Abstract
Injectable single-bilayer vesicle compositions encapsulating enfumafungin-derived triterpenoid antifungal compounds can be administered intravenously for the treatment or prevention of fungal infections, while having reduced local injection site reactions (ISRs). The enfumafungin-derived triterpenoid antifungal compounds are inhibitors of (1,3)-β-D-glucan synthesis and are useful in the treatment or prevention of fungal infections, such as systemic fungal infections, including those caused by Candida and Aspergillus species.
