Abstract
The invention relates to an ultrapure sucrose, i.e. a sucrose with a low level of nanoparticulate impurities (NPI), such as below 105 nanoparticles per gram of sucrose, as well as a method for preparing ultrapure sucrose. The invention further relates to a method for preparing pharmaceutical or diagnostic compositions containing the ultrapure sucrose, and the use of such compositions in the diagnosis or treatment of a human or non-human animal.
