Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a support fitting for roof accessories which is fastened to roof tiles on a roof surface, comprising an upper part and a lower part, which are arranged respectively on an upper side and a lower side of the roof tile, fastening means for connecting the upper part and the lower part to one another, wherein the lower part comprises a retaining bracket which has a number of hook-shaped bracket ends which are adapted to clamp substantially around respective roof battens for a removable fastening of the fitting and roof tile to the same roof battens, and wherein the upper part is adapted to grip a fastening part of the roof accessory.

[0002] From the prior art, reference is made to NO 309054 B1, issued in the name of the present applicant, which shows a device for fastening roof covering elements, in particular roof tiles, to a fastening base, such as roof battens. The device comprises an upper part and a lower part, which are arranged respectively on an upper side and a lower side of the roof tile, as well as fastening means for connecting the upper part and the lower part to one another. The interconnected upper and lower parts produce an adjustable fastening body with which the roof tile can be removably fastened to one or more roof battens of the roof surface. Furthermore, the lower part of the fastening member comprises a retaining bracket with a number of projecting, hook-shaped bracket ends, which are adapted to substantially engage around and tighten against a predetermined number of roof battens.

[0003] In NO 309054 B1, an upper part is shown with a shape that corresponds to the curvature of the roof tile, but this upper part is not particularly suitable for absorbing forces from, for example, a solar collector system.

[0004] From DE 33 45 410 A1 a mounting fitting is known with an upper part and a lower part, wherein at least a part of the upper part is provided with a groove-like and elongated shape with corresponding side edges.

[0005] DE 198 18 301 C2 (ETERNIT AG) relates to a mounting system for roof accessories which is attached to the top side of the roof tile, the system comprising a lower part on the underside of the roof tile and an upper part on the top side for mutual connection by a bolt connection.

[0006] AT 183932 B (EISLER, Josef) shows a roof tile which is equipped on the underside with projections / brackets adapted to the respective roof battens and which is equipped on the upper side with a gutter-like bracket which fits to the bracket of the roof equipment.

[0007] Roof fittings installed on roofs with concrete or tile roof tiles perforate the roof where the tiles overlap, either at the trailing edge or on the side. This results in the roof not being as airtight as it would be without such fittings, and the tiles are more prone to breakage. Conventional fixing systems typically require the installation of additional battens, plates, etc., to ensure adequate attachment to the roof structure. Additionally, different fixing systems exist depending on whether the goal is to absorb forces directed downwards onto the roof, such as with snow guards or a walkway, or whether the forces are directed upwards, such as with an installed solar panel exposed to wind forces.

[0008] The invention aims to create a universal roof mounting solution that can be used to attach all types of roof accessories, both those that impose a load on the roof and those that cause elevation (e.g., solar panel systems). The mounting bracket should be able to be attached to the existing roof battens without the need for additional wooden or steel battens. The system should also be able to handle different batten thicknesses and vary the batten spacing. The upper part is attached to the lower part so that, under load, the lower part transfers the forces to the underlying battens. This serves to prevent roof tiles from breaking.

[0009] The developed product solves the problems of the invention. The connection to the underlying roof battens can be made through a hole in the roof tiles. This hole connects the lower part to the roof tile using a screw with a seal. This ensures a fastening that is just as tight as if no roof accessories were present. Upper parts, which are attached to the screw that connects the lower part to the roof tile, transfer the forces to the roof tile where it has underlying roof battens. This minimizes the risk of roof tile breakage.

[0010] The above object is achieved by a mounting fitting as specified in the independent claim, wherein it is specified that the mounting fitting for roof accessories to be fastened to roof tiles (roof stones) on a roof surface comprises an upper part and a lower part, which are arranged respectively on an upper side and a lower side of the roof tile, and fastening means for connecting the upper part and the lower part to each other, wherein the lower part comprises a retaining bracket having a number of hook-shaped bracket ends adapted to clamp substantially around respective roof battens for a detachable fastening of the fitting and the roof tile to the same roof battens, and that the upper part is adapted to grip the fastening part of the roof equipment. The invention is characterized in that at least a part of the upper part is formed with a gutter-like and elongated shape with corresponding side edges and is arranged to bear against the roof tile and that a front part of the upper part comprises a raised and projecting area which is arranged to be arranged over a roof tile which lies above the roof tile to which the fitting is attached.

[0011] Alternative embodiments are specified in the dependent claims.

[0012] The side edges of the upper section may taper toward the rear. Furthermore, the upper section is preferably equipped with fasteners for attaching roof accessories.

[0013] A central portion of the bracket of the lower part can extend along a side edge of the lower part and be rotatably mounted in respective brackets. Furthermore, an upper bracket end can protrude through a slot in the lower part, where a clamping device is arranged, which is designed to rotate the bracket so that the respective bracket ends clamp against the roof battens.

