the amount of information received from the N+1 layer entity without being processed by the N layer entity and retaining its identity. The PDU refers to a specific data unit at the N protocol layer, including the protocol control information of the N protocol layer and the possible user data of the N protocol layer.
[0092] 3. Medium Access Control (MAC) layer multiplexing;
[0093] Regardless of space division multiplexing and carrier aggregation, the terminal device can only send one MAC PDU in one transport time interval (TTI), therefore, it is necessary to multiplex the MAC SDUs of multiple logical channels onto the same MAC PDU, which is the origin of MAC layer multiplexing.
[0094] The sending end can multiplex the data of multiple logical channels into one transport channel (TCH) through the multiplexing function of the MAC layer, that is, multiplex multiple MAC SDUs into one MAC PDU, and send it out through the physical layer.
[0095] 4. Priority;
[0096] Logical channels are served in order of priority from high to low.
[0097] 5. Priority bit rate (PBR);
[0098] Used to ensure that the service of the related logical channel reaches its priority bit rate.
[0099] 6. Logical channel restriction;
[0100] Ensure that a certain amount of physical resources is reserved for a given set of logical channels.
[0101] The technical solutions of the present application will be further described in detail below in combination with the drawings. It should be noted that the embodiments in the present application and the features in the embodiments can be arbitrarily combined without conflict.
[0102] Embodiment 1

[0104] In Embodiment 1, the terminal in the present application can be a terminal device, such as a UE, etc. The method run by the terminal is as follows:

[0196] Embodiment 3
[0197] Figure 3 is a diagram illustrating an embodiment of a radio protocol architecture for the user plane 350 and control plane 300. Figure 3 shows three layers for the control plane 300: L1, L2, and L3. The L1 layer is the lowest layer and implements various PHY (Physical layer) signal processing functions. The L1 layer will be referred to as the PHY 301 herein. The L2 layer 305 is above the PHY 301 and includes a MAC (Medium Access Control) sublayer 302, a RLC (Radio Link Control) sublayer 303, and a PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol) sublayer 304. The PDCP sublayer 304 provides multiplexing between different radio bearers and logical channels. The PDCP sublayer 304 also provides security functions, such as ciphering / de-ciphering, and header compression / de-compression. The RLC sublayer 303 provides segmentation and reassembly of upper layer data packets, retransmission of lost data packets, and reordering of data packets to compensate for out-of-order reception due to HARQ. The MAC sublayer 302 provides multiplexing between logical and transport channels. The MAC sublayer 302 is also responsible for allocating the various radio resources (e.g., resource blocks) in one cell. The MAC sublayer 302 is also responsible for HARQ operations. The RRC (Radio Resource Control) sublayer 306 in the L3 layer of the control plane 300 is responsible for obtaining radio resources (i.e., radio bearers) and using RRC signaling to configure the lower layers. The radio protocol architecture for the user plane 350 includes an L1 layer, an L2 layer, and an L3 layer, which are substantially the same as the corresponding layers and sublayers in the control plane 300 for the physical layer 351, the PDCP sublayer 354 in the L2 layer 355, the RLC sublayer 353 in the L2 layer 355, and the MAC sublayer 352 in the L2 layer 355, but the PDCP sublayer 354 also provides header compression for upper layer data packets to reduce radio transmission overhead. Also included in the L2 layer 355 in the user plane 350 is the SDAP (Service Data Adaptation Protocol) sublayer 356, which is responsible for mapping between QoS flows and data radio bearers (DRBs) to support diverse traffic.

[0203] Embodiment 4
[0204] Embodiment 4 illustrates a hardware module diagram of a communication device according to an embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG. 4. FIG. 4 is a block diagram of a first communication device 450 and a second communication device 410 that communicate with each other in an access network.
