Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a separating clamp having a clamp housing, a busbar having two parts and a separating blade which is pivotably mounted in the clamp housing. The first part has a first connecting fork arranged on the end side and having a cutout, and the second part has a second connecting fork arranged on the end side and having a cutout. The cutting blade is pivotable about a pivot axis between a cutting position and a connecting position, wherein in the connecting position the cutting blade is arranged in the respective recesses of the first and second connecting forks and is electrically connected to them in each case, and wherein in the cutting position the cutting blade is electrically separated from at least one of the connecting forks. An outer contour of the separating blade has a first insertion edge and a second insertion edge, by means of which the separating blade can be pivoted into the recesses of the first and second connecting forks during pivoting from the separating position into the connecting position. Insulation displacement terminals have been known for many years and are used for wiring electrical installations and devices. The separating clamps are usually latched onto support rails which can be arranged, for example, in a switchgear cabinet. From the prior art in the form of DE 1 197 152 A a generic separating clamp according to the preamble of claim 1 of the present invention is known. The disconnect clamp comprises a clamp housing, a bus bar having a first section and a second section, and a disconnect knife mounted in the clamp housing. The first part has a first connecting fork arranged on the end side and having a cutout, and the second part has a second connecting fork arranged on the end side and likewise having a cutout. In the separating clamp disclosed in DE 1 197 152 A, a distance of the pivot axis of the separating blade from the connecting forks is selected such that the first insertion edge of the separating blade, which has a smaller distance from the pivot axis than the second insertion edge of the separating blade, also always penetrates into the recess of the connecting fork from above, i.e. via the end face of the connecting fork, during pivoting from the separating position into the connecting position. This ensures reliable connection of the two parts of the busbar by means of the isolating blade. As already mentioned at the beginning, a plurality of separating clamps are arranged adjacent to one another in switch cabinets by virtue of the separating clamps being latched onto mounting rails, with the result that more complex electrical installations can also be wired. Due to the limited space within a switchgear cabinet, it is advantageous if the individual disconnect terminals are of compact construction, so that an increased number of disconnect terminals can be arranged in a limited installation space. In order for a separating clamp to be of compact construction along its depth extension, a distance between the connecting pins forming the connecting forks must be small. In order for a separating clamp to be of compact construction both along its longitudinal extent and along its vertical extent, the distance of the pivot axis from the outer contour of the separating blade must likewise be small. However, if in the separating clamp known from DE 1 197 152 A the distance of the pivot axis to the outer contour of the separating blade and also to the end faces of the connecting forks were reduced, this would lead to the problem that the separating blade no longer enters the recesses of the connecting forks via the end faces of the connecting forks, but rather would pivot into the recess of the connecting forks via lateral openings of the connecting forks. This in turn can lead to the separating blade not entering the recesses of the connecting forks, but pressing against the connecting fork and possibly deforming and damaging the latter, so that a reliable electrical connection of the two parts of the busbar to one another is no longer ensured.Furthermore, in the case of separating clamps known from the prior art, there is the problem that the positioning of the current bars which end in the connecting forks must be very precise within the clamp housing so that the separating blade can always penetrate between the connecting pins of the connecting forks during the pivoting from the separating position into the connecting position. Due to the compact dimensions of the separating clamps, an inaccurate positioning of the current beams inevitably leads to the separating blade abutting against a connecting pin of one of the connecting forks when the separating blade is pivoted from the separating position into the connecting position, as a result of which, on the one hand, no reliable electrical connection of the current beams is achieved and, on the other hand, there is a risk of permanent deformation of the connecting forks. In order to overcome this problem, it is known from the prior art that a great outlay is involved in terms of the positioning of the current bar / beams within the terminal housing. It is thus known from the prior art to carry out the positioning of the current bars by means of a latching or by means of a caulking in the terminal housing, so that the cutting blade does not strike against one of the connecting pins of the connecting forks when pivoted from the cutting position into the connecting position. However, a corresponding latching or caulking of the current bars in the terminal housing is very complicated.A separating clamp is known from DE 10 2008 014 176 A1 having a clamp housing, having a busbar consisting of two sections, having two conductor connection elements for connecting a respective conductor to a section of the busbar and having