[0014] Said fastening means may be a bolt attached to the lower part and configured to extend through an opening in the roof tile and through an opening in the upper part, the parts being coupled together by a nut. The bolt and / or the nut may be equipped with a seal. Furthermore, the bolt may be equipped with a second nut for securing the roof accessory.

[0015] The mentioned bracket ends preferably extend transversely to the respective roof battens and can have different lengths, whereby the lower bracket end can be longer than the upper bracket end.

[0016] The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which, Fig. 1 shows the mounting fitting according to the invention in perspective. Fig. 2 shows a section of the mounting fitting according to the invention. Fig. 3 shows a lower part of the mounting bracket, which in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 is shown. Fig. 4 the mounting bracket, which is Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 and which is attached to a roof tile, seen from the top of the roof tile. Fig. 5 the mounting bracket, which is Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 and which is attached to a roof tile, seen from the underside of the roof tile. Fig. 6 shows the mounting fitting according to the invention, which is attached to a roof tile and to the respective roof battens and is equipped with roof accessories.

[0017] As the figures show, the present invention comprises a fastening fitting 10 in the form of a lower part 14 and an upper part 12, which are fastened to a bottom and a top side, respectively, of a roof tile 50. Most roof tiles 50 are equipped with a curved bottom and top side, and therefore the lower part 14 can be provided with side edges 30a, 30b that can rest against the underside of the roof tile. At one of the side edges 30a, a support bracket 18 can be rotatably arranged by a number of brackets 32a, 33b, wherein a central part of the support bracket runs along the side edge and an upper bracket end 18a extends downwards through the first slot 34, while a lower bracket end 18b extends downwards through the second slot 38. The designations "upper" and "lower" here refer to the relationship to the placement of the roof tile on a roof.

[0018] Adjacent to the first slot 34, a tensioning device 36 can be arranged, which is fastened to a part of the bracket end by means of, for example, a bolt and a plate and is designed to be tensioned for rotation of the bracket bracket about the brackets 32a, 32b, so that the respective bracket ends 18a, 18b press against the underside of the associated roof battens 52a, 52b. The latter is shown in Fig. 6. Furthermore, the bracket ends can advantageously have different lengths, with the lower bracket end 18b being longer than the upper bracket end 18a. The advantage of this is that the fastening, at least within a certain distance, can be carried out independently of the distance between the roof battens 52a, 52b.

[0019] To attach the lower part 14 to the roof tiles, it is provided with fastening means 16. These can be, for example, one or more bolts 16 equipped with a nut 16a, wherein the bolt is guided through an opening in the roof tile 50 and screwed tight with the aid of the nut. Likewise, the bolt can be equipped with a second nut 16b to attach the upper part 12 to the lower part 14, and the upper part can be provided with an opening for guiding it onto the bolt. The bolt 16 and / or the nuts 16a, 16b can be equipped with seals to protect against the ingress of moisture.

[0020] After at least the lower part 14 is attached to the roof tile 50, as shown in the Fig. 5, the bracket ends 18a, 18b can be easily guided under the roof battens 52a, 52b and tightened by means of the tensioning device 36. The upper part 12 can then be fastened to the lower part, whereby this can possibly also be done before the installation of the roof tile, as shown in the Fig. 4. A further advantage of the shape of the bracket ends, i.e., that the lower bracket end 18b is significantly longer than the upper bracket end 18a, is that one is not dependent on a specific distance between the roof battens 52a, 52b or on the installation of an additional roof batten. Thus, there is no limitation to the extension of the lower bracket end, apart from the fact that it is expedient that it does not protrude from the underside of the roof tile.

[0021] The upper part 12 is shaped to hold the roof accessory 54, at least one holder of the roof accessory, and is designed together with the lower part to absorb pressure, tensile and bending forces generated by the roof accessory. For this purpose, the upper part 12 can be elongated and equipped with side edges 20a, 20b, so that a channel-like shape is formed, which can contain the holder of the roof accessory and which provides good lateral support. The side edges 20a, 20b can narrow towards the rear edge of the upper part 12, i.e., decrease in height. The rear edge here refers to the right part of the upper part, which, for example, in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. The upper part 12 can further be provided with a raised and projecting area 22, wherein the area 22 can lie above a roof tile that is located above the roof tile to which the fitting 10 is mounted. The side edges can taper accordingly towards the front edge of the upper part. The special design of the upper part 12 ensures that the holder for the roof accessory is securely located in the upper part and that the upper part rests stably on the roof tiles.

[0022] In the Fig. 6, the roof accessory is shown in the form of a mounting bracket for a snow guard, but as mentioned, the roof accessory can be any roof accessory that is attached to a roof.