[0205] The first communication device 450 includes a controller / processor 459, a memory 460, a data source 467, a transmit processor 468, a receive processor 456, a multi-antenna transmit processor 457, a multi-antenna receive processor 458, a transmitter / receiver 454, and an antenna 452.
[0206] The second communication device 410 includes a controller / processor 475, a memory 476, a data source 477, a receive processor 470, a transmit processor 416, a multi-antenna receive processor 472, a multi-antenna transmit processor 471, a transmitter / receiver 418, and an antenna 420.
[0207] In the transmission from the second communication device 410 to the first communication device 450, at the second communication device 410, upper layer packets from a core network or upper layer packets from a data source 477 are provided to a controller / processor 475. The core network and the data source 477 represent all protocol layers above the L2 layer. The controller / processor 475 implements the functionality of the L2 layer. In the transmission from the second communication device 410 to the first communication device 450, the controller / processor 475 provides header compression, ciphering, packet segmentation and reordering, multiplexing between logical and transport channels, and radio resource allocations for the first communication device 450 based on various priority metrics. The controller / processor 475 is also responsible for retransmission of lost packets, and signaling to the first communication device 450. Transmit processor 416 and multiple antenna transmit processor 471 implement various signal processing functions for the LI layer (i.e., physical layer). The transmit processor 416 implements coding and interleaving to facilitate forward error correction (FEC) at the second communication device 410, and mapping of coded bits to signal constellations based on various modulation schemes (e.g., binary phase-shift keying (BPSK), quadrature phase-shift keying (QPSK), M-phase-shift keying (M-PSK), M-quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM)). The multiple antenna transmit processor 471 performs digital spatial pre-coding of the coded and modulated symbols, including codebook-based and non-codebook-based pre-coding, and beamforming processing, generating one or more spatial streams. The transmit processor 416 then maps to each spatial stream to a subcarrier, multiplexes the stream with reference signals (e.g., pilot) in the time and / or frequency domain, and then performs an inverse fast Fourier transform (IFFT) to generate a time-domain multicarrier symbol stream for the physical channel. The multiple antenna transmit processor 471 then performs transmit analog pre-coding / beamforming operations on the time-domain multicarrier symbol stream. Each transmitter 418 converts the baseband multicarrier symbol stream provided by the multiple antenna transmit processor 471 into a radio frequency stream, and then provides the radio frequency stream to a different antenna 420.
[0208] In transmissions from the second communication device 410 to the first communication device 450, at the first communication device 450, each receiver 454 receives a signal through its respective antenna 452. Each receiver 454 recovers information modulated onto an RF carrier and provides the recovered information at baseband as a stream of symbols to a receive processor 456. The receive processor 456 and a multiple access receiver processor 458 implement various signal processing functions of the Ll layer. The multiple access receiver processor 458 performs receive analog precoding / beamforming operations on the baseband multiple carrier symbol stream from the receivers 454. The receive processor 456 converts the baseband multiple carrier symbol stream from the receive analog precoding / beamforming operations from the time domain to the frequency domain using a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). In the frequency domain, the physical layer data signals and the reference signals are demultiplexed from the received signal by the receive processor 456, where the reference signals will be used for channel estimation, and the data signals are recovered after multiple access detection in the multiple access receiver processor 458 for any spatial streams destined for the first communication device 450. The symbols on each spatial stream are demodulated and recovered by the receive processor 456 and soft decisions are generated. The receive processor 456 then decodes and de-interleaves the soft decisions to recover the upper layer data and control signals transmitted by the second communication device 410 on the physical channel. The upper layer data and control signals are then provided to a controller / processor 459. The controller / processor 459 implements the functions of the L2 layer. The controller / processor 459 can be associated with a memory 460 that stores program codes and data. The memory 460 can be referred to as a computer readable medium. In transmissions from the second communication device 410 to the first communication device 450, the controller / processor 459 provides demultiplexing between transport and logical channels, packet reassembly, deciphering, header decompression, control signal processing to recover upper layer data packets from the second communication device 410. The upper layer data packets are then provided to all protocol layers above the L2 layer. Various control signals can also be provided to the L3 for L3 processing.