a separating blade pivotably mounted in the clamp housing, wherein the two sections are connected to one another in a first position of the separating blade and are separated from one another in a second position of the separating blade, and wherein the ends of the sections of the busbar remote from the conductor connection elements are bent such that, in the first position of the separating blade, the end of the first section of the busbar contacts the separating blade at an upper contact region and the end of the second section of the busbar contacts the separating blade at a lower contact region. The pivot axis of the separating blade is arranged between an upper contact region and a lower contact region. In the second position of the isolating blade, both the end of the first section of the busbar is spaced apart from the upper contact region of the isolating blade and the end of the second section of the busbar is spaced apart from the lower contact region of the isolating blade.DE 10 2010 052 871 A1 shows an electrical connection terminal having a first current bar which connects an associated connection device to an associated bridging contact and having a second current bar which connects an associated connection device to an associated bridging contact. A bridging device is provided which can be transferred from a bridging position into at least one separating position. In the bypass position, the bypass contact of the first current bar is connected to the bypass contact of the second current bar. The bridging device is secured in the bridging position by a securing device which can be released by an unlocking device in order to enable the bridging device to be transferred from the bridging position into the separating position.Separating and measuring terminals with pivotable separating knives are also known from the WAGO Main Catalog Volume 1, Issue 2012 / 2013 Series Terminal Systems, pages 103, 108 and 202, Minde.Furthermore, DE 20 2011 108 572 U1 discloses an adapter for the electrically conductive contacting of at least one busbar in a terminal block, which adapter has an insulating material housing, an adapter receiving opening extending in an adapter insertion direction for receiving a first elongate contact section of the adapter and at least two busbars arranged above one another in the adapter insertion direction, wherein the adapter has a first elongate contact section provided for insertion into the adapter receiving opening, which is surrounded at least partially by insulating material jacket and has a second contact section arranged offset from the first elongate contact section, which is shorter than the first elongate contact section and has a flat, leaf-shaped contact region for immersion into a gap between two contact arms of a fork contact on the upper busbar.DE 10 2008 020 984 A1 shows a connection terminal for connecting electrical conductors, having an insulating material housing with conductor insertion openings formed thereon, having spring force clamping connections which are aligned with the conductor insertion openings for clamping electrical conductors inserted through the conductor insertion openings and are connected to busbar sections extending in the insulating material housing, and having at least one current path separating element which has an electrically conductive contact and is mounted pivotably on the insulating material housing in such a way that, in a switching position in which the current path separating element is pivoted with the contacts projecting into the insulating material housing, the contact makes contact with two busbar sections which are separated from one another and connects these in an electrically conductive manner. In a disconnection position, the contact disconnects the electrically conductive connection of the busbar sections. A resilient latching section protrudes on the insulating material housing. The current path separating element has a latching nose, wherein the latching section and the latching nose are aligned with one another such that, when the current path separating element is pivoted in the direction of the switching position, the latching nose abuts against a bearing edge of the latching section which is in the sprung-back rest position and thus prevents pivoting into the switching position.Further separating clamps with separating knives are known from EP 1 953 869 A2 and DE 10 2012 009 286 A1.The object of the present invention is to make a generic separating clamp more compact, while it should also be ensured that, when the separating blade is pivoted from the separating position into the connecting position, the parts of the busbar are reliably connected to one another. The object underlying the present invention is achieved by a separating clamp having the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims. The separating clamp according to the invention is characterized in that the outer contour of the separating blade is concave in the region of the first insertion edge which is at the smaller distance from the pivot axis.In the generic separating clamp, the outer contour of the separating blade consequently has a first insertion edge and a second insertion edge, wherein, when the separating blade is pivoted from the separating position into the connecting position, the separating blade can be pivoted via the first insertion edge into the recess of the first connecting fork and via the second insertion edge into the recess of the second connecting fork. In the connecting position of the isolating blade, the two parts of the busbar are consequently in electrical contact with one another. An electrical separation of the two parts takes place in that the separating blade is no longer arranged in one of the recesses of the first connecting fork and / or of the second connecting fork. It is of course also possible that in the separating position of the separating knife it is arranged neither in the recess of the first connecting fork nor in the recess of the second connecting fork. The separating blade usually consists of an electrically conductive material. The electrically conductive material is usually a metal, in particular copper. The connecting forks each have two connecting fingers / connecting pins, which are usually designed to be elastic, so that a distance between the connecting fingers can be changed. The separating blade can consequently be pivoted or introduced into the connecting fork with elastic deformation of the connecting fork. The generic isolation terminal usually further comprises two conductor connection points for electrically connecting a respective conductor to a section of the busbar. The concave outer contour of the separating blade in the region of the first insertion edge ensures that, despite a small distance of the pivot axis of the separating blade from the end faces of the connecting forks, an insertion of the first insertion edge into the first connecting fork via the end face of the connecting fork continues to be ensured when the separating blade is pivoted from the separating position into the connecting position. This is because the concave outer contour of the cutting blade in the region of the first insertion edge will only cause the insertion edge to enter the first connecting fork when the cutting blade is pivoted shortly before the connecting position is reached, so that an insertion of the cutting blade into the first connecting fork via its end side is ensured. The more concave the outer contour of the separating blade in the region of the first insertion edge, the later the separating blade enters the recess of the connecting fork in the sense of the pivoting movement of the separating blade into its connecting position.Preferably, a first distance of an end side of the first connecting fork to a plane spanned by the pivot axis and a longitudinal axis of the disconnect clamp housing can be greater than a second distance of an end side of the second connecting fork to the plane. In a correspondingly configured separating clamp, the first connecting fork, which in a plan view of the separating clamp, i.e. when viewed parallel to a height extension of the separating clamp, has a smaller distance from the pivot axis than the second connecting fork, is configured shorter than the second connecting fork, so that when viewed along the longitudinal axis of the separating clamp housing, the distance of the end side of the first connecting fork from the pivot axis is greater than the distance of the end side of the second connecting fork from the pivot axis.A corresponding design of the separating clamp also ensures that the first insertion edge of the separating blade is pivoted into the recess of the first connecting fork via its end face when the separating blade is pivoted from the separating position into its connecting position. Since the first distance of the end face of the first connecting fork toward the plane is greater than the second distance of the end face of the second connecting fork toward the plane, it is ensured that the first insertion edge, upon pivoting of the cutting blade from the cutting position into the connecting position, enters the recess of the first connecting fork so to speak "delayed". Due to this "delayed" entry of the first insertion edge into the recess, it is ensured that the first insertion edge is pivoted into the recess thereof via the end face of the first connecting fork.Further preferably, in the connecting position of the separating blade, the first insertion edge can have a smaller penetration depth into the recess of the first connecting fork than a penetration depth of the second insertion edge into the recess of the second connecting fork. The penetration depth is understood to mean the length of the section of the connecting fork measured from its end face as far as the insertion edge of the parting blade which has entered the recess of the connecting fork in its connecting position. In a corresponding embodiment of the separating clamp, it is also ensured that the first insertion edge of the separating blade enters over the end face of the first insertion edge when the separating blade is pivoted from the separating position into the connecting position. The penetration depth is determined on the one hand by the length of the connecting fork and on the other hand by the geometry of the separating knife in the region of the first insertion edge.Preferably, the first insertion edge and / or the second insertion edge of the cutting blade / s has at least one chamfer. By a corresponding configuration of the insertion edge / edges, an insertion of the parting blade into the recesses of the connecting forks via the insertion edge / edges is considerably simplified, so that a reliable connection of the parts of the busbar by means of the parting blade is made possible.Further preferably, the first connecting fork and / or the second connecting fork has at least one insertion chamfer in their respective end regions, so that the connecting fork / the connecting forks form an insertion funnel in their end regions. A corresponding design of the separating clamp also ensures that the separating blade can be introduced in a simplified manner via its introduction edges into the recesses of the connecting forks, so that a reliable connection of the parts of the busbar by means of the separating blade is made possible.Further preferably, a contacting projection is provided in the first connecting fork and / or the second connecting fork, which in the connecting position of the parting blade enters into a frictional and / or positive connection with the latter. Preferably, for this purpose, a recess can be provided in the separating blade, in which recess the contacting projection engages. In the case of a corresponding configuration of the separating clamp, a reliable retention of the separating blade in its connecting position is ensured independently of the orientation of the separating clamp, so that an unintentional electrical separation of the parts of the busbar is reliably avoided.Further advantages, details and features of the invention will become apparent from the exemplary embodiment explained below. In this context, the following show in detail: FIG. 1 : a perspective illustration of a separating clamp known from the prior art in a sectional illustration; FIG. 2 : a perspective illustration of a partial enlargement of the separating clamp illustrated in FIG. 1 in the region of a separating blade, wherein the separating blade is in its separating position; FIG. 3 a : the separating clamp illustrated in FIG. 2 viewed along a longitudinal extent of the separating clamp, wherein the separating blade assumes a position located between a connecting position and the separating position; FIG. 3 b : shows the separating clamp illustrated in FIG. 3 a viewed along a depth extension of the clamp housing; FIG. 3 c : shows the separating clamp shown in FIG. 3 a, wherein the separating blade abuts against a connecting fork; FIG. 4a shows the separating blade shown in FIGS. 1 to 3c in a perspective illustration; FIG. 4 b : shows the cutting blade shown in FIG. 4 a in a lateral illustration; FIG. 5 a : shows a partial representation of a separating clamp according to the invention in a three-dimensional representation, wherein the separating blade assumes a position located between the connecting position of the undercut position; and FIG. 5 b : shows the separating blade of the separating clamp according to the invention in a lateral illustration. In the description which follows, the same reference numerals designate the same components or the same features, so that a description with respect to a component carried out with respect to a figure also applies to the other figures, so that a repetitive description is avoided. Furthermore, individual features that have been described in connection with an embodiment can also be used separately in other embodiments. In the following, the mode of operation of a separating clamp 1 known from the prior art is explained with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4 b, wherein this mode of operation is also applicable to a separating clamp 1 according to the invention. The separating clamp 1 according to the invention only differs from the separating clamp 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 band known from the prior art in the form of a separating blade 40.As can be seen from the figures and in particular from FIG. 1, the separating clamp 1 comprises a clamp housing 3 which has a longitudinal extent along a longitudinal axis x, a vertical extent along a height axis y and a depth extent along a depth axis z. The separating clamp 1 further comprises a busbar 10 comprising a first part 11 and a second part 12 which are spatially separated from one another, and a separating blade 40 pivotably mounted in the clamp housing 3. The terminal housing 3 has two conductor insertion openings 5, via which electrical conductors, not shown in the figures, can be introduced into the terminal housing 3 and brought into electrical contact with the sections 11, 12 of the busbar 10. The first part 11 of the busbar 10 has a first connecting fork 21 arranged on the end side and having a cutout 31, and the second part 12 has a second connecting fork 22 arranged on the end side and likewise having a cutout 31. The connecting forks 21, 22 are formed by two mutually opposite connecting fingers or connecting pins 30, the mutual distance of which can be varied on account of the elastic configuration of the connecting forks 21, 22.The separating blade 40 has an electrically conductive contacting body 44 and an insulating housing 45 enclosing the latter in an actuation region or handling region of the separating blade 40, which is designed to be electrically insulating. The separating blade 40 is pivotable between a separating position and a connecting position about a pivot axis 47 defined by a pivot pin 46, wherein the pivot pin 46 is arranged in a bearing shell of the clamp housing 3 provided for this purpose. FIGS. 1 and 2 show the cutting blade 40 in a cutting position which is defined in that the cutting blade 40 is electrically separated from at least one of the connecting forks 21, 22. In the representations according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the separating blade 40, more specifically the contacting body 44, is electrically separated from both the first connecting fork 21 and the second connecting fork 22.The cutting blade 40 is pivotable about the pivot axis 47 from the cutting position into a connecting position. In the connecting position, the separating blade 40, more specifically the contact-making body 44 of the separating blade 40, is arranged in the respective recesses 31 of the first connecting fork 21 and the second connecting fork 22 and is in each case electrically connected thereto. For pivoting the separating blade 40, more precisely the contacting body 44, into the first connecting fork 21 and into the second connecting fork 22, the separating blade 44 has an outer contour which has a first insertion edge 41 and a second insertion edge 42. The cutting blade 40 can be pivoted into the recesses 31 of the first and second connecting forks in 21, 22 via the first and second insertion edges 41, 42 when pivoted from the cutting position into the connecting position. The pivoting