Abstract

This utility model discloses an insulating mounting and protection device for a guide wire. The device positions the guide wire below the existing cable in a bent position. The device includes an insulating rod held by the worker, and mounting units, a guide wire end crimping unit, and a guide wire mid-section crimping unit on the rod. The top of the insulating rod is fixed with the mounting unit for attaching and positioning the overall insulating mounting and protection device to the existing cable. The middle section of the insulating rod is adjustable and connected to the guide wire end crimping unit, which constrains the bent position of the guide wire end. The lower part of the insulating rod is adjustable and connected to the mid-section crimping unit, which constrains the mid-section of the guide wire. This protective device is lightweight, has good insulation performance, and is robust and reliable. It effectively prevents the guide wire from swaying in the wind. Furthermore, after the guide wire is constrained and positioned, it minimizes the risk of the guide wire being pulled while the insulated bucket truck is moving, greatly improving the efficiency and safety of live-line work.