[0209] In the transmission from the first communication device 450 to the second communication device 410, at the first communication device 450, a data source 467 provides upper layer data packets to a controller / processor 459 using the data source 467. The data source 467 represents all protocol layers above the L2 layer. Similar to the transmit function at the second communication device 410 described in the transmission from the second communication device 410 to the first communication device 450, the controller / processor 459 implements header compression, ciphering, packet segmentation and reordering, and multiplexing between logical and transport channels, L2 layer functionality for the user plane and control plane. The controller / processor 459 is also responsible for retransmission of lost packets, and signaling to the second communication device 410. Transmit processor 468 performs modulation mapping, channel coding processing, multi-antenna transmit processor 457 performs digital multi-antenna spatial precoding, including codebook-based precoding and non-codebook-based precoding, and beamforming processing, and then transmit processor 468 modulates the generated spatial streams into multi-carrier / single-carrier symbol streams, which are further processed by analog precoding / beamforming operations in multi-antenna transmit processor 457 and then provided to different antennas 452 via transmitters 454. Each transmitter 454 first converts the baseband symbol stream provided by multi-antenna transmit processor 457 into a radio frequency signal, and then provides the radio frequency signal to the antenna 452.
[0210] In the transmission from the first communication device 450 to the second communication device 410, the functions at the second communication device 410 are similar to the receive functions at the first communication device 450 described in the transmission from the second communication device 410 to the first communication device 450. Each receiver 418 receives a radio frequency signal through its respective antenna 420, converts the received radio frequency signal into a baseband signal, and provides the baseband signal to multi-antenna receive processor 472 and receive processor 470. Receive processor 470 and multi-antenna receive processor 472 together implement the functionality of the L1 layer. Controller / processor 475 implements the functionality of the L2 layer. Controller / processor 475 can be associated with a memory 476 that stores program codes and data. The memory 476 can be referred to as a computer readable medium. In the transmission from the first communication device 450 to the second communication device 410, controller / processor 475 provides demultiplexing between transport and logical channels, packet reassembly, deciphering, header decompression, control signal processing to recover upper layer data packets from the first communication device 450. Upper layer data packets from controller / processor 475 can be provided to the core network or all protocol layers above the L2 layer, and various control signals can be provided to the core network or L3 for L3 processing.

Among them, step F51 is an optional step.
[0230] For terminal N51, in step S511, a first signaling is received, which is an RRC signaling. The first signaling is sent by the base station N52, which is the maintenance base station of the source cell. In an embodiment, the base station N52 is also the base station of the service cell of N51.
[0231] For base station N52, in step S521, the first signaling is sent, and in step S522, the at least part of the delay critical data to be transmitted is received.
[0232] In particular, the terminal N51 allocates resources for the uplink grant for the delay critical data to be transmitted of at least part of the first logical channel according to the first priority class in step S512. The terminal N51 allocates the remaining resources for the remaining data to be transmitted of at least part of the first logical channel according to the second priority class in step S513, and transmits the delay critical data to be transmitted of at least part of the first logical channel in step S514.
[0233] As an embodiment, the terminal N51 transmits the delay critical data to be transmitted of at least part of the first logical channel to the base station N52, which includes: transmitting the delay critical data to be transmitted of at least part of the first logical channel on the resources allocated for the delay critical data to be transmitted of at least part of the first logical channel according to the first priority class.
[0234] As an embodiment, the remaining data to be transmitted includes delay critical data.
[0235] As an embodiment, the delay critical data can correspond to different PDU sets.
[0236] As a sub-embodiment, the delay critical data has different delay criticalities.
[0237] As an embodiment, the delay critical data has different remaining times.
[0238] As an embodiment, the advantage of the remaining data to be transmitted including delay critical data is that the flexibility of resource allocation of the terminal can be greatly improved.
