Abstract

The invention relates to a static mixer (10, 63) for mixing at least two fluids, comprising a housing (12) with a first, second, and third mixing section (14, 16, 18). The invention further relates to a fuel cell system with such a mixer and a method for mixing. The first mixing section (14) has a first inlet (20) for a first fluid and at least one second inlet for a second fluid. The third mixing section (18) has an outlet (22) for the fluid mixture. The second inlet is configured such that the second fluid flows into the first housing section transversely to the main flow direction (26), and the at least two fluids form a fluid flow. The second mixing section (16) has a mixing structure (34) configured to redirect the fluid flow transversely to the main flow direction (26) multiple times.The third mixing section (18) has a barrier (46) with a plurality of through-openings which are designed to generate a plurality of partial flows.
