Abstract

A method for evaluating and / or adjusting control parameters of a controller of a vehicle's steering system, comprising the steps of: providing (S1) measurement and / or simulation data of the steering system relating to the controller's control parameters, wherein the measurement and / or simulation data are generated during a drive with the vehicle and / or during a simulation of the steering system; applying (S2) a machine learning model trained by reinforcement learning to evaluate and / or adjust the controller's control parameters to the provided measurement and / or simulation data; and evaluating and / or adjusting (S3) the controller's control parameters by the machine learning model using a performance function of the machine learning model, in particular until a predetermined performance criterion is met.