[0239] In particular, the base station N52 can send the first signaling to the terminal N51. In particular implementation, the first signaling can be an RRC signaling. The RRC signaling can indicate the first priority class of the first logical channel.

[0242] In another embodiment, the terminal N51 can receive the token bucket related parameters corresponding to the LCH set configured by the second signaling or broadcast message.
[0243] As a sub-embodiment, in the case that the terminal N51 is in the RRC connected state, the terminal N51 receives the token bucket related parameters corresponding to the LCH set configured by the second signaling, and the second signaling is an RRC signaling.

[0245] As an embodiment, the first signaling and the second signaling are different information elements (Information Element) in the same RRC signaling.
[0246] As a variant, the first signaling and the second signaling are 2 different RRC signaling.
[0247] As an embodiment, the first logical channel belongs to a logical channel group. The first type priority of any logical channel in the logical channel group depends on the second type priority of the logical channel.
[0248] As an embodiment, the first type priority is higher than the second type priority.
[0249] As an embodiment, the first type priority of the first logical channel is higher than the second type priority of the first logical channel.

[0262] As one embodiment, allowedHARQ-mode, if configured, includes uplink HARQ mode of the HARQ process associated with the UL grant.
[0263] As one embodiment, Bj is a variable maintained for each logical channel j. The MAC entity initializes Bj maintained by it to zero at logical channel establishment.
[0264] As one embodiment, terminal N51 uses the variable Bj for logical channel prioritization LCP procedure: a different instance of Bj is maintained for each logical channel j. The MAC entity initializes the variable Bj for a logical channel to zero at logical channel establishment.
[0265] As one embodiment, prior to each instance of the LCP procedure, for each logical channel j, the MAC entity increments the value of Bj by the product of PBR x T, where T is the time elapsed since the last increment of Bj.
[0266] If the value of Bj is greater than the bucket size (i.e., PBR x BSD), the MAC entity sets Bj to the bucket size. Note that the exact timing at which the UE updates Bj between LCP procedures is up to UE implementation, as long as Bj is up-to-date at the time the grant is processed by LCP.
[0267] Note that the value of Bj can become negative when resources are allocated to logical channel j.
[0268] As one embodiment, when a new transmission is to be performed, the MAC entity of terminal N51 selects, for each UL grant, a logical channel that satisfies all of the following conditions:
[0269] If allowedSubcarrierSpacing (SCS) index values allowed in allowedSCS-List are configured, the subcarrier spacing index related to the UL grant is included.
[0270] If maxPUSCH-Duration is configured, it shall be not less than the PUSCH transmission duration associated with the uplink (UL) scheduling.
[0271] If configuredGrantType1Allowed is configured, configuredGrantType1Allowed shall be set to "true" provided that the UL grant is a configured Type 1 grant.
[0272] If allowedServingCells is configured, allowedServingCells shall contain the Cell information associated with the UL grant.
[0273] In the same MAC entity, when CA duplication is disabled for the DRB in that MAC entity, it does not apply to the logical channel associated with that DRB (i.e. PDCP duplication).
[0274] If allowedCG-List is configured, the configured grant index associated with the UL grant is included.
[0275] If allowedPHY-PriorityIndex is configured, the priority index associated with the dynamic UL grant (as described in TS 38.213 [6] Section 9) is included.
[0276] If allowedHARQ-mode is configured, the allowed UL HARQ mode of the HARQ process associated with the UL grant is included.
[0277] Note: The subcarrier spacing index, PUSCH transmission duration, cell information, and priority index are included in the uplink transmission information received from the lower layer, which are related to the corresponding scheduled uplink transmission.
[0278] As an embodiment, the target MAC entity shall not select a logical channel corresponding to a non-DAPS DRB for an uplink grant received in a Random Access Response (RAR) or for an uplink grant carrying a transport MSGA until the random access procedure for dual active protocol stack (DAPS) handover is successfully completed. The source MAC entity shall only select a logical channel corresponding to a DAPS DRB during DAPS handover.
