Cooking appliance (10) with at least one heating device (26) and at least one water line (28, 34) which is provided with a drain valve (40, 44) with which the water line (28, 34) can be drained to an outlet (42), characterized in that the drain valve (40, 44) closes the connection to the outlet (42) as long as the pressure in the water line (28, 34) is above a predetermined threshold.
