Abstract

The invention relates to a method for identifying a mobile device (10) at a self-service terminal (20). The method comprises capturing a movement sequence (12) of the mobile device (10) by means of a capture unit (14) of the mobile device (10) in order to provide initial movement data (S10). Furthermore, the method comprises capturing the movement sequence (12) of the mobile device (10) by means of a capture unit (24) of the self-service terminal (20) in order to provide secondary movement data (S20). The method further comprises comparing the initial movement data with the secondary movement data (S30) and identifying the mobile device (10) based on the comparison of the initial movement data with the secondary movement data (S40). The invention also relates to a self-service terminal (20).