[0279] As an embodiment, the terminal N51 shall also follow the following rules in the above scheduling procedure:
[0280] The terminal N51 shall not segment an RLC SDU if the entire SDU (or a partially transmitted SDU or a retransmitted RLC PDU) can fit into the remaining resources of the MAC entity associated therewith.
[0281] If the UE segments an RLC SDU from a logical channel, it shall fill the allocation of the MAC entity associated therewith as much as possible with the maximum size of the segments.
[0282] The terminal N51 shall maximize data transmission.
[0283] The MAC entity shall not transmit only padding BSR and / or padding if it is allocated an UL allocation size equal to or larger than 8 bytes (when eLCID is not used) or 10 bytes (when eLCID is used) with available data and allowed to transmit (according to clause 5.4.3.1).
[0284] As an embodiment, the first logical channel belongs to a first logical channel group, and a PBR of any logical channel in the first logical channel group is not infinite.
[0285] As a sub-embodiment, the first logical channel is a radio bearer of the to-be-transmitted data to be transmitted is an SRB.
[0286] As a sub-embodiment, the first logical channel is a radio bearer of the to-be-transmitted data to be transmitted is a DRB.
[0287] As an embodiment, the first type of priority is a temporary priority set for scheduling the delay critical data.
[0288] As a sub-embodiment, the temporary priority refers to an LCP-determined priority, but the determined priority is variable when allocating resources.
[0289] As an embodiment, the first type of priority is temporary.
[0290] As an embodiment, the temporary means that the priority is determined before each LCP or the priority is determined at the time of LCP.
[0291] As an embodiment, any logical channel in the at least one logical channel group corresponds to the first type of priority.
[0292] As an embodiment, there is one logical channel in the at least one logical channel group corresponding to the first type of priority.
[0293] As an embodiment, there is a first logical channel group, which includes the first logical channel, and the first logical channel corresponds to the first type of priority.
[0294] As an embodiment, the first type of priority of any logical channel depends on the data to be transmitted of the logical channel.
[0295] As a sub-embodiment, the first type of priority is used only when the data to be transmitted of any logical channel includes delay critical data.
[0296] As a sub-embodiment, the first type of priority of any logical channel is non-zero only when the data to be transmitted of the logical channel includes delay critical data.
[0297] As an embodiment, the greater the value of the first type of priority, the lower the first type of priority.
[0298] As an embodiment, the first type of priority of any logical channel is equal to the second type of priority of the logical channel + delta, and delta < 0.
[0299] As a variant, for uplink grant, the data to be transmitted of the terminal N51 includes the delay critical data to be transmitted.
[0300] As an embodiment, the data to be transmitted is all delay critical data.
[0301] As another embodiment, the data to be transmitted includes delay critical data and non-delay critical data.
[0302] In an embodiment, the first logical channel transmits the delay critical data to be transmitted.
[0303] In an embodiment, the terminal N51 determines the first variable Bj of the first logical channel. The value of Bj can be greater than 0 or less than 0.
[0304] In particular embodiments, Bj can be negative. If the MAC entity of terminal N51 is requested to transmit multiple MAC PDUs simultaneously, or if the MAC entity receives multiple uplink grants in the same or multiple overlapping PDCCH occasions (i.e. different serving cells), it is up to the implementation of the UE to decide in which order to process the uplink grants.
[0305] As one embodiment, Bj depends on PBR x T, where T represents the time elapsed since Bj was last incremented.
[0306] As one embodiment, Bj depends on delay critical data.
[0307] As one embodiment, Bj is the product of the rate of delay critical data and T.
[0308] As one embodiment, Bj is the amount of data of data less than a time threshold.
[0309] As one embodiment, Bj is the amount of delay critical data less than a time threshold.
