Description

The present invention relates to a trunk protector for a motor vehicle with the features of the preamble of claim 1. Various trunk protectors for motor vehicles are known from the prior art, which are arranged in the trunk of the motor vehicle to protect the motor vehicle. German patent DE 10 2009 050 954 A1 describes a folding element for installation in the cargo area of a motor vehicle. The folding element comprises a base with two parts and a frame element. The two parts of the base are pivotally connected to each other via a hinge element. The frame is pivotally connected to the base and supports a lockable protective cover. Thus, the folding element can be opened from a non-use position to a use position and folded back from the use position to the non-use position. The unfolding and folding of the folding element described in DE 10 2009 050 954 A1 must be carried out manually by a user. A vehicle's rear opening is typically smaller than the trunk's cross-section. To utilize the trunk's full volume, the folding element must therefore only be unfolded after it has been inserted into the trunk through the vehicle's rear opening. However, unfolding the folding element inside the trunk is difficult due to the trunk's limited volume. Based on the folding element described in DE 10 2009 050 954 A1, the object of the present invention is to provide a trunk protector for a motor vehicle that is easy to handle. This problem is solved by the trunk protection for a motor vehicle with the features of claim 1. According to the invention, a trunk protector for a motor vehicle is provided, comprising a protective film with an opening and a support structure. The support structure stretches the protective film, automatically unfolds from a storage position in which the trunk protector is folded into a usable position, and can be folded back into the storage position. In the usable position, the protective film defines a receiving space. The foldable support structure comprises elastically deformable rods and / or elastically deformable rings. Thus, the trunk protector can be opened, folded, and adapted to the interior contours of various trunks. The core idea of the invention is therefore to provide a trunk protector with a support structure that folds into a storage position and automatically unfolds into a usable position. In its storage position, the trunk protector can thus be easily inserted into the trunk of a vehicle through the rear opening. Once inside the trunk, the protector then unfolds automatically. The trunk protector is therefore easy to handle. Within the scope of the present invention, the term trunk describes a space in the interior of the motor vehicle that is intended for the transport of cargo. The trunk can be located in the rear of the vehicle. The boot space can also be extended from the rear area to the front seats by folding down the rear seats. In a preferred embodiment of the trunk protector according to the invention, the protective film is waterproof. Thus, the trunk of the motor vehicle is protected from liquids contained in the trunk protector. In an exemplary embodiment of the trunk protector according to the invention, the protective film is self-cleaning. In particular, the protective film can have low wettability, so that it exhibits a lotus effect. The rods or rings of the support structure are made, for example, of fiberglass and / or steel, especially spring steel. In an exemplary embodiment, the trunk protector according to the invention comprises at least one fastening means for the detachable fastening of the trunk protector in the interior of the motor vehicle. The boot liner can be cuboid in its used position. For example, a base surface of the trunk protector arranged at the bottom in the direction of vehicle height is adapted to a base surface of the trunk. In its operating position, the outer contour of the boot protector corresponds, for example, to the inner contour of the boot. The opening is formed, for example, on a rear surface of the protective film in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, or the opening forms a rear surface of the trunk liner in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Thus, the trunk liner, even when located inside the trunk, can be easily filled and emptied. In a preferred embodiment of the trunk protector according to the invention, the opening is formed on an upper surface of the protective film in the direction of the vehicle's height, or the opening forms an upper surface of the trunk protector in the direction of the vehicle's height. The opening can be closed, for example, using the protective film. The opening can also be closed using a net. In an exemplary embodiment, the trunk protector according to the invention comprises a securing means for securing the trunk protector in the storage position against self-erecting into the use position. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments illustrated in the drawing. Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a first trunk protector according to the invention in a use position; Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the first trunk protector in a storage position; and Figure 3 shows a perspective view of a second trunk protector according to the invention in a use position. Figures 1 and 2 show a first trunk protector 2 according to the invention. The first boot protector 2 includes a protective film 6, a support structure with elastically deformable rods 8 and an opening 4 for filling and emptying the receiving space. The opening 4 is formed on a side surface of the trunk protector 2 in the form of a recess in the protective film 6. The protective film 6 is waterproof and self-cleaning. The support structure can be folded into a storage position (see Fig. 2) and automatically unfolds into a working position (see Fig. 1). In the working position, the support structure stretches the protective film 6 in such a way that it defines a receiving space. To secure the trunk protector 2 in the storage position against self-erecting into the use position, the trunk protector 2 includes a securing device 10. The securing device 10 is a band that encircles the trunk protector 2 in the storage position. Fig. 3 shows a second trunk protector 12 in a position of use. The second trunk protector 12 is essentially identical in construction to the first trunk protector 12 shown in Figs. 1 and 2. Therefore, only the distinguishing features will be described below. All other features are described above for the first trunk protector 2. The second trunk protector 12 includes a protective film 16. The protective film 16 has an opening 14. In the operating position of the second trunk protector 12, the opening is located on a side surface of the second trunk protector 12. Thus, the second trunk protector 12 can be easily loaded and emptied, even when it is located in the trunk of a motor vehicle. The opening 14 can be closed by means of a zipper through a net 18. Instead of or in addition to the mesh 18, the protective film 16 can include a closure element. The closure element can, for example, be made of the same material as the protective film 16. Other fastening methods can be used instead of the zipper.