process of the separating blade 40 into the recesses 31 of the connecting forks 21, 22 is illustrated in detail in FIGS. 3 aand 3 b. It is evident that in the separating clamp 1 known from the prior art, due to the small distance of the pivot axis 47 both along the longitudinal axis x and along the height axis y toward an end face 32 of the first connecting fork 21, the first insertion edge 41 does not enter the recess 31 of the first connecting fork 21 via the end face 32 but via a lateral opening. This may lead to the problem illustrated in FIG. 3 cwhen the cutter 40 is not properly operated and is not positioned in the middle between the two connecting pins 30 of the first connecting fork 21. In this case, the first insertion edge 41 abuts against the connecting pin 30, which is shown on the left in FIG. 3 c, whereby this connecting pin and thus also the first insertion fork 21 can be deformed. Thus, a reliable electrical contacting of the two parts 11 and 12 of the busbar 10 is not provided. Furthermore, it is also possible that a permanent deformation of the first connecting fork 21 and / or also of the second connecting fork 22 can take place. The fact that the separating blade 40 is not positioned or pivoted in correctly between the two connecting pins 30 of the first connecting fork 21 and, if appropriate, also not between the connecting pins 30 of the second connecting fork 22 can also have the reason that the parts 11, 12 of the busbar to be connected to one another, the ends of which are formed as the first connecting fork 21 and the second connecting fork 22, are not positioned correctly in the terminal housing 3. As a result, the cutting blade 40 inevitably abuts against a connecting pin 30 of the first connecting fork 21 and / or the second connecting fork 22.The separating clamp 1 according to the invention has a separating blade 40 with the geometry shown in FIGS. 5 aand 5 b. The outer contour of the separating blade 40, more precisely the outer contour of the contacting body 44, is concave in the region of the first insertion edge 41, which has the smaller distance from the pivot axis 47 compared to the distance of the second insertion edge 42 from the pivot axis 47. Although not shown in the figures, it is also possible for the outer contour of the cutting blade 40 to be formed substantially obliquely with respect to the longitudinal corner extension of the cutting blade 40 in the region of the first insertion edge 41.Due to the concave configuration of the outer contour of the separating blade 40 in the region of the first insertion edge 41, it is still ensured, despite the small distance of the end face 32 from the pivot axis 47, that, when the separating blade 40 is pivoted from the separating position into the connecting position, the first insertion edge 41 enters the recess 30 of the first connecting fork 21 via the end face 32.As can be seen from FIG. 5 a, both the first insertion edge 41 and the second insertion edge 42 each have a chamfer 43. Furthermore, the connecting pins 30 of the first connecting fork 21 and also the connecting pins 30 of the second connecting fork 22 each have insertion bevels 33, so that both the first connecting fork 21 and the second connecting fork 22 are designed as insertion funnels 34 in the region of their end faces 32.The configuration of the separating blade 40 according to the invention makes it possible to use the shape of the first connecting fork 21 in the form of an introduction funnel 34, since the first introduction edge 41 dips into the introduction funnel 34 via the end face 32. This is because, due to the concave configuration of the outer contour of the cutting blade 40 in the region of the first insertion edge 41, the insertion edge 41 will only enter the first connecting fork 21 via its end face 32 when the cutting blade 40 is pivoted shortly before the connecting position is reached. It can be seen from FIG. 5 a that both the first connecting fork 21 and the second connecting fork 22 each have two contact projections 35 which, in the connecting position of the separating blade 40, can engage in recesses provided for this purpose. A positive and / or non-positive connection with the cutting blade 40 is also made possible by means of the contact projections 35 without the cutting blade 40 having to have depressions described above. Thus, an unintentional pivoting of the separating blade 40 from the connecting position into the separating position, which can be brought about, for example, by the force of gravity, is avoided. The electrical contacting of the connecting forks 21, 22 with the separating blade 40 is also effected by means of the contacting projections 35.List of reference numbers:1 Insulation displacement terminal 3 Terminal housing 5 Conductor insertion opening (of the terminal housing) 10 Busbar / current bar 11 First section (of the busbar) 12 Second section (of the busbar) 21 First connecting fork (of the first section) 22 Second connecting fork (of the second section) 30 Connecting finger / connecting pin (of the connecting fork) 31 Recess (of a connecting fork) 32 End face (of the connecting fork) 33 Insertion chamfer (of the connecting fork) 34 Insertion funnel (of the connecting fork) 35 Contacting projection (of the connecting fork) 40 Insulation blade 41 First insertion edge (of the pivoting blade) 42 Second insertion edge (of the pivoting blade) 43 Chamfer (of the insertion edge) 44 Contacting body (of the insulation displacement blade) 45 Insulation housing (of the insulation displacement blade) 46 Pivot pin (of the insulation displacement blade) 47 Pivot axis (of the separating blade) 48 actuation shaft (of the separating blade) x longitudinal extent (of the clamp housing) y vertical extent (of the clamp housing) z depth extent (of the clamp housing)