[0310] In particular embodiments, for an UL grant, a first variable Bj is determined for the first logical channel, where Bj > 0. The first logical channels with Bj > 0 are assigned resources in decreasing priority order for the data to be transmitted.
[0311] In particular, terminal N51 assigns the resources to at least a portion of the delay critical data to be transmitted in the selected first logical channels with Bj > 0 in the first priority class.
[0312] As one embodiment, the amount of delay critical data to be transmitted is very small. For example, the amount of data is less than or equal to a first threshold. In this case, terminal N51 assigns the resources to all of the delay critical data to be transmitted in the selected first logical channels with Bj > 0 in the first priority class.
[0313] As a variant embodiment, the amount of delay critical data to be transmitted is large. In this case, terminal N51 assigns the resources to a portion of the delay critical data to be transmitted in the selected first logical channels with Bj > 0 in the first priority class.
[0314] In particular embodiments, the amount of the portion of the delay critical data to be transmitted can depend on the implementation of terminal N1 itself. In one embodiment, terminal N1 autonomously determines the amount of the portion of the delay critical data to be transmitted based on the current radio environment, such as temporary network congestion or temporarily deteriorated channel conditions.
[0315] In implementation, the MAC entity of the terminal N1 can select the logical channel satisfying the logical channel priority mapping restriction and the logical channel set to which the logical channel belongs corresponds to Bj>0 when performing new transmission, and allocate resources in the order of the priority degradation of the logical channel. If the PBR of the LCH set to which a logical channel belongs is infinite, the terminal N1 allocates resources for all the data to be transmitted of the logical channel.
[0316] The logical channel priority mapping restriction can refer to a logical channel satisfying a priority requirement, for example, a priority greater than a predetermined priority.
[0317] In one embodiment, the terminal N51 allocates resources for at least one logical channel. Specifically, it can include:
[0318] The terminal N1 selects the logical channel satisfying the logical channel priority mapping restriction and the logical channel set to which the logical channel belongs corresponds to Bj>0, and allocates resources in the order of the first type of priority degradation of the logical channel. If the PBR of a logical channel is set to be infinite, the MAC entity of the terminal N51 will allocate resources for all the data available for transmission on the logical channel before the PBR of a logical channel with a lower priority.
[0319] The terminal N1 reduces Bj by the total size of the MAC SDU served for the logical channel j.
[0320] If there is any resource remaining after the initial allocation of resources, all selected logical channels are served in the order of the second type of priority in strict descending order (regardless of the value of Bj), until the data of the logical channel is exhausted or the UL grant is exhausted, whichever comes first. Note that logical channels configured with the same priority should be served equally.
[0321] As an embodiment, the at least part of the delay critical data to be transmitted is carried by the MAC PDU.
[0322] As an embodiment, the at least part of the delay critical data to be transmitted belongs to a MAC SDU.
[0323] As an embodiment, the remaining resources are the unallocated resources after the at least part of the delay critical data to be transmitted in the first logical channel is allocated resources in the order of the first type of priority.
[0324] As an embodiment, each logical channel with delay critical data to be transmitted has a first type of priority.
[0325] As an embodiment, each logical channel has a second type of priority.
[0326] As an embodiment, the first priority of the first logical channel depends on an importance parameter of the delay critical data to be transmitted.
[0327] In a particular implementation, the importance parameter includes an importance parameter and a low importance parameter.
[0328] In a particular implementation, the importance parameter of the delay critical data to be transmitted is importance, and the value of the first priority of the first logical channel can be set smaller. Conversely, the importance parameter of the delay critical data to be transmitted is low importance, and the value of the first priority of the first logical channel can be set larger.
[0329] As an embodiment, the first priority of the first logical channel depends on a PDU set discard parameter of the delay critical data to be transmitted.
[0330] As a sub-embodiment, the PDU set discard parameter is pdu-SetDiscard.
[0331] As an embodiment, the delay critical data to be transmitted is configured with pdu-SetDiscard, and the expiration of the discard timer of any PDCP SDU belonging to the same PDU set triggers discarding all PDUs of the same PDU set.
[0332] As an embodiment, a PDU set carries one unit of application layer data.
[0333] As an embodiment, a PDU set includes at least one PDU. Typically, a PDU set includes multiple PDUs.
[0334] As an embodiment, the delay critical data to be transmitted is not configured with pdu-SetDiscard, and the expiration of the discard timer of any PDCP SDU belonging to the same PDU set only triggers discarding the any PDCP SDU.
[0335] As an embodiment, the terminal N51 is a user equipment.
[0336] As an embodiment, the terminal N51 is a relay device.
[0337] As an embodiment, the base station N52 is a maintenance node of the first candidate target cell.
[0338] As an embodiment, the base station N52 is one of a TRP, a DU, a CU, and a base station device.
[0339] As an example, the base station N52 is a maintenance node of a source cell or a serving cell of the terminal N51.
[0340] The detailed description of each wireless signal in this embodiment can also refer to the related description in Embodiment 1.
[0341] Embodiment 6
[0342] Embodiment 6 illustrates an example of allocating resources for logical channels according to priorities according to an embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG. 6.
[0343] Embodiment 6 illustrates allocating resources for four logical channels according to the first type of priority and the second type of priority, and the present application does not limit the number of logical channels. In Embodiment 6, the first type of priority of the first logical channel is equal to 1, the first type of priority of the second logical channel is equal to 2, the first type of priority of the third logical channel is equal to 3, and the first type of priority of the fourth logical channel is equal to 4; the second type of priority of the first logical channel is equal to 6, the second type of priority of the third logical channel is equal to 6, and the second type of priority of the fourth logical channel is equal to 4; the greater the value of the priority, the smaller the priority. The above priority values are only to illustrate how to allocate resources according to priorities in the case of different priorities, and how to determine the first type of priority and the second type of priority can be referred to other parts of the present application.
[0344] As an example, the first allocation in FIG. 6 refers to allocating resources for at least part of the delay critical data to be transmitted in the first logical channel according to the first type of priority.
[0345] As an example, the second allocation in FIG. 6 refers to allocating the remaining resources for at least part of the remaining data to be transmitted in the first logical channel according to the second type of priority.
[0346] As an example, before the first allocation, the data to be transmitted in the first logical channel includes non-delay critical data and delay critical data; the data to be transmitted in the second logical channel includes delay critical data; the data to be transmitted in the third logical channel includes non-delay critical data and delay critical data; and the data to be transmitted in the fourth logical channel includes non-delay critical data.
[0347] As an example, in the first allocation, the first logical channel is allocated resources first, followed by the second logical channel, then the third logical channel, and finally the fourth logical channel.
[0348] As an example, in the first allocation, all part of the delay critical data and part of the non-delay critical data in the first logical channel are allocated resources.
[0349] As one embodiment, the terminal determines whether to allocate resources for non-delay critical data in the first allocation according to how many resources are left. For example, when the resources left are more than a predetermined threshold, such as more than the resources determined by the PBR, or more than 65% of the total resources, resources can be allocated for non-delay critical data.
[0350] As one embodiment, in the first allocation, only delay critical data in the data to be transmitted of the first logical channel is allocated resources.
[0351] As one embodiment, in the first allocation, both delay critical data and non-delay critical data in the data to be transmitted of the first logical channel can be allocated resources.
[0352] As one embodiment, in the first allocation, delay critical data of the second logical channel is allocated resources.
[0353] As one sub-embodiment of this embodiment, in the first allocation, all delay critical data of the second logical channel is allocated resources.
[0354] As one embodiment, in the first allocation, only delay critical data of the third logical channel is allocated resources.
[0355] As one embodiment, in the first allocation, the fourth logical channel is not allocated resources.
[0356] As one embodiment, when the data to be transmitted of a logical channel does not include delay critical data, the first priority of the logical channel is equal to the second priority.
[0357] As one embodiment, when the data to be transmitted of a logical channel does not include delay critical data, the logical channel does not participate in the first allocation.
[0358] As one embodiment, in the second allocation, the fourth logical channel is allocated resources first, then the first logical channel, and finally the third logical channel.
[0359] As one embodiment, in the second allocation, part of the non-delay critical data of the fourth logical channel is allocated resources.
[0360] As one embodiment, in the second allocation, part of the non-delay critical data of the first logical channel is allocated resources.
[0361] As one embodiment, in the second allocation, all delay critical data and part of the non-delay critical data of the third logical channel is allocated resources.
[0362] As one embodiment, in the second allocation, the delay critical data of any logical channel is not prioritized over the non-delay critical data of said any logical channel.
[0363] As one embodiment, in the second allocation, the delay critical data of any logical channel is prioritized over the non-delay critical data of said any logical channel.
[0364] As one embodiment, in the second allocation, whether the delay critical data of any logical channel is prioritized over the non-delay critical data of said any logical channel depends on the implementation of the terminal.
[0365] As one embodiment, if the first type of priority of two logical channels are equal, the non-delay critical data of the other logical channel is not allocated resources until the delay critical data of one of the two logical channels is still to be transmitted.
[0366] As one embodiment, if the second type of priority of two logical channels are equal, the non-delay critical data of the other logical channel is not allocated resources until the delay critical data of one of the two logical channels is still to be transmitted.
[0367] As one embodiment, if the second type of priority of two logical channels are equal, the non-delay critical data of the other logical channel can be allocated resources until the delay critical data of one of the two logical channels is still to be transmitted.
[0368] As one embodiment, if the second type of priority of two logical channels are equal, whether the non-delay critical data of the other logical channel is allocated resources until the delay critical data of one of the two logical channels is still to be transmitted depends on the implementation of the terminal.
[0369] Embodiment 7

[0371] As one embodiment, the first type of priority of any logical channel is derived from the second type of priority of said any logical channel.
[0372] As one embodiment, the first type of priority of any logical channel is not lower than the second type of priority of said any logical channel.
[0373] As one embodiment, the first type of priority of the first logical channel is derived from the second type of priority of the first logical channel.

[0378] As one sub-embodiment of this embodiment, the D1 is a negative number.
[0379] As one sub-embodiment of this embodiment, the D1 is an integer.
[0380] As one embodiment, the D1 depends on a remaining time of a first data in delay-critical data in the to-be-transmitted data of the first logical channel.
[0381] As one sub-embodiment of this embodiment, the first data is a data with a smallest remaining time in the to-be-transmitted data of the first logical channel.
[0382] As one sub-embodiment of this embodiment, the first data is a data with a smallest remaining time in data with a remaining time greater than a first specific threshold in the to-be-transmitted data of the first logical channel.
[0383] As one sub-embodiment of this embodiment, the first specific threshold is configured by a network.
[0384] As one embodiment, the D1 has a mapping relationship with the remaining time of the first data.
[0385] As one embodiment, the D1 has an inverse relationship with the remaining time of the first data.
[0386] As one embodiment, the D1 is a fixed value.
[0387] As one embodiment, the D1 is configured by a network.
[0388] As one embodiment, the D1 depends on whether the to-be-transmitted delay-critical data of the first logical channel is configured with pdu-setDiscard.
[0389] As an embodiment, the D1 depends on whether the delay critical data to be transmitted of the first logical channel is configured with pdu-setDiscard, including: when the delay critical data to be transmitted of the first logical channel is configured with pdu-setDiscard, the first D1 is a first candidate value; when the delay critical data to be transmitted of the first logical channel is not configured with pdu-setDiscard, the first D1 is a second candidate value.